Although we stayed at some wonderful B&B's during our trip through New Zealand, without reservation, my husband and I thought Kamahi Cottage was the best. The cottage is exquisite, and Liz graciously catered to our every need--although we really did not need to ask for much. Liz has put a lot of thought and planning into the cottage experience, including an extensive mini bar selection and a variety of CDs to listen to on the wonderful sound system. Kamahi Cottage also had the most comfortable bed of our three week travels. Breakfast was superb. We stopped at the cottage en route to our final destination, Auckland, and sadly, our trip back home. Staying at the Cottage was a wonderful way to end our relaxing vacation before heading for the bustle of the city/airport. You can't go wrong with Kamai Cottage!

What a paradise we've found hidden in the hills of New Zealand. The beautiful floral gardens and spectacular views, which seem endless, from your private cabin are instantly relaxing. Liz your host tops it all off with some of the best culinary creations we've experienced at a bed and breakfast. We chose to dine in our room and each course was delivered hot from the oven to our lounge chairs on the front porch. The ultimate in first class casual relaxation. We will be back!!

We booked here because of its proximity to Waitomo Caves but we were delighted to find a beautiful, secluded setting (stunning views) and a lovely, well presented and very comfortable cottage. We felt at home and welcomed as soon as we arrived. On top of that, we were able to have an excellent meal in the cottage on New Year's eve! Many thanks to Liz who is a wonderful host - producing a superb breakfast early on New Year's Day!

I was visiting the Waitomo caves for the Spellbound tour (wonderful experience by the way) and my partner found this place to stay for the night. Our hostess, Elizabeth, was absolutely wonderful and the cottage was so beautifully furnished in a country loft style all self contained. When we arrived, we had dinner served at the cottage, the meal was so tasty! I can't say enough about the place, and meeting the rest of the family was a pleasure. Elizabeth helped us book our Spellbound tours and gave very helpful directions. All in all, I wished we could have stayed longer at the cottage and hope to have the opportunity to do so next time we're in New Zealand.

The weekend doubled as our first Valentines as a married couple and my 40th, so it was pretty special occasion....we're so wrapt we chose to stay at Kamahi. Perfectly private, intimate and relaxing romance.

Liz is the eptiome of warm friendly hospitality. I had emailed the week before to ask if it was possible for her to make a celebration cake to mark our weekend, as a suprise for hubby. The cake was presented on a glass stand...covered in chocolate covered leaves, and decorated with fresh roses.....and it was divine!!!

The food is fantastic!! We had dinner served outside as we sat and soaked in the gorgeous view. And breakfast was sooo yummy. You definitely will not be left hungry after one of Liz's meals:-)

The cottage was immaculate and had everything you needed, I loved the organic bathroom products, oils & lotions. A fantastic stay.....we hope to be back soon.

It was the perfect way to end our trip through New Zealand. Both my fiancee and I thought that we had found a little slice of heaven. Inside the cottage you could find everything that you could need in case you had forgotten anything and the owners were more than willing to help us with booking a tour through the Waitomo Caves.

The view from the cottage was astounding. From the front door of the cottage you got to see a bit that New Zealand had to offer. The cottage itself was kept immaculate and there wasn't a thing out of place. We felt bad putting things down and messing things up :).

The food was another story all together. We were completely taken aback by the amount and the quality of the food that we were served. An incredible 3-course dinner, followed the next morning with homemade EVERYTHING!!

It was an incredible stay and neither one of us wanted to leave.

If you are touring New Zealand you should definitely make the Kamahi Cottage a place to stop and stay awhile. Martha Stewart should stay here and take pointers!
