“Amazing food, service & scenery”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 6 October 2013

We were recommended this spot by a couple we met.
Straight away we were impressed by the great view and the design of the restaurants.
When a passing shower came it was cool to sit and watch the lightening show over the water
mans then take a walk down the beach in the tide pools with a wine.
The service and food were top notch, they told us they recently moved here from Europe which shows in their relaxed friendly feel while still holding high level of service you and attention to detail you expect to find in Europe - nice mix.
The view, the service and the food - I'd go again for sure.

“Love this place”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 3 October 2013

Recommended by Freddy who works in the supermarket across the road from Hotel Tropico Latino. He called Ramone and Vanessa and organised it so that we could go early to watch the sunset while eating dinner. The weather didn't comply but the service and food more than made up for it. Fantastic food and great sangria. We plan to go back tonight!

“Simply delicious!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 29 August 2013

As soon as I arrived at Restaurante Tapas I was made to feel very welcome and relaxed....the ambience is wonderful. My friends and I started with a glass of Spanish wine at the bar and were offered a delicious plate of montaditos by our hosts Vanessa & Ramon. Once seated at our table overlooking the beach, we enjoyed traditional Catalan tapas freshly prepared for us by Ramon who has worked in some of the best restaurants in Barcelona. The ingredients used were so fresh and the combination of flavours was wonderful....I highly recommend the handmade chicken croquettes, tortilla & patatas bravas. Our next course was baked Snapper cooked with potatoes, onion garlic and parsley followed by Catalan cream with cinnamon and caramelized pineapple. I will definitely be returning very soon not just to try more delicious food and excellent service but also to enjoy the company of Vanessa and Ramon who are great hosts. Thank you both for bringing a small piece of Catalonia to Costa Rica!
