Great location! It's near to the shops, restaurants and taxi or bus stops but, in the same way, in a quite zone.
And, very important if you rent a car, there is a free parking nearby.
The apartment was clean. The bedroom was not huge but you have sufficient space for staying.
Free wifi at the apartment.
Maria is really friendly.
I suggest it!

Great location, near to the shops, tavernas and taxi or bus stops, but at the same time quiet and relaxing atmosphere. A hotel where you do feel really welcome, a taste of genuine Greek Filoxenia. Maria and her husband are great hosts and are always ready to atend to every need of their guests.

The hotel is clean, well looked after and the staff is friendly. Big rooms and nice kitchen. Wi-fi worked great, so did the the air conditioner and the satelite TV.The balcony was a great place to sit and enjoy my breakfast every morning while looking out towards the sea :-)

I do recommend it, you won't regret staying at Maria Suites!

Room tip: The top floor offers a very beautiful view

We stayed here for two weeks in August 2013 and found this to be one of the best places that we have visited in Greece. The owners' Maria and her Doctor husband are truly two exceptionally generous and most genuine humans whom we have had the pleasure of meeting. They will provide you with support and assistance that has not been matched anywhere else on our travels, and we have travelled quite extensively.

The hotel room sizes are average but you have sufficient space for a comfortable stay. The apartments are cleaned every day making them spotlessly clean, linen is changed every second day and you have sufficient utensils etc although Maria will provide you with any extras that may be needed. The pool is of a good size and kept very clean with plenty of sunbeds.

The location is perfect because it is a 5 minute walk away from the tourist hotspot on the main road but yet far enough to be away from any noise. There are also a lot of decent restaurants situated near the hotel.

We had a 6 year old child with us who enoyed the swimming pool, the free wifi, and the many other activities and attractions in and around the area. It was a pleasure staying at this hotel and we hope to visit again sometime in the future.

Maria and Doctor, a big thank you for your wonderful hospitality and for all your caring and kindness!!

Room tip: Each apartment has 2 balconies, one at the front and one at the back or side. We stayed in apartment 12 which has a very god view of the area including the mountains and the sea.

Platanias is a very nice place, there are many restaurants and tawerns, shops and Maria Suites is a perfect place to stay in Platanias. Located few steps from the main street when the nightlife is but you will not hear any noise. Rooms are spacious and very clean (towels are changed every day), big swimming pool and palms all around it are awesome. The owners are very kind and helpful (and always smiling:)). We had a room on the first floor with two balconys. AC was working, the kitchen was good equipped. We enjoyed the stay in Maria Suites. This is our the last day having enjoyed a wonderful week at Maria Suites in Platanias Crete. The room is kept very clean with towels and sheets changed regularly. The pool is of a good size and also kept very clean and there are plenty of sun beds. I would say that the cooking facilities, one large and one small hob is fine for preparing breakfast but it is adventurous to try and cook on this for the evening meal.

The apartments are very well situated in a quiet area and its only a two minutes walk down the hill to the main centre where you will find restaurants, bars taxis and shops and the local bus stop. It's only a 20 minutes ride, for 2 euros to Chania on the bus and they come every 15 minutes. If you walk from the apartment up the hill you will come to many restaurants further up. We had a meal at the Cosmos restaurant as this was the highest restaurant in Platanias and really stunning views for photographs and pictures of the sunset.

Overall I am really pleased with our stay at Maria Suites. The staff are very warm and friendly and its very good value for money. I would not hesitate to book here again.
