“Relaxing stop”
Reviewed 13 June 2013

Only complaint, did not care for the coffee.
Service was good.
We both ordered chicken dishes, both had amazing, delicious sauces on them.
My side of yuca was fantastic, better than expected.
First chance at viewing a toucan...ok, he was in a cage...but he was BEAUTIFUL...now, their goats were sad and sickly :( there are a few other animals so the kids will be entertained. The food does not come out fast but it is well worth the wait. Not expensive but a bit more costly than we expected it to be.

“Best food at our best restaurant stop in Panama!”
Reviewed 31 March 2013 via mobile

This beautiful old-style Panamanian restaurant was recommended to us and we did not regret one thing about making the effort to find it. The fish soup (huge bowl, $5) and the Sea bass with mushrooms and shrimp in foil were absolutely scrumptious, So was the Parmesan salad. The turtles in the interior's pond and the bamboo in the ceiling were all extra touches to this beautiful dining experience. Highly recommended.

“Slow service, average food.”
Reviewed 14 March 2013

We wanted to try a restaurant that is advertised as "Panamanian" and this looked like that place. Possibly we should not have gone on a sunday night as we were the only customers for the first 30 minutes. This was about 7 PM. The wait person was also the hotel check-in person and actually appeared to be working the kitchen as well. Another person came in to ask a question regarding the hotel and stood waiting at the desk for a long time. finally 4 other people came, who were also hotel guests, and were seated for dinner. The big sign by their table "Prohibido Fumar" must have been meaningless because two of these quests starting smoking immediately. And yes they spoke spanish and would understand the sign. No one asked them to stop either. Finally when our food arrived it was very average. We regretted spending our last night in El Valle in this restaurant. Hopefully other nights are better.

“reliable lunch”
Reviewed 2 March 2013

i have eaten here twice. it is a good place to dine with family. there is a pond with fish and turtles and a park-like area with a goat and birds adjacent to walk with children while the other adults finish eating in the patio restaurant. food is reliable, good and reasonable price.
you may have to park at the side of the road since there are only a couple parking places. there are also rooms to rent here, but i have never stayed.

“Great food with great ambience”
Reviewed 30 January 2013

Beautiful open air restaurant within the small hotel. Had a pond with turtles and koi running through it. Beautiful vegetation as well. Very fresh and huge langosto ampanada, great rolls, cervezas frias and accommodating service. Would definitely go back if in the area.
