“Nice hotel”
Reviewed 25 June 2014

Big hotel with nice rooms. Stayed in a room with a private pool. Good breakfast. Some issue with the staff, some very friendly and others not so friendly. Tried the Spa which was ok. The other guests at the hotel was very nice and it is a good place to relax. If you want warmth and hospitality this is not the place.

Room Tip: 734 is a nice room

This is he second time we have stayed in this hotel complex and highly recommend. There are two parts to this large complex joined by a walkway over the road to the beach. It has two pools and several bars and 3 restaurants, all serving food to high standard. Service is good and they give a great welcome. We found it very relaxing during he 14 days we were there.

Room Tip: Mountain view rooms look good value but not ground floor ones which are overlooked from service road...

We enjoyed the hotel - good all round. We stayed in a room with sea view by the beach and it was spacious and modern, though note that it is north facing and hence the balcony was without sun. Breakfast was good and the room service was decent quality too (we were travelling with young toddler so it was handy to eat in a couple of nights). Local restaurants are plentiful and the resort is nice enough. Note the sea shelves very quickly so not ideal for young children (or even older ones to be fair).

We had a stunning room with our own swimming pool. Rooms are very spacious, shower just a bit on the small side . Staff very friendly . Breakfast very good and there is a big variety to choose from . Indoor swimming pool at spa but water not very warm . Thought paying 10 £ per person to make use of jacuzzi a bit expensive . Really enjoyed our stay there .

From our initial arrival, to the friendliness of all staff encountered, particularly at reception, the cleaning staff, in the restuarant (Katerina, Maria and Elisabeth) and lovely lady in the mini market you knew you were in excellent hands and could relax! The hotel was just lovely (excellent standard) the food was absolutely delicious with great choice for everyone, I put on over half a stone in a week just about says it all! The wine list was exquisite with local island and grecian wines which the staff had tasted and I concurred with their recommendations, most had been awarded gold medals for! As a lover of fine wines I instinctively gravitated to them........ I really enjoyed the international duo on our first night, along with the zumba and yoga class. The Cretan evening and Greek nights made a welcome change. The Jazz pianist was a class act.... just wished we had booked for a fortnight! Thanks also go to our Thomson rep Sue, a real sweetie, being independant we sussed out the public transport system on day one! Nice to know that back up was available if needed. Well done to everyone, a top class hotel with great ambiance for the size..... would definately recommend to others.

My top tip try to speak a little of the language, my basic greek was well received and enhanced by staff on a daily basis with much hilarity when I got it slightly wrong (portacalli = orange not portacalis!! we dont even go there) I even received a small gift from a staff member for my efforts. Would also consider going back next year, if not sooner! Thankyou for a wonderful experience.

Room Tip: We had a mountain view room, you need that telescope to see them! But the room was lovely and quiet...

Had a great time with delicious food (the breakfast buffet was immense!) and great beach access. The staff were fabulous...especially Katerina who helped me with all sorts of things to do and restaurant recommendations. Would go back in a heartbeat.

Room Tip: Your room will either be facing the mountains or the beach...both are fab.

This was my first holiday in years and mine and my partners 10year anniversary as well as our first proper summer holiday alone, so as you can imagine, I wanted everything to be perfect!! I would say everything was apart from the weather! Which the hotel could do nothing about! From the moment we arrived we had a very warm welcome and the hotel staff knew exactly who we were which I thought was lovely, our room was fantastic, very clean, very big and English films on the tv all the time for when the weather was really bad! Great balcony also. We loved the fact that there were two totally different areas to mix it up a bit, one more chilled and modern in the new building and then the other pool area which was more colourful and great for kids. Although weather wasn't great it was nice and peaceful and not too busy at this time of year. Food at the buffet was great and we ate out as well which was also really good. We would really like to mention Costos (Constantine) our waiter in the restaurant at breakfast and dinner for making us feel so welcome and at home, and giving us exceptional service. Beach area was also really lovely and again nice to have options with having lots of grassy areas as well. Amazing cocktails would strongly recommend the mango daiquiri! We used the spa as well which was great, had a couples massage and booked out the sauna steam room, nice that they ensure it is not too busy when you want to use, we also had the indoor pool to ourselves most the time! It is 5 min walk to restaurants and shops and also lidel if your doing self catering. Really beautiful hotel and even better service. Would 100% go back and recommend to friends and family.

Room Tip: We stayed in the original building with mountain and sea view which we were more than happy with, th...
