“Les Miserables.”
Reviewed 30 July 2012

Victor Hugo wrote his famous novel while staying in Montreuil and every year, the inhabitants stage a spectacular version of the novel. This was the 3rd time that I have been to see it and I would happily go every year.I can't imagine how much work goes into the production but it is well worth it and I can't praise it enough. There were some more spectacular light displays added this year and they were wonderful.
It starts about 10.30pm(10.45 this year) and absolute silence falls when it starts. The horses are amazing and the cast is made up of all ages. The weather was very unsettled but the rain managed to hold off! A lot of people came prepared with cushions, blankets, scarves and gloves.
The cast should all be proud of themselves and I can't wait to see it again.

“Interesting place to visit”

Whilst I was walking around Montreuil sur Mer, I found the Citadel. It cost around 4 euros to enter which I felt was quite reasonable as it enable us to see inside the fortifications, and learn about the Citadel and explore what it was like. You are given a little leaflet that explains about the Citadel and about each part of it, which was very handy to have as a guide. The rampart walk also give you good views of the area and the views where stunning. :) I did enjoy visiting this and you could imagine what it was like back than :)
