I desperately miss the food and service from Shambala restaurant! Our honeymoon package at Hotel Tropico Latino included breakfast, lunch and dinner at Shambala each day. My husband I aren't huge eaters and don't tend to finish our entire meal--but we never left anything on the plate!!! Three times a day we enjoyed delicious, fresh and beautifully prepared food. The alcoholic drinks and non-alcoholic smoothies were top notch, too. Such fresh ingredients!

The food was only half of the experience. We loved the service from Roberto, Marcos and Junior so much (everyone else was amazing as well). They were professional and kind but engaged with us and helped us with tourist and language questions. What a wonderful group of employees!!!

Thanks you so much to the amazing Shambala staff!!!!!

My husband and I stayed at Hotel Tropico Latino and ate at Shambala three times for breakfast and twice for dinner. Everything we tried was delicious! Some of our favorites: handmade pasta tinted with squid ink, fresh mahi mahi (dorado), blackberry creme brulee, and french toast with strawberry coulis/star fruit. The service was outstanding at every meal, and the head chef stopped by once to check on us. The staff spoke English very well. A special thanks to Marcos, one of our servers, who patiently helped me practice my little bit of Spanish. Just look for the Shambala sign along the main road and follow the pebble path through well-maintained gardens to the open-air restaurant with ocean views!

This is just meters from the beach but is also secluded and tucked away. Amazing ocean view and able to watch the surf whilst enjoying great food. Very few places with sea views and food so really pleased to find this place. Amazing fish tacos and staff that speak great English as well as great service. Will be returning for sure.

The restaurant's setting was relaxing and peaceful. The tables sit right by the beautiful pool at Hotel Tropico and you can hear the waves in the background. The service was fantastic, not just by our server (who made sure we had EVERYTHING and that it was all perfect) but as well as the other servers who casually dropped by to check on us!! The food was awesome, very tasty, and VERY fresh!!!

Decided to head to Tropico Latino earlier than my scheduled massage. Stopped in for a quick lunch and really enjoyed the fish taco - portion was big for $10, my lemonade was delicious. We had drinks after our treatments and enjoyed the sunset ...
