This hotel was chosen for my colleagues and I during a business trip and I was pleasantly surprised at how nice it was. Definitely no English spoken at this hotel so prepare for that, but the high-end presentation and stunning views make up for this. I had one of the other buildings from the same resort blocking my full view to the lake, but if you have the choice try to stay in a room that has the best view as the sunrise is simply amazing. Great stay, service could've been a little better.

Room tip: try to get a room in the building closest to the lake, it has the best views.

I could tell the property is purposely built as a residential building, but it could be difficult to sell at a resort city especially the property market is quite soft these few years. In fact, the so called resort hotel is more like a "vacation apartment", you just enjoy the large room but dont expect to have any kind of hospitality service. If you want something more, you may go to the Sheraton at the opposite where you may get some hotel services. Both hotels are situated within the same property development, so they share facilities like car park and swimming pool etc.

Locationwise, the hotel is just besides the Lake where you enjoy the scene and many good local restaurants are just nearby. But if I go there again, I will pretty much to stay at Hilton where the hotel is better design and with a better lake view. A local travel agency at Hilton also offers a scenery boat service around the Lake at a resonaable rate, and the boat itself is very nice and equip with comfortable sofa for passengers.

This was a great 1 week family stay. Our first night was a little "bumpy" as we adjusted our expectations as after a long drive we were a little frazzled. Although once you realised it is a "chinese run" place and not western like the Sheraton next door you're all good.
Our highlight was the kitchenette in the room, it meant that we could prepare all our meals in the room saving a ton of money. Bring all your own kitchen equipment as they only provide tea cups, and the fridge is a bar fridge. The pool was good although you do also need swimming caps, and bring your own towel (or use your bath towel, no pool towels provided) and they have odd opening times 7am-11am and 3pm-9pm I think this is so they can rent out the pool area for wedding photo shoots during the middle of the day. All in all it was a great stay, we didn't leave the resort as we had brought everything with us. There is a nice boulevard that you can walk up and down (the kids had their scooters) and there is also a covered play area incase of rain or hot sun that the kids burned energy off on. Breakfast was pretty average, heavily chinese (expected) coffee was pretty terrible and the fruit was hit and miss.
We did have a little trouble trying to ask for things, we have an intermediate level of Chinese and it was an effort asking for things (extra towels) that are simple requests.

Room tip: lake view room, there is a light show with the other islands at night

The location is great, right in the town but overlooking the lake, so that you get to eat out conveniently and also be facing the pristine lake.
The lobby manager speaks English well and although there was a glitch with the booking through Agoda( we had asked for a date change but the confirmation which I didn't bother to check again repeated the earlier dates), both Agoda and the lobby manager were gracious enough to transfer the date by a day so that we didn't have to pay an extra day. The rooms are spacious comfortable. Breakfast too a good, mostly Chinese but enough for the western traveller.
There are no restaurants in this property so one needs to amble across to theSheraton adjacent or out to main road where there is an outstanding Chinese restaurant called A 1 or some such thing. It's bang opposite the hotel lane that meets the main road.

Rooms were great, pool was good, view fantastic, modern resort in great location. Can tell it is aimed at Chinese customers though, small things, like pool being closed for certain periods, buffet food very chinese, taking 15 minutes to get answer on anything. Toss up if you want to pay extra for this service go to sheraton, if want to save a few $$$ you will be happy with this resort. I would go back.
