We stayed for one night and really enjoyed the tranquility of the place. We had a lovely loft room. The attention to detail is what we appreciated. Very lovely. The loft room was spacious and had good views, also it was very quiet. It must be noted that all the little touches like fresh roses, ground coffee for the plunger, jar of biscuits and all the goodies in the bathroom were really lovely and made everything special. The bed linen was also exceptional and added a touch of class to this B&B. Would have been great to stay longer. Recommendation for dinner was good to (as were the other recommendations given). I liked the touch of the little braai and pub area - very good idea especially if a family/families take the Villa as a holiday spot for a bit. Breakfast was beautifully laid out and once again all the finer touches were noticed - set out in a large dining room with big windows and doors leading out to a covered patio (where you could also choose to break your fast), with pretty linen serviettes, and bone china. The gardens and pool area are very well kept and create an oasis after a busy day or trekking about. We felt safe and secure and appreciated the indoor parking for our hired car. You are far enough out of town to not have noise and traffic, but close enough to enjoy a short (safe) stroll into town for lunch, dinner or exploration.

I highly recommend this spot to travellers through the region. Our host was very helpful, friendly, and exceptionally accommodating.

Room Tip: All rooms looked lovely. Loft room has lovely views, and if the Villa is busy/full, this may be the quieter option. However, the rooms in the house are beautifully laid out, and one roomm had a large 4-poster bed and delightful en suite.

We spent five nights at Villa Victoria and were very sad to leave this charming place. We truly felt at home and often had the entire place to ourselves. The Victorian furnishing, rose garden, four poster bed and lovely bathroom, with the ball and claw bath, lent a wonderfully romantic atmosphere to the last week of our honeymoon. The mountain views from our room and bathroom were great.
The wonderful gardens and relaxing atmosphere meant that we often just stayed at the guest house and relaxed there. We were able to use the kitchen to prepare some light meals for ourselves at night and Louise had the braai area prepared and a fire stacked for us when we decided to have a BBQ.
Louise and Lucy were fantastic; from being so friendly and helpful with sightseeing advice, to being willing to come in early to make an early breakfast for us to accommodate our early departure due to having to catch a morning flight. Breakfasts were not only delicious and very satisfying, but wonderfully presented in a manner that complimented the romantic Victorian feel.
We really felt like royalty and will be returning again in the future. I would highly recommend Villa Victoria if you are in the Montagu area.

Room Tip: The best rooms are either the honeymoon or loft suites.

Villa Victoria is a fantastic venue - Louise is an amazing hostess and really goes out of her way to make you feel welcome. The rooms are gorgeous and the house itself is an absolute gem - classic features, wooden floors, decor etc. The garden is amazing - so amazing in fact that my wife and I got engaged there.

We were so impressed that we even worked Villa Victoria into our honeymoon trip. Truly fantastic!

Room Tip: Honeymoon suite is fantastic - great bathroom too!

This must be one of the best kept sectrets in the whole area. Beautiful rooms, fantastic garden and wonderful staff that would go all the way in making it a wonderful stay. The breakfast is a bliss... Especially Louise's egg specialities and Lucy's humour and great service! You'll miss out if you don't go there! Tertius & Jan-Willem

Our very rare weekend away from our children was made all the more amazing by our visit to Villa Victoria where were treated like royalty. Our room was spotless and so cosy and stylishly decorated that we didn't want to leave it. The chandelier, victorian style bath, skylights affording amazing mountain views and beautiful linen all added to the perfect ambience. We were treated to an ample, delicious breakfast and such friendly hospitality. Villa Victoria is a definite must if visiting Montagu!

Room Tip: The loft rooms are amazing. Skylights afford you the privilege of waking up to amazing mountain views.
