We (an adult family of 4) had the pleasure of staying in a wonderful large apartment with 2 balconies - the sunrise and views of the east side of the island were glorious. The rooms were well equipped, spacious, clean and good value. Demitri was a friendly gentleman and every request was met with a smile. After a long day of exploring the island and beaches, the pool area was a great place to relax and decide which restaurant we'd dine at that evening. It was a short 10-15 minute walk to the main square in Fira, restaurants, clubs, bars and shops. We would definitely stay again.

I came to Santorini with my girlfriend, I can safely say our time hear has been unforgettable. Our view to wake up in morning was spectacular with the sunrise.
In the evening we where only a 10 minute (if that) walk to the sunset side of the island where restrurants are located. We also were very close only a 15 minute walk away into Fira where the bus stops are located and you can pretty much get to any part of the island for a small price.
The rooms were cleaned every day with fresh towels and bed sheets replaced. Demitri was great ,would go out of his way to be helpful and would offer advice on places to visit when first arriving at the apparents.
Erato appartments is a lovely place to have a holiday away, I would come back again !

I've just returned from a week's stay at Erato Apartments with a friend. We had a lovely time. The apartment was really good value, very clean, including the fridge, which is a must for me! The furniture is new, the room was cleaned well each day with fresh towels. The staff are very friendly and helpful, nothing is too much trouble.
To walk into the centre of Fira it only took about around 15 minutes, however, there are two routes, by road, or the scenic route on the coastal path. Both include an incline, but not particularly challenging. You can access the coastal path by taking the path opposite Erato Apartments, through the car park and past the church which takes around 5 minutes - then the views are an absolute delight. There are plenty of tavernas, restaurants and bars on the coastal path where you can take in the breathtaking sunset. That may seem very specific, but it's well worth knowing at the start of your trip so you can avoid walking on the roads.
The hotel helped us to book a cruise for 25 euros each, which comparitively, was good value, we were out on a boat all day around the island.
Overall, this accommodation was good value, very clean with very friendly staff. I would definitely recommend it. I really liked the fact that we were slightly out of all the hussle and bussle of the centre of Fira because it really is quite noisy there.
The only thing I would say, is that if you have difficulty walking or are a wheelchair user, it probably isn't the best location for you- but I am not particularly fit at the moment, and I was absolutely fine.

We particularly liked the very friendly and kind service of all staff. The reception is usually closed from 1:30pm to 6pm, but staff are flexible and always ready to help. We stayed there as a couple and looked for an quiet corner in the main town of Santorini. It's ideally located at the edge of Firostefani with unlimited views over the Aegean sea and the Eastern side of the island. From the hotel, we were just 5 min walk from the start of the scenic route along the caldera of the volcano that leads to the centre of Fira Town.
The hotel breakfast area was very cozy, bright, well set and surrounded by unlimited views over the Aegean sea.
The swimming pool was always quiet, clean and nicely decorated. It had also a small jacuzzi corner under the semi-circular dome to protect from the strong sun of Santorini.
Our room was clean, well equipped and with a comfy balcony overlooking the sea and the sunrise. We particularly like the traditional design of the room's furniture, made of solid wood and all in that picturesque sky blue colour of the Greek islands.
We are thankful to all staff who also helped us with our luggage on the day of our departure (as we needed to store them until our boat was due in the evening).
And all this in a fabulous price of just £50 per night per room.
We will definitely visit Erato again.

Room Tip: Remember to specify early enough if you need a double bed or a twin room, especially during high sea...

My girlfriend and I stayed in the Erato apartments in Santorini for one week.

It was a great experience: the room was nice and clean, by the swimming pool. The small kitchenette was more than enough to prepare simple meals (we would have breakfasts & another meal there to limit our expenses outside), the fridge was good and rather large! I'm rating the room as very good instead of excellent because the bathroom could have been a bit larger, but still it wasn't a big issue.

The apartments are close to Firostefani: less than 10 minutes walk and you are already in the village, where you can find shops, restaurants, markets... There are also bus stops there, so you can take a bus to Oia or Fira (although the walk to Fira is about twenty minutea and definitely recommend!)

The staff at Erato was friendly and helped us book a boat trip and rent our ATV. While you can do that on your own, having them taking care is also nice.

I really recommend Erato, and we would stay there again if we go back to Santorini.

My wife and I stayed here for seven nights for our honeymoon and specifically requested a room with sea view when we booked through lastminute. We arrived on a late flight and made our way to Erato where the night porter led us to a room without sea view, which was disappointing. The next morning we spoked to the front of house, Dimitris, who very kindly moved us to sea view room when one became available that morning!

All rooms have a balcony on upper floors/ patio on ground floor. The sea view is not of the Caldera sunset view, in fact they face east side of the island toward the fields, vineyards and the airport. You get the view of the sea and the islands at a fair distance. The room and bathroom are very clean, tidied and towels get changed every day. The water from the shower is hot in the evening but is lukewarm in the morning. Although the breakfast was the same everyday, it was better than many continental breakfast elsewhere. The breakfast consisted of ham and cheese toasties, melba toast, greek yoghurt, orange squash, tea/coffee and a variety of condiments (honey, butter and jams). You could have a choice of having the breakfast in the breakfast room or in your own balcony.

Our room had a small kitchenette with utensils and a fridge which was handy to keep our purchased Santorinian products and drinks chilled. The air-conditioning was sufficient to keep our room nice and cool. Unfortunately we did not have a double bed and we had to put the twin beds together every night. There are only 5 double beds in the whole property, make sure you request a double bed before booking if that is essential for you!

There is a outdoor swimming pool, clean and surprisingly deep at one end, and has a very powerful jacuzzi at the other end. It does not get too busy. We cannot comment on the sauna as we did not use it and it entailed an extra charge.

The apartments is located on one way road and can be busy in the morning. It was only 5 minutes drive away from Fira and 15-20 minutes from Oia. The nearby villages of Firostefani and Imerovigli are definitely worth exploring as they are both very scenic and have very good restaurants with Caldera view.

A special thank you to Dimitris, who have been very accommodating and extremely helpful and understanding when we had to deal with our delayed luggage! The housekeeping staff are friendly, efficient and polite and this accommodation is child-friendly. Overall, we had a positive experience and memories with staying at Erato Apartments and Santorini, and we would recommend the Erato to our friends and family!

Room Tip: Request a sea-view room. Limited number of rooms with Double beds.
