“so much potential....”

The view and location is spectacular. The waiter/maitre de was very friendly and accomodating.
The food was average at best --- certainly not what we expected.

We had crepes and ice coffee --- the crepes and ingredients were sub par.

“Great views but cash only.”
Reviewed 12 May 2014

Certainly, the view is one of best on Santorini, and that does pack a lot of weight if you are wanting to watch the sunset....which we were. The service was excellent and the waiter who served us was very kind and friendly. The only thing that let it down was the standard of the food, which was OK,but certainly nothing special. We had the fried Saganaki, which was excellent, and then a spaghetti Bolognaise, with perfect pasta, but very light on for the sauce. The real letdown was the Calamari, which was just not up to the normal Greek standard. The batter was flakey and the strips of calamari were very thin and overpowered by the taste of the batter. We also ordered two crepes...one was perfect, the other a bit overcooked. I was also somewhat surprised that they did not accept credit cards...cash only.
I really wanted to rate this higher because of the fantastci view and the friendliness of the waiter, who also gave us a complimentary Ouzo at the end of the meal. But,ultimately, a restaurant is about the food. It would not take a lot of effort to push this cafe into a lot higher category.

“Great view and service with average food”
Reviewed 16 October 2013

The view from this restarant was amazing! One of the best views I have had while eating. The server was friendly and very talkative. It was great to have a server so nice, he even knew about the city I was from! The food was average, and I was suprised that they didnt have any taziki sauce to go with the calamari!

Only got drinks here, which were not very good. Server was a little odd, made some rude comments. Amazing view.

“Amazing view but do take cash.”
Reviewed 30 September 2013

After wandering around looking for a place to have a glass of wine and a good view of the sunset we were really pleased to find this gem with it's unobstructed view and the very friendly waiter. (Some of the other restaurants that we visited could do well to take a lesson in customer service from this man!) The sunset was stunning, as expected, but the wine was not cheap, although the glasses were large and quite full. It was a nice touch that the waiter offered to take photos of every couple who was there enjoying the sunset. The thing that soured our time here a little, was the fact that they didn't accept credit cards. We don't like to carry much cash around when dining out at night and if a restaurant only accepts cash then they should have clear signage explaining this to save embarrassment at the time of payment. (We had to get cash from the money machine which was a fair walk away and I had to leave my driver's licence with them while I went for the money).
