We've dined at Giallo's on a number of ocassions (dining for tapa's on all occasions), and have never been disappointed by either the food, the service, or the experience.

Great place to go with a group of friends for a shared plate experience. Great place also to take the girl for a romantic night out.

Food quality, serving size, and menu options are fantastic. And the price is reasonable for what you get.

Sitting outside on a warm summers night drinking wine and eating tapas is just perfect. You are so close to the city, but you wouldnt know it. Doesn't really feel like you're dining in Adelaide.

Only negative comment is that for a wine bar, the wines list could be a little more extensive. Having said that though, all of what they had on offer were very nice.

Definitely recommend a visit.

My friend and I had to wait for at least 10 mins to get a seat when it wasn't busy (staff had eye contact with us while standing but ignored us a few times) and we had to wait for another 10-15 mins to get menu. Food was average but atmosphere wasn't too bad. Overall we had bad dining experiences there and would never recommend anyone.

We visited this lovely restaurant during the Adelaide Fringe Festival. It was a ten minute walk from the Garden of Unearthly Delights.
It is small inside with around 40 covers and a nice outside area. Staff were excellent, friendly and very helpful. Most dishes were suitable for sharing and we chose the pan fried halumi with salsa verde($13) and the Spanish white anchovies with chilli and capers ($12) to start. Both dishes were well seasoned and tasted delicious. For our second plate we chose pan seared scallops on cauliflower puree ($23), king prawns with lemon, coriander and kipfler potatoes ($26) and Portuguese marinated quail with saffron pilaf and eggplant relish ($21). Again very well presented and tasted wonderful. Easily enough for four of us.
For our mains, two of us chose the 300g grain fed Scotch fillet with cider glazed shattots, green sauce and horseradish ($38). Unfortunately the steak let the whole menu down. Not particularly flavoursome, presented in a large lump on the plate and to add insult to injury the two steaks which had been ordered rare and medium rare came medium and medium!
However our two friends had no complaints and thoroughly enjoyed the chicken dish ($28) and special menu fish dish ($33).
The wine list is really good and we managed three bottles over the three hours we were there. Our total bill came to $391.
We would have no hesitation in going to Giallo again - we would just avoid the steak!

Chief Adam and second chef Simon, know what they are doing,my beetroot salad entre was fantastic and the main fish dish fantastic, crispy skin and yet not over cooked. But the location in Kent Town so close to the city is quite and sitting under that giant Chinese Elm in summer is magic.

This is a great little restaurant, though it does also have a small bar with a great wine list. A 10 minute walk from the eastern end of the Rundle Street strip in the city, it seats only about 40 inside, packed in tightly. We did a 9pm sitting on a Saturday night - when we arrived the place was packed with about 8 groups having a great time. The place has a buzz and the noise level is high, so not the place for a romantic dinner or important business dinner, but hard to beat for a fun night out with great food and an excellent wine list, covering more obscure Australian labels plus Spanish and Italian reds. We shared two starters and a main and everything was well presented and tasty. Moroccan chicken was excellent. No room for desserts this visit, but what we saw at other tables looked good. When we left at 10.30, no-one else had left and the place was still buzzing, with some tables enjoying post-dessert cocktails and shots.
