Coffee drinks are good and there is a cute garden to sit and sip. Skip the food, it's not very good. Order at counter and be prepared to wait!

In the Lonely planet it says, that they have 'batidos' and smoothies as well, but that part of the shop/different shop? was closed when we were there... We don't know what their opening hours are (or did they close?).
The coffee shop had cold drinks in a fridge and they sell some nice gourmet cheese and stuff like that. I just wish they had some fresh juices and some sandwiches as well.

After being in the countryside for four days, this place was a nice reminder of a coffee shop in the developed world. Staff was friendly but not quick and the coffee, tea, yogurt drinks, muffins and dumplings that we got were OK. Outdoor seating was behind the store away from the road and was nice.

Passed by for having some coffee. About the coffee itself, there's nothing to complain about. Is the place gourmet? Not at all! Why?

1. it's self service. Don't expect anyone to walk at your table to take the order. You will wait endless to get served.

2. they serve cakes, what actually is a good idea. But once you can see and taste, you've got an industrial - shelf stable - bakery product, you really start doubting about the gourmet aproach...

3. Your cake and coffee will be handed over in plastic cutlery. Up to you to walk over to your table as many times as you wish. There'll be no one giving you a hand.

4. I was sold an ice cream which was fully shrunk and completely covered with ice crystals. I had the impression, my claim was taken serious and received another one for free. But the other one was only sligtly better. I wonder how many of their ice creams I would have needed to tatse until a got one in good

The problem with this place is unfortunately the attitude of the staff, so the owner has to be blamed for lack of training or care, the women do not know more than what they do, and that is barely enough....but, there are not very many places to have a decent cup of coffee, and Panama has excellent coffee, at least the surroundings are very pleasant and fresh.
