Me and my family came to costa rica for two weeks and all that time we stayed in feugo lodge- we had so much fun that we left on the day of our flight!!!!
My kids fell in love with this great place and Specially from tha amazing pool.
I was very surprise and happy from the condo - it was big, clean and comfteble to fit all of us.
We had everything we needed in the condo; great living room ,balcony and nice kitchen
The location of the hotel is great minutes walk from the beach , restaurants and the super market.
But the sweetest part of all wes the SUPERB hospitality from Barbara, itay and there two beautiful daughters.

I have been in Fuego for almost two weeks with my friend and it was a very fun stay.the pool is very clean and fun with a geart feeling of the nature. The room was very big and clean. Barbara and Itay (the owners) are the best. They helped us in all our trip schedule and were very nice. The Fuego is located near the beach. Very good place.I recommend it very much.

Believe what you read in the reviews here. Fuego Lodge is a great place to stay! My daughter and I had one of the poolside suites. It was spacious for the two of us and very clean and comfortable. The pool is beautiful and we spent more time hanging out by the pool than I expected. The lodge is conveniently located by the grocery store, several good restaurants, and a great surf shop (Del Soul). The beach is a short, easy walk away. Barbara, Itay and their daughters made our stay extra-special. What a great family! Barbara made all of the arrangements for several day trips for us and provided good information and recommendations. She really goes out of her way to make sure you have a great vacation. We're already talking about our next trip to Fuego Lodge. Do yourself a favor - stay here!

After reading so many great reviews about Fuego, we were pretty sure we were going to like it, but what really stands out among all the other things is Barbara, the owner. To begin, she was really great about communicating before we arrived and helping us figure out which rooms to take (we had nine people total.) The 9 of us ended up taking the entire apartment building which was fantastic. My husband and I had the penthouse, which is lovely - especially with the comfy terrace including hammock. The other parents had a 1 BR apartment and that connected with the 2 BR apartment where we put all 5 kids. So the kids were able to get to a parent if need be, but they felt really independent and the adults had privacy.

The grounds are beautiful and as others have said the pool area is so nice, that you spend more time there than you think you will. The location was also great. We loved being able to walk to the beach, market, and a number of good restaurants. (Also, ask Barbara about her favorite smoothie place) Hearing the howler monkeys (but not too loudly) in the evneing and morning made you really feel you were in nature.

But again, it's the service of Barbara and Itay that made me want to give it 5 stars. They helped arrange EVERYTHING - surfing, fishing, a grill on which to cook the fish, restaurant reservations and recommendations, taxis, aloe for a few sunburned people. They really go out of their way to make you feel welcome and to see that you enjoy your stay.

Go there - you won't be dissappointed.

Fuego Lodge is truly paradise. The rooms are beautiful and open. The balconies are equipped with wonderful hammocks. The pool is pristine. The grounds are lush and green. Bard and Itay are always around, super helpful, and a friendly, fun loving couple.
I had the most amazing experience at Fuego Lodge. I planned on travelling around the pacific coast for a week and ended up spending the rest of my trip there once I found it. There is no need to go anywhere else. It is picture perfect. I will definitely be going back!
Book early!!

I stayed at the Fuego Lodge for two weeks in late December early January. I couldn't have asked for a more pleasurable experience. The property is beautifully set on a slope of land just off the main street in Santa Teresa; a grocery store conveniently located at the foot of the driveway. I shared the third floor suite and instantly fell in love with our balcony - The view, the hammock, the forrest, the company, the sound of the tide, perfect. Barb and Itay, the proprietors of this paradise, brought our stay to the next level. Barb knew me by name when I arrived and Itay hooked us up with everything else we needed - surf boards, atvs, restaurants, etc. If you're looking to get away and experience something truly wonderful, go to Fuego. See you soon Barb and Iaty! Sofi and Eden too!

Room Tip: 3rd floor balcony. :-)

We had the good fortune of choosing to stay at Fuego Lodge for our long weekend in Santa Teresa. The hotel grounds are lovely, lush and well-maintained. Our two-bedroom, two-story apartment had everything we needed for a comfortable visit and the air conditioning was a welcome amenity. My two children loved the pool. It was made for small children and families to use and they would have been more than happy to have spent the entire stay splashing in the pool. The entire hotel property is just beautiful and extremely tranquil. There are plenty of outside showers to refresh yourself or wash off salt water or chlorine. We left bathing suits and towels outside to dry and never feared for theft. The owner, Barbara, and her husband are very friendly, welcoming, and more than happy to answer any questions about the area or offer suggestions for beaches to surf and restaurants to visit. We will definitely return to Fuego Lodge during our next visit to Santa Teresa.
