We stayed in Cabin #8, which hotel staff admits is the best one! The porch faces the ocean and gives one an incredible view of the waves. The cabin was basic, but tropical, well maintained and clean. Great vanity and shower. Upon our arrival we were greeted by the monkeys and saw wild horses on the beach twice during our 3 night stay. Ate at least 1 breakfast, 1 lunch and 1 diner at the restaurant and food was good and not too expensive. Their signature cocktail the Tropical Latino was delicious. Service throughout our stay was exceptional. The way they have their furniture and hammocks set up on the beach, gives you lots of options for sun or shade. Although I did not participate in Yoga, I chatted with the instructor who really stressed his classes were for all levels. Lastly, Nadia in the spa was wonderful. Great massage and facial, moderately priced. If you are staying on property, they also give a 15% discount. I loved this place, but it isn't fancy, what it offers is a well maintained, tropical atmosphere with a fabulous staff who goes out of the way for their customers.

The hotel is one of the few ideally located on the beachfront there.
However it apparently lacks maintenance.
Some rooms are huge and comfy all wood decorated but the outdated bathroom was disappointing with all the plumbery falling apart and no hot water in ours !
Too bad our A/C was so noisy we couldn't sleep to the sound of waves crashing just in front.
Our view from a sea-view room was blocked by vegetation.
Once top notch the hotel seems in bad need of gardeners, handymen and you're even greet with a sceptic tank overflow on your way to the room..
Beach could use a cleaning or two.
Staff however is nice but such a pity to let a nice place like that go down.

From the moment we walked into the front gate, we knew we would love this place! The landscaping is gorgeous and well kept. We had a beach front suite and we loved spending time on our little front porch, although it could have used a ceiling fan. It was so fantastic being right there on one of the most beautiful and clean sections of the beach. We felt very secure as there was always a security guard at the gate from the beach. The yoga studio has the most beautiful view of the ocean and the instructor, Daniel was fantastic! The bed was not very comfortable, but I think this is just how it is in Costa Rica. This was the 4th place we stayed during our trip and they were all the same. We only ate at the restaurant once and it was delicious! We will be back!

The hotel is in a great location - on a great part of the beach and close to great eats. The staff are absolutely outstanding - warm and helpful. The yoga space is open, earthy and amazing. The hotel grounds are very earthy and lovely. The rooms are very basic and the beds not especially comfortable. Unfortunately the restaurant is not open all the time, the food is not very fresh and the chef allows no flexibility.

I visited this property during my trip for a yoga class. The property is so clean and amazing. The yoga studio is ocean front and the instructor was awesome. It is definitely worth a visit even if you stay someplace else.

The beach house worked out great for the 12 in our group. We had an excellent location right on the beach, our own pool, great services in the hotel next door, and great staff support all around. The only real glitches in our trip were the rain (a gutter broke during a torrential rain and almost flooded the upstairs until we fixed it) and the refrigerator kept going out but the hotel adjusted our bill to help make up for this. Overall, this was a great experience.
