“It's ok”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 22 July 2014

We have eaten at Rincon twice in the last month. The grounds are pleasant.
The staff is acceptable.
There are ponds inside the restaurant with Koi and turtles.
The food is not good, though the fried ceviche is interesting.
It is extremely warm inside the restaurant, and if you can find a ceiling fan directly over your table it helps a tad.

“Beautiful Setting”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 1 April 2014

Casa de Lourdes is a beautiful property, and the alfresco dining area is very romantic. The service was excellent and prompt. The menu is kept to several dishes for each course which is nice as I really don't like huge menus with endless choices. Each dish looks tasty and delicious. I was a little disappointed with my main when it had arrived. It was a little bland, corvina encrusted in cashew on dauphinoise potato. I think it would have benefited from having a green side like beans or spinach rather than the potato. The dauphinoise did not have much seasoning and with the simply prepared fish, it rather let the dish down. However other dishes on the table looked excellent and everyone enjoyed their meal in our group.

“Seen better days”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 30 March 2014

We were the only guests on this weekday evening. The typical Panama food is better at many small restaurants.

Only cool thing was the large frogs in the ponds out front which we hadn't heard in other spots in our travels.

“Best Ceviche in El Valle,Panama”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 14 March 2014

A real find off the beaten path. We didn't stay at the hotel, but had a great meal at the restaurant. The indoor restaurant has a beautiful koi pool with turtles right next to many of the dining room table. The ceviche, hojaldres, and platanos maduros were great. Reasonable prices.

“Terrible meal”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 16 February 2014

We walked into the Rincon Vallero with some apprehension. It had a gloomy feeling and was nearly empty. We had a hard time finding any staff. I foolishly ordered the seafood pasta. The seafood had a very strong odor as if it had been sitting around for too long. I debated whether I should eat it, but hunger got the best of me. Fortunately, I had no consequences late in the night. A friend ordered a "crab" dish that was made of some anonymous, artificial crab substitute.
