Exceptional Boutique Hotel, great ratio value for money! the owner has given in reality her soul in order for the visitors to have a great stay! the breakfast is traditional and of excellent quality. the rooms are new with beautiful furnitures. The sea in front of rooms is suitable for swimming! Also, the hotel is near to Adamas port - 7 minutes walking along the sea - which means that you have everything near to you - restaurants, taverns, super markets everything! The cleanness of the rooms is another issue that we should underline due to the fact that take place every day!

I want to say such good things about this place because it has such potential but there are a few snags that need sorting out quickly.
We stayed for five nights in June and really enjoyed Milos. Made all the better by hiring an ATV buggy to explore the whole island.

Villa Zampeta is a strange hybrid that falls between tasteful guest house conversion and the traditional Greek offering of rooms. We had a ground floor seafront room that was spacious, airy and well furnished with repro-period furniture. Our balcony offered views of the bay across the seafront road. A few steps across the road and you could be enjoying the shallow waters of the bay for a cooling dip. It wouldn't be our choice of best beach on Milos but it was very handy with loads of boating colour.

This is a recent conversion of a nice villa-type property. Everything is very new. And that's the problem - some of it remains unfinished. Wall light fittings are yet to be installed. Naked bulbs hang on wires. Our en-suite bathroom was nicely tiled and fitted out, but with an open shower the floor quickly became soaked and slippery. Unfortunately the drain that would take any water away is set too high in the floor. So you end up with very soggy floor mats.

Voula the housekeeper/manager could not have tried harder to please. She met us off the ferry with our lumpy luggage and carried us back at the end of our stay. Every day there were little treats and surprises - fresh figs from the garden, cakes, a bottle of wine. Breakfasts are prepared by her and every day there was something different added to the self-serve buffet. She is like a mother in residence looking after her fledglings.

We took our breakfast on our balcony to make the most of the sun and seafront activity. There is an option to have breakfast at a small patio table in front of the villa. But with only one table as an alternative to eating on your balcony I'm not sure how they will cope with a full house.

The seafront location was ideal for us. Adamas town centre with all its facilities was just a ten minute stroll away, past the fish sellers and the MIning Museum (worth a visit). You have excellent restaurants close by in either direction along the seafront.

Villa Zampeta was the last of our Greek island hopping holiday and we enjoyed our stay (mostly because of Voula's attention). But it was also one of our most expensive bookings and I'm not sure that it worth the price in its current condition. Work in progress needs to be finished.

Room Tip: The upstairs room has a four poster bed if you are into that kind of thing.
