“The most amazing summer holiday”
Reviewed 30 August 2016 for a stay in August 2016

Chanel is a stunning place to have a holiday. It is beautiful, on a clear day you can see Mt Blanc to the south and Lake Geneva to the north. It is situated right next to Switzerland and has a lot of the same character of the Swiss charming chalets.
There is so much to do - cable cars up mountains (get the daily multi-pass), swimming pools, walks, mountains bikes, lakes, walks...)
Lake Geneva is less than an hour away and there is a stunning sandy beach which children (and adults) love.
I could not recommend this place enough. In fact having brought my family here this year we have booked again next year to bring the other half of our family.
The accommodation is first class. The best holiday home we have ever been to. The welcome on arrival was exceptional and the communication and help where needed throughout our two week stay was just superb.

“Another fab holiday”
Reviewed 9 August 2016 for a stay in July 2016

3rd year with Alpine Quests but 1st year in Les Frangins and we loved it. Great location central for all amenities and bus routes. Lovely spacious chalet with plenty of outdoor space and very well equipped. We had great weather and were glad of the sun canopy and loungers.
Just across the grass from the village pool complex, this was a big hit with the children and even better as free with the multipass.
We found eating out quite expensive however the kitchen is very well equipped and the supermarket well stocked so we chose to eat in most evenings. Lovely restaurants up in the mountains for lunch which was just so relaxing.

“Celebrated 50th birthdays in style! :-)”
Reviewed 27 June 2016 for a stay in June 2016

A group of 14 ladies stayed from Thursday - Sunday to celebrate two 50th birthday parties. We all loved it, even though the weather was not on our side! The hosts bent over backwards to make our stay a memorable one - highlights of our trip - white water rafting, fantasticable, swimming in Lake Geneva, visit to Yvoire, great chalet, lovely hot tub. The chalet was fully catered and boasted a real fire (yes we used it in June!!) The food was basic but good and plentiful. We'd definitely recommend a stay here, we all loved it! :-)

“Friendly, efficient and clean”
Reviewed 23 June 2016 for a stay in February 2016

Have stayed at this chalet two years running. Very clean. Friendly staff. Very informative staff. Glen and Frances very helpful, will even take you on an orientation run. Beautiful area, lots of ski runs for both beginners and experienced skiers. Would thoroughly recommend this holiday and would stay here again.

“Fantastic Holiday from Start to Finish”
Reviewed 14 March 2016 for a stay in February 2016

Stayed at Chalet Les Frangins for a week in Feb 2016 with my husband, 2 children and another family. We were collected from the airport by Bruce , who was a great character and was fantastic with the kids. He picked us up every morning and took us to our lessons and would pick us up at the end of the day at a pre arranged time. A few days we had a tired kid who wanted to leave early and nothing was too much trouble- we were never waiting long.

Chalet itself was lovely. Really clean and spacious- very warm and cosy too. Bedrooms were well appointed even had adaptors with UK plugs. Paul and Anna our hosts were great. Nothing was too much trouble- especially for the picky eaters and kids in the family. Loads of good wine with Dinner.

Hot tub and games room came in useful as did the TV and DVD player.

Thanks to Glenn and Francis the owners who helped us with recommendations for lessons, ski hire, passes etc. Couldn't recommend this chalet highly enough- we would definitely look at going back- if they will have us!!

“Great people, in a great chalet serving great food and providing a great service!”
Reviewed 8 March 2016 for a stay in February 2016

A group of 11 of us stayed as Les Frangins and as our first chalet experience as a group it was superb. Right from the start of the booking process through to the departure at Geneva (more on that later) Glen and Frances (Alpine Quests owners) were so helpful and flexible to our requirements.

That chalet itself has a great feel to it with plenty of space to spread out between different areas (Lounge, TV area, games room, terrace etc). Bedrooms were well appointed and spotlessly clean every day. The views both up and down the valley from the balconies provided a motivating start to every day.

As we were not there a full week (due to our own travel constraints) we were delighted to be offered catered basis for every day of our stay and apart from the occasional tripn to local pubs (Lion D’or and L’avalanche 5-6 minute walk) we had no need to leave the comfort of the chalet.

The ski area of PDS is well known so I will not review that here but our ski experience was only added to by the service provided by Glen, Frances and Bruce – each morning straight after breakfast we loaded up in to the minibus and were taken to the starting point of our choice by Bruce and/or Glen and picked up whenever and wherever our legs failed for the day (hot-tub and sauna well used to revive tired legs). I can’t continue without a big shout to Bruce for guiding us round the mountains on more than one occasion and supporting one of our group in particular in the early days of re-finding his ski-legs. It’s the people who make a holiday and Bruce was one of those people who really made a difference to our trip so – thanks Bruce...whoever you are ;-)

We have to give extra thanks to Glen and Frances after one of our party lost a jacket and only realised it contained his passport when we were well on the way back to Geneva airport. The jacket and passport were found, calls were made and minibuses waited half-way down valleys whilst Frances caught-up with the offending item in hand to avoid a costly trip to the embassy for emergency travel documents….thanks for everything on that one.

I have saved the best for last – Paul and Anna were our hosts for the week and we cannot thank them enough. Firstly the food was outstanding, good quality restaurant standard every day and tasty treats when we got back from the slopes each day. Aside from the excellent food Paul and Anna really made us feel relaxed and at home whilst being extremely patient with our every changing requirements!

Great people, in a great chalet serving great food and providing a great service! Thanks to Glen, Frances, Bruce, Paul and Anna for a great trip!

“Welcoming and comfortable with great food!”
Reviewed 30 December 2015 for a stay in December 2015

This is the second time I have been to the chalet, it is simply a home from home experience with better food!. They always have excellent staff who not only make you feel welcome but are also knowledgeable about the area, as is Glen and Frances. I will be going back again with out doubt with friends and family.
