A warm welcome from Katie who showed us our room and explained how everything worked. We stayed in Maple and it was lovely with a very comfy four poster bed, en-suite bathroom and kitchenette. My husband has dietary problems so never easy to eat out so this was perfect with the kitchenette where we could prepare a simple evening meal and breakfast ourselves. Dan and Katie were so friendly it was a shame not to have had breakfast and seen more of them!
The setting is just perfect and so quiet so that a good night's sleep is assured. The chocolate brownies which were waiting for me were absolutely delicious too and of course I was delighted to eat them both! We would love to return to such a great find.

Only just got the chance to share the wonderful experience I had when I stayed here with my boyfriend at the end of January. Finally arriving after breaking my sat nav, it was lovely to be greeted personally by one of the owner's Dan, who made sure everything was okay before we went into our room. I wasn't sure what I was expecting when I went inside but I couldn't have asked for anything better! The decoration and set up was amazing with unique and excellent attention to detail, I was so impressed by it all that I wanted to stay inside for the whole duration of our stay! As we weren't familiar with any surrounding areas Dan recommended a local place for us to go and eat in the evening and the food was gorgeous, the evening made even better knowing that we were returning to such a great place! The bed was so comfy that we got a fantastic night's sleep and woke up to the sun shining on the beautiful house and surrounding land (very picturesque). We had our cooked breakfast in the morning and it was amazing, it was made with locally sourced produce and there was a great selection of things to choose from. We opted for the Full-English, which turned out to be a Half-English by the time we had asked not to have certain things as we are both so fussy, yet this was no hassle for the owners! We were unsure of what we wanted to do the following day and Dan helped us out by recommending places to visit and even drawing us a detailed map to assist us on our journey - honestly the friendliest hosts I have ever come across, nothing was too much trouble! We were even sad to leave but know that we will definitely be returning at some point in the future to have another enjoyable stay, we want to try out all of the rooms lol, i'm sure they are all as amazing as the one we stayed in! If you are thinking about booking a stay here then just do it, you won't regret it as our entire stay from start to finish was beautiful and I will never forget it!
Thank you! :Dx

Can't say enough good things about this place. Awesome in a nutshell. Hosts Dan and Katie were fab. Rooms were like mini cottages with a kitchenette, en-suite and bedroom. Immaculate and luxurious. Loved the 2 dogs and the chickens!! Breakfast was amazing and the attention to detail for everything is superb. The homemade choc brownies in the room were also the best I've ever tasted. Nothing was too much trouble and the setting is out of this world. A must for people who love a bit of quality with amazing surroundings and rooms.

We stayed at Hayeswood Lodge as a couple for just one night mid-February after finding it on Trip Advisor and reading the great reviews. We literally couldn't have imagined a better B&B to stay at! As we live in Nottingham this was an ideal getaway at just 25 minutes drive away. We stayed in the Maple room which is gorgeous and has a stunning four poster bed. Upon arrival we received a warm and friendly welcome from Dan who showed us to our room (which had delicious homemade lemon cupcakes waiting for us in the kitchenette!) and explained how the lights, shower and room thermostat worked, then offered to bring us hot drinks to enjoy with the cakes as we settled in.

There are plenty of eateries and amenities a short drive away, including several pubs, a more up scale restaurant at Morley Hayes Golf Club, and a retail park about a 10 minute drive away with a cinema, Morrisons etc, which would come in handy if you decided that you'd like to cook a meal within the comfort of your room as each has its own kitchenette containing toaster, kettle, electric hob and microwave. The room information book also contains details of local takeaways that deliver to the lodge, as well as a great list of DVDs that you can borrow to watch in your room!

Breakfast was a fantastic experience for us. We were the first to arrive and chose a lovely table by the window with the sun streaming through. The vanilla coffee is delicious and it's great knowing the eggs on your breakfast plate come from the chickens you can see just outside! Dan was happy to accommodate for additional requests if you wanted to alter your meal slightly. You can choose to have breakfast in your room if you wish but the breakfast room is lovely and provides great views over the grounds, so I would recommend you eat in here at least one morning of your stay!

Check out is at 11am and we did make sure to stay until 10.59am to get the most out of our one night stay! It is true to say that we did not want to leave. It was a real treat to stay here. Hayeswood Lodge is excellent because of the unique rooms, great location and wonderful breakfast, but is then made exceptional because of such friendly and welcoming hosts, who are genuinely interested in their guests and make an effort to provide extra little details to make your stay special. One night just wasn't enough, we can't wait to go back!

Took my girlfriend to Hayeswood Lodge for Valentine's weekend and couldn't have picked a better place.

From beginning to end the service was fantastic, with the owners going out of their way to accommodate us and my requests. I got the feeling nothing was too much hassle and they were only too happy to help me organise a few surprise treats along the way.

The room (we had "Oak") was spectacular and had everything you could hope for. All facilities were clean, worked fine and the underfloor heating kept a constant lovely warm temperature all weekend. Breakfast was excellent both days, the first of which we decided to have in the room - a lovely touch!

On the grounds of the lodge there are 2 friendly dogs, and even some chickens! I recommend a look around, and do ask about the before/after photos of the conversion, a stunning transformation!

All in all, couldn't be happier and will be returning in the future for sure.

All the best Dan & Katie, keep up the good work- the results speak for themselves.

Thanks Ben. Really enjoyed hosting you both and am glad to see that romance is alive and well. I have never seen so many Valentines treats in 1 room. Thanks for making my Valentines efforts look pathetic!! See you again sometime. Dan.

Have just returned from a one night surprise 30th birthday/valentines day night away with my husband organised by family and wow did they get it right. We stayed in the maple room with the four poster bed, very romantic, it had everything we needed and was incredibly cosy. We loved the individual style of the rooms . The room was also very accessible, which was great as I am currently on crutches with a broken ankle so being able to move around easily and access everything was a bonus. The hosts Dan and Katie were very welcoming. They had previously allowed some family into the room earlier in the day so they can fill the handy fridge and room with treats for us. The lodge was so quiet that you would think that you were in the middle of nowhere, when in fact so close to local amenities. The breakfast was delicious and very filling and was great that we could have chosen to eat it in our room if we wanted. Would definitely recommend this place to family and friends. Thank you for a wonderful experience.

My husband and I stayed for 2 nights at the end of January, just a getaway, some chill time without the children. Upon our arrival both Dan & Katie were very welcoming indeed & we had tea & homemade cake. We stayed in 'Willow' which was beautiful, but Dan did show us the other rooms which were all equally beautiful & unique, with exquisite taste and décor. The kitchenette idea was fab & we made full use of these facilities. Everything in the room was comfortable, luxurious with attention to detail on every element.
On our first night we chilled in the lodge & loaned a DVD of which they have a great list.
Breakfast on both mornings were fabulous, with local produce & the vanilla coffee was wonderful, along with those blueberry pancakes which were the best I have ever tasted!!.
We thoroughly enjoyed our break, felt very relaxed and chilled and that was down to the luxurious accommodation, fab host & hostess and amazing food! I have raved about to everyone since our return & we are looking forward to returning soon & come back with some great ideas for decorating at home as I just loved both Dan & Katie's taste. Thanks for a lovely time.

Room Tip: All rooms are fabulous with unique décor & touch!!
