“Real greek food experience”
Reviewed 23 July 2014 via mobile

Seems like to eat at granmamanopulos kitchen. Cosy and genuine. Nice hosts, give it a try and let your tastes explore greek cuisine under a grape pergola (good in windy days). Enjoy!!

“So good we went back!”
Reviewed 17 July 2014

My mum and I loved Barko so much we went back a second time which we don't like doing because we like to try a different place every night whilst on holiday but Barko was an exception!!

It has a lovely garden setting and great service. We got the chick pea balls greek salad and oven lamb and it was delicious the lamb literally fell off the bone it was so tender and tasty. Would reccomend to everybody staying in Milos, worth the drive if you are not staying in Adamas great for families or couples.

“small gem”
Reviewed 25 June 2014

It's a few minutes walking from the port/center of Adamas, and is in a very pretty garden setting. We were there in the afternoon and were the only ones there. We enjoyed the fish dishes greatly - the swordfish steak was especially good. Like the other reviewers noted, the dishes took a while to be made, but they were delicious in the end, and what's the hurry, anyway? It's a tiny quiet semi-rural island where time runs much more slowly than we're used to. So if you calm down and try to mentally switch to "their time", things start to make more sense. Anyway, the owner was awesome and quite a unique character. I'm sure there are other excellent restaurants on Milos, but we enjoyed this one the most.

“Not satisfied”
Reviewed 20 August 2013

we went there for dinner. the place was full, quite busy at 10.30-11 at night and it took them 30 minutes to order and actually get the first dishes, salad, tzatziki, potatoes (oh wait! they never brought the potatoes because they forgot).

food was just ok. SMALL PORTIONS but I am saying again, IT TOOK THEM AGES TO BRING THE DISHES. price for 2 was around 45euros, NOT A GOOD PRICE FOR WHAT WE GOT. MEDIUM TO TINY PORTIONS.

would NOT reccommended

“Don't bother going there”
Reviewed 14 August 2013

Even though the restaurant is listed in the travel guides it's not worth the effort going there. We got the recommended dishes - the cheese pies where more or less cheese less, the chick pea balls where tasteless, the tuna, which we were told was fresh, was so over cooked and dry that it was impossible to eat (and of course it was not fresh), the swordfish was tasteless - maybe it was fresh but I doubt it...the Greek sals however was fine...the service was horrible - waited 30 min for a beer because they forgot it and even several reminders made it difficult to remember...and the waiters couldn't care less about the customers...so all in all a really bad experience. Try the nice restaurants along the sea...you won't be disappointed
