The service at this hotel was outstanding. Stayed together with 18 persons to celebrate a wedding. The staff did more than could be expected for us to feel welcome. The hotel got a small bar that only serves local food and beverage. That bar is staffed with the most friendly guy that rely know how to give you the right introduction to Greek traditions.
Eat your breakfast at the restaurant by the sea…nice way to wake up!

Just returned from a week's holiday in June at the Minoa Palace it is a wonderful hotel. The credit goes to the staff and the chef and his team. The hotel is so clean with beautiful gardens and pool areas. Our room was facing the mountain and gardens and was kept really clean. The weather was perfect and the food was delicious everyday there was so much choice.Thanking all the staff of Minoa for making our stay special especially the chef.We will recommend this hotel to our friends and family and will return soon.

Room Tip: Mountain and garden rooms are perfect.

Stayed at the Minoa Palace in June 2013 for 10 nights. Prior to arrival we had emailed asking if they could give us a quiet room. On arrival we were allocated a mountain view room which we had paid for. Upon entering the room we found our room overlooking the refuse bins and bottle banks. We returned to reception to ask to change to another room but were told none were available and nobody had complained about the room being noisy before. Next morning we were awoken by the emptying of the bottle bank and refuse bins. We returned to reception and were eventually given a quiet room the next day. This room was very good.
The buffet style breakfast and dinner was good but not quiet 5 star standards. The a la carte menu we did not try as the menu was limited and was only changed weekly.
The pool and grounds of the main hotel was excellent with a good number of sunbeds. Watch out for the sunbed police as we got caught leaving our sunbeds to go to the restaurant. We came back to find all our personal belongings had been removed whilst we were eating. Also be careful of the wooden sunbeds, we had to assist a man whose fingers were crushed by the back rest of the bed falling down with a scissor action on his fingers. Luckily with the attention of the hotel first aider and the local doctors which is 100 metres down the road they were diagnosed as badly bruised not broken.
All inclusive is available but only to certain guests, we as Thomson guests were not offered it.
We stayed in the original part of the hotel which to us had a lot more atmosphere than the newer Imperial wing over the road.
The hotel is situated at one end of Platanias which has the usual collection of bars, restaurants, supermarkets and gift shops.
Would recommend a day trip to Chania town at some point. It was lovely around the harbour.
So all in all a very good hotel but not quiet 5 star.

We have stayed in this Hotel Resort several times and are going to plan our next years trip already to the Imperial Beach Wing. We had a room with private pool. These rooms have a direct view to beach or alternatively morning sun to your private terrace and pool. Service in this Hotel is exellent, especially huge thanks to guest relations and management. We had good food in the different restaurants and enjoyed very much of greek and international music. The Hotel are is huge so it is not too crowded and there are no lines in bars or restaurants, everything is very well organized. Even the private beach is very clean and service in that area was fuctioning very well. All in all we are very happy and realaxed.

Room Tip: Imperial Beach wing is closer to beach and very nice, some rooms have own private pool. Morning sun better in north west side.
