We spent just under a week in the New Year at this apartment with our two children (ages 8 and 5). It was great value for money, well equipped and thought out with a good sized bedroom and bathroom with an actual bath! The kids slept in the bedroom and we made up the sofabed in the living room every night, which wasn't a major hassle, and was really very comfortable (I often struggle with beds away from home). We tended to eat lunch on the slopes and have dinner in the flat every night and this worked well - there is a large supermarket on the edge of Chatel for everything we needed. A car is fairly important (there is a dedicated parking space), especially with small children, but its very very easy to get the bus to the centre of Chatel or to the Linga and Pre-la-Joux lift, with a bus stop on the road outside. The ski hire place is walking distance and they are all English or English speaking and very helpful. I would imagine this is a lovely place to be in the summer too.
