As my title states, it has all been said but it cannot be said enough. Hamanasi does it all and they do it right! If you are looking to party, look elsewhere. If you are looking to go on adventures and have some serious relaxation, this is your place!
As it has been stated, no tv or wi-fi in the rooms. The wi-fi in the guest house is adequate for regular use. The construction on the guest house was not an issue for us. And I hope to go back one day and see it completed.
The diving was amazing! And my wife completed her open water certification while we were there. I cannot say enough about the dive center and adventure center staff! Terrill, C-dog, everyone they were all incredibly thorough and patient. The equipment was in good shape and well maintained.
The adventures were great too, nut pay attention to the ratings. When they say strenuous they mean it!
The bar staff was amazing and had your favorites memorized immediately. Try the specials!
The food was amazing and I'd definately suggest doing the adventure/meal packages! We were there 8 days and never got bored with the selections. The lionfish cerviche was amazing!
All in all, if you want adventures, diving, great food, amazing service, wonderful accommodations, Hamanasi is the place for you!
Definately make you way into Hopkins and visit. The people are amazing as are the local restaurants and shopping.

Our 2nd stay at Hamanasi beginning of August was as wonderful as the first 6 years ago! All of the staff, and I mean from the front desk, adventure staff, tour guides, grounds keepers, to restaurant staff, are professional, gracious, and friendly. Our rooms were beautiful, as are the grounds of the resort. The food was delicious. A different main course menu every night. Had great weather, even though it's the rainy season. Will definitely recommend to others!

Hamanasi Resort is an amazing place to relax and enjoy life whether as a couple, with friends or in our case as a family vacation. It is truely a boutique resort with individual attention paid to all details small and large. We were welcomed into the Hamanasi Family and felt like we belonged. We stayed in two Beach Front Rooms one of which accommodated our adult children ages 25, 22 and 18 in one room, each with a queen sized bed (the futon appeared to be a queen size) and a king bed in the second room. The dinners were delicious and beautifully presented. Breakfast buffets were a real treat, varied from day to day and lunch was always fabulous. We bought a package deal and the tours were conducted by very knowledgeable guides. Lunches on the tours were wonderful. We attended the Mayan history tour, the Cave, Jungle tour and snorkling two days in a row. There are many more adventures in our future and we hope to return as scuba divers. Excellence is in the details. We look forward to the new dining room and regret that the roads will soon be paved. The bumpy ride added to the attraction. Kudos to the entire staff! There are so many resorts to choose from in Belize, but this one is very special, off the beaten path, and epitomizes the true meaning of vacation.

Room Tip: Beach front rooms are fantastic coming from the northwest, but the treehouse rooms are very private...

This is one of those rare places where reality is better than the website! The resort is small, but gorgeous. The accommodations are very nice. It is not a slick resort, but more like "luxe-rustic". Vey natural, but with an exceptional attention to detail. I've stayed at many nice places around the world and don't recall a staff that was this personal, attentive and charming. The restaurant was excellent, with good variety, beautiful plating and good tasting.

The "adventures" were incredibly well organized and all were great fun for our whole family (2 college age kids and a middle schooler). Everyone agreed best vacation ever.

Belize was also great. Sort of exotic, but still spoke english and everyone we encountered seemed freindly and competent. The nearby town of Hopkins is very much a 3rd world poor village, but everyone was happy and once you adjusted to it, it was pleasant (BTW, you could easily stay at Hamanasi and never visit Hopkins other than to drive through if you wish).

Room Tip: The beachfront rooms all have beautiful views from front porches and steps from pool, restaurant, an...

Everything about Belize was absolutely beautiful, but staying at Hamanasi made it feel like home. The staff got to know our names so when we sat down for a delicious meal every morning and evening, it felt like we were at a friend's house. From the moment we arrived and got our welcome drinks to the sad day we departed to come back home, we didn't have to think about a thing! Everything was taken care of for us and the staff always went above and beyond...with a smile on their faces! Somehow, it was perfectly relaxing and adventurous at the same time. We enjoyed everything we did--cave hiking, mountain hiking to a waterfall where we went swimming, ziplining through the rainforest, snorkeling in the crystal clear water at the coral reef, horseback riding through the orange groves, kayaking and even just taking the complimentary bikes to the friendly town of Hopkins. It was a dream and we can't wait to plan our next trip ... once we're certified in scub diving!

Everyone we met from the tour guides to the drummers to the people at the grocery store in town welcomed us with a wave and couldn't wait to share their culture with us. I feel like we learned so much about Belize. I've travelled to many places in the U.S. and overseas and Hamanasi is by far one of my most enjoyable, memorable vacations yet.

I will say, if you're looking for a luxurious or ritzy location, this isn't it. There aren't shops, large restaurants or evenly paved roads, but as long as you're prepared for that, you'll love every minute of it!

Room Tip: We stayed in the beachfront villa for 4 nights and the treehouse for another 4 nights. They're b...

Hamanasi Resort does not fall short of the expectations from the awesome trip adviser reviews. We stayed there for a week this July and the experience was absolutely awesome. They make the whole experience really easy, from travel from Belize City until you step onto the resort. They take great care to make sure your adventures are planned, and that you don't forget what you are doing each day. The adventures are really fantastic, and the tour guides (Golden, Ehms, and Antonio especially!) are so wonderful. The waterfall hike and cave tour involves some moderate climbing and I am petrified of heights - the guides made me feel at ease and guided me through it the entire way paying special attention to me because of my fear of heights. This was really appreciated!

The food at the resort is outstanding. I recommend the meal/adventure package which is what we did. Everything was just taken care of. Breakfast was continental everyday, with numerous fresh juices that changed daily, homemade breads, eggs, granola, etc. It was really yummy and perfect since we left in the AM for most adventures. The lunch menu stays the same everyday apart from the specials, but there is enough variety where I didn't get bored. Especially since on the longer trips, Hamanasi provides a packed lunch. This was also so great. I expected sandwiches or something, but they actually bring fresh chicken, rice and beans, salads, a full meal! It was great. The dinners were also AMAZING. The lobster was SOOO good. It is 10 bucks extra but the tails were HUGE and so worth it. The dinner menu also changes everyday and is outstanding. Key lime pie dessert was my favorite!

The room was super clean, and the AC worked great. The staff kept our room free of sand which I really appreciate. We were on the beachfront. The happy hour was a lot of fun, and drinks were yummy, although a touch pricey but not too bad.

Everything at this resort is wonderful and I highly recommend it! You won't regret your choice!

The staff was friendly and very helpful, they knew our names after the first day. The dive shop offered the best service of any dive shop that we have used. From storing our dive gear to transferring it to the boat and assembling for the dives to daily cleaning and a dive profile spread sheet at the end of our stay. A top notch service.
The wait staff were wonderful, friendly greetings at 5:30 AM, coffee ready, prompt service at all meals and the meals were very good.
The resort was a bit out of the way ( 20 minute puddle jumper ride from Belize City and 45 minute van ride) but the van driver told us of some of the sites and answered questions during the ride.
Entertainment at the resort was very good, local drummers and singers and dancers were very entertaining and educational.
The in-land tours were educational and fun, well planned and the intensity levels were accurately noted.
During our stay we became friends with most of the other guests due to the small resort feel and shared experiences.
Do be aware of the "no see ums". Bug spray is needed on occasion, not always but occasionally.
The rooms do not have wi-fi but it is available at the dining area, my experience was that it was slow.
