Great place to stop for a bite to eat and/or a cold drink regardless of who you're sharing the trip with. This spot is on one on the less travelled roads up to the Sunshine Coast Hinterland and winds up to Monteville. Sure have a look around up the hill but the burgers at Rick's are fantastic.

The burgers come in two sizes. Be warned they are huge. Made with Turkish rolls they are yummy.

There is plenty of memorabilia to look at too. A regular destination for us when we're out for a ride. Just like a roadhouse with trucks parked up for a meal, Rick's regularly has a lot of cars and bikes parked outside it because of the food and ambiance.

How did I not know about this place it's been there since 2009 and is right on the Main Street in Palmwoods. Authentic American Diner style restaurant and lovely garden too. Serves the best burger I've had in Australia. One of the only places I've found that know how to make a proper iced coffee. Burgers are from around $16 but you can also get a mini size (good for lunch still big enough) for $11. The hot chips are crispy and tasty. The kids had a cheese burger and chips for $10. We will defiantly be back here and also take all our visitors. If you haven't been it's well worth the visit.

I have gone to ricks nearly on a weekly basis for the last 6 months. The burgers are simply amazing!! They have fantastic spots to sit. Nothing like a burger, some chips with aioli and a beer/coke. You can't go wrong. Check them out and the staff are super nice.

This place has a great atmosphere. With heaps of character, a great beer garden and without doubt, the best burgers around, you'd be mad to drive passed it. Prices are better than pub food prices, and these burgers aren't just a snack, they're a meal!!! Great staff too.
