We spent 6 days at Hopkins Inn. Rita and Greg are the perfect hosts. We had a private cabana right on beautiful swimming beach. We could hear and see the surf from our room! Rita delivered a lively breakfast of fresh breads and fruits every morning. Alycia kept our rooms fresh and tidy while sharing local culture.
You have a refrigerator and coffee maker in the room for snack and morning coffee.
Hopkins is a quaint fishing village with warm, friendly people.
We will be back!

We loved the beach front cabana just steps from the ocean. We were lulled to sleep every night by the sound of the waves. The cabana was very clean and well maintained. The owners, Rita and Greg live onsite so I felt very safe all the time. Rita served a fruit and local baked breads every morning and there was a coffee maker in the cabana. What a great way to start the day. The beach is endless and no sea grass just soft sand. We would definitely stay there again.

Hopkins Inn in Hopkins, Belize is right on the beach. Cabanas are less than 40 feet from the surf. Each cabana has private bath, fridge, coffeemaker, and covered porch with table and chairs looking out on the surf. This isn't a resort. It's a comfortable place to while away some time enjoying the Belizean sun and surf in a quiet atmosphere. Rita and Greg are wonderful hosts.

This was our 4th year staying at the Hopkins Inn, with Rita & Greg Duke. You will not find more pleasant, welcoming hosts, including their dog, Lucy!

The cabanas are very clean, comfortable and right on the beach, and Rita serves a scrumptious breakfast of fruits, locally made breads and juice on the patio each morning! Hopkins Inn is within Hopkins Village so a quick walk to many restaurants, and a beautiful walk on the beach as well!

We so look forward to our returns to the Hopkins Inn and the friends we've made there.

Oceanfront, balconies, breakfast each morning, great owners. They even wake up each morning to clear the trash that unfortunately washes up on shore each day. The rooms are just wonderful and the sunrise is right outside your front door, along with the Hopkins culture and town. Seriously a wonderful place to stay.

This is the perfect place to stay in Hopkins! The Hopkins Inn is within walking distance of restaurants, groceries, and on the beach! The host, Rita, is so friendly and caters to your every need. Continental breakfast is included and served on your patio overlooking the Caribbean. We were there during the Christmas holidays and Rita served us their special Christmas Cake...deep chocolate and scrumptious. For great local food try Innies Restaurant (especially their local hudutu) and Laruni Hati (overlooking the Caribbean). Ours cabin had 2 bedrooms, a clean bath with good shower/tub, and kitchen area with frig. The bedrooms had fans and we were perfectly comfortable. The sunrises/sunsets were beautiful and you can sit on the beach in lawn chairs provided. The water is very clean and early morning walks on the beach are a must!

Room Tip: There are only 2 cabins...ours was a tad closer to the beach. It was the one directly in front of t...

Four lovely beachside cabanas is all that Hopkins Inn has and all that it needs. The cabanas are clean and well set up (comfy beds, table and chair, coffee and tea, and a very useful refrigerator) and the bathrooms, though on the small side, are also clean and well supplied. The beach front is small but, as with everything in Hopkins, you're pretty much guaranteed to have it all to yourself except for the neighborhood kids jumping in and out in the evenings. There is a small grocery store right outside, an Indian restaurant across the driveway, Thong's cafe a short walk away, and the excellent bar at Windschief and, with a supply of beer and the fresh fruit and home baked breads that Rita supplies in the morning, you could spend weeks at the Inn doing nothing other than watching the waves and strolling across for lunch or a drink! Or walking across to the nicest library you've ever had the honor to visit! If sitting around is not your thing, Rita and Greg will gladly direct you to the many things you can do a short drive or boatride away from this beautiful town!

Bottom line. Hopkins is a great place to hang out or to base yourself for all adventures Belizean, and Hopkins Inn is the best place to stay in at Hopkins (unless you're a resort loving sort of person!).

Room Tip: Ask for one of the two seaside cabanas. They cost a bit more but .....!
