In short: great, friendly and helpful staff, from the people at the reception to the cleaning ladies, fabulous location and view from the hotel! I'm already planning my next trip back to Santorini and definitely staying at Villa Ilias!

Amazing views from this great location. We really enjoyed relaxing by the pool. 15min walk to Fira. The staff were all excellent and gave useful recommendations. They booked transfers, boat tour and hire car for us very efficiently. The bathroom is small and awkward but the room was otherwise very adequate.

This is a small hotel (less than 15 rooms I think) with excellent caldera view from the pool area and some of the rooms. We lived at a room adjacent to the pool, our balcony was just a few stairs right up from the pool area. Superb view from our balcony and even the bed in the room. The poo l area has too few sunbeds for when the hotel has many guests. Only five when we were there so it felt crammed and people were "fighting" for sunbeds. The room standard was great and the decoration and craftsmanship was superior compared to greek standard. Comfortable bed, and the electricity works without any key-holder. The staff is really excellent and you feel taken care of in an exlusive kind of way (if you know what I mean). Especially Mary was really professional! We have also stayed in Fira earlier and enjoyed the walking distance to Firostefani were this hotel is were it is a bit calmer. If you ask for transfer ask for Georgos who was a driver we got to know on a few trips, really a decent guy. The breakfast was good but not more and lacked a variety of fresh fruits (and croissants which I like).

Room Tip: Definately choose one with caldera view, and not a room at bottom floor at pool with door facing poo...

My family and I went to Santorini for a week and we stayed at Villa Ilias. We stayed at the cave house for five people. From the reception to the cave house it takes about 3 min to walk and the view is breathtaking. You have breakfast right next to the reception. I could even say the breakfast was one of the highlights of each day. Right next to the reception theres the hotel with the rooms and the pool. The view from the pool area is amazing. They also have sunbeds and chairs next to the pool if you want to relax. The staff is extremely nice and helpfull and know alot about the island and what to do. If you want to rent a car I woulf suggest to ask George. Villa Ilias works with Tony's car rental, which I highly recommend. Over all I dont think you could find a better hotel in Santorini.

We booked to stay at Villa Ilias along with 4 other members of our wedding party. Even though we were not getting married there, it had been made special for us by being given the rooftop room with amazing panoramic views of the island and champagne on arrival. The room was TINY however and it was quite difficult getting ready for the wedding with my bridesmaids and the photographer and make up artist there! The views made up for it though, and we will definitely be back to stay in that room for our anniversaries!

The staff and the placement of the hotel is fantastic, but there was a small problem with our toilet/bathroom, it seemed that mold had set in on the wall.
The pool area was small and the sunchairs few, but what an view from the pool area, totally worth it.

I visited Santorini for the first time with my family. We couldn't find better place to stay, amazing location, comfortable cave house equipped with everything needed to make our stay wonderful. The Hotel staff excellent! helped us with everything we needed, from renting the car to the attractions. The cleaning staff, impeccable. The breakfast .... delicious!
I will not doubt any minute to return to Santorini and recommend this hotel. Our staying in Santorini has been wonderful, thanks Villa Ilias!
