We were given a room with a view of the Plaza de Armas. It was so noisy that I couldn't bear more than 20 minutes in it. Like sitting in the street with all that constant traffic and horn beeping that Peruvians are so accustomed to using. Rooms and hallways have thick old shag carpet that looks like it could be bearing things you don't want to know about. Yikes. The other room we received faced the inner courtyard.
It was quieter but dark and musty smelling. Bathrooms are adequate and clean. Beds are awful. Stay elsewhere. It is quite expensive compared to other hotels we stayed in in various places in Peru. Breakfast is included, however, do not ask for extras because they will charge you for each item! The restaurant is run by an independent owner. We found out the hard way.
