A great hotel for families and couples alike. We stayed here with our two kids in September and we were very impressed with the hotel. The hotel pool is very nice (larger than we expected given the hotel is relatively small compared to the large international chains) and we spent most our time just hanging out around the pool deck.

Rooms were nice (but nothing extraordinary) with the bathtub on the balcony a pleasant surprise!

The Spa was excellent (my wife tells me) and the Japanese restaurant on-site also very good.

Only (slight) negative comment would be that the food and service at the restaurant for lunch wasn't the best. (Slow service and not great food). But there are plenty of places to eat - either along the beach or along the road.

Would definitely recommend this hotel for anyone looking to stay at Batu Ferringhi.

This is a great resort far away from town, great venue to wing down and rest under the sun by the pool. Unique set up, warm and spacious. Bath tub is build on the balcony.

Great restaurant and bar, lay back and be pamper by their staff. Breakfast restaurant is facing the sea. Almost all their rooms has a sea view.

There is a food court just walking distant to the resorts, had a wonderful spring roll done very differently, it is wrap with a special skin, steam then deep fried. This is really worth the walk.

First stay and visit to Penang for us. We celebrated our first wedding anniversary and found Lone Pine via the internet. We will stay here again too! Lovely setting, grounds, old world charm with a modern facelift. Service was without fault at every transaction / encounter. The General Manager of the hotel met us as we checked in, and also again the next day as we were dining. One problem that occured was with their ladies night (Friday) in the lounge. The music they had (if you can call it that!) roared on until 2 a.m. and echoed into the rooms. TERRIBLE and I wrote the general manager about it. They have had many complaints so perhaps they will listen.
Meanwhile do consider it if you want peaceful surroundings and to be right on the beach. The Spa is excellent too!

Room Tip: Second floor in the old wing is our choice for view and more peaceful experience. (pic attached)

Finally, I found a place that I could describe as heaven!!!...The rooms are simple and refreshing. The hotel is just by the seaside with ample car parking lots. It is also situated at the beginning of the night market so one could easily do window shopping during night time. The staffs are friendly and helpful. One of the best thing about this hotel is that the various selection of food presented for the guests during breakfast. The omelettes is just simply delicious!!!!!...Definitely, will go back again with my family soon!!!!....worth single cent spent!!!

Room Tip: Always try to ask for the rooms facing the seaside. It is simply amazing!

Hotel not required to silence and peace. Party unfolded until twelve o'clock midnight organized by the hotel in the garden in front of the room, fireworks you do not want resounds like a surging wave until midnight. It may be good for those looking for a noisy hotel

Dear Panchocorate,

It is rather unfortunate that during your stay with us you had to experience some noise that came from a wedding reception. Please accept our sincere apologies on this issue however I would like to clarify that all our events end at 11.00 pm as stipulated in our sales contract. We will always emphasized this to the respective organizer. Furthermore we will also have a letter of notice placed in all the occupied rooms so that they are aware that an event is held during that particular evening. Again, our apologies for this short coming and we wish you a pleasant year ahead.

Kind regards,
Khoo Boo Lim
EAM
