My family and I had a wonderful stay. It was peaceful and simply stunning. Staff were lovely. Free WIFI in office. Pool was divine. Not too many steps. A stunning walk into Fira. Car hire available behind hotel on main road. Rooms were clean and breakfast abundant. Will always return to Homeric Poems . Expensive....but the only choice for me.

Room Tip: Andromachi has 1 bedroom upstairs in loft and two sleep areas downstairs in loungeroom...great if yo...

My wife and I stayed at the wonderful Homeric Poems for 4 nights early August 2013.
What a fantastic place!!
The location, views, quality of rooms and delightful staff left us with one mission in mind.....We'll be back!!!
Rossella and ALL the staff we encountered were nothing short of outstanding. Respectful, helpful and wonderfully pleasant to the enth degree.
The location, views etc were great however what made our stay even more memorable was the warmth and embracing manner the staff accepted and treated us.
Well done Rossella and team.....we will never forget our Homeric Poems Santorini experience.

Room Tip: Look for the rooms with a larger balcony....more room to do a few things.

This is simply the best place to stay in Santorini Island. Oia is overrated and overpriced ! However, Firo Stefani is located centrally on the island , easy to move around, away from the noisy and crowded site of the island (Fira) which is full of cruise passengers. This place is decorated with superb taste ! For living in a fantasy... Great hospitality and friendly service. Very highly recommended ! Will go again and again..

we had a great time at Homeric Poems... There are a plethora of Hotels to stay in Santorini, but the staff at this place made our stay very special.
We had a suite with a swimming pool and I must admit we hardly left it.
We were in Santorini in the height of the summer and our aim was to relax and chill and stay away from the crowds... this is the perfect place for it.

The food is fresh, locally sourced and delicious, the views are fantastic.. the personnel extremely nice and non-intrusive...

all in all a gem...!

Room Tip: we went upmarket... so go for the suites

We stayed at Homeric Poems in the first week of September 2013. This was our second visit. We loved it so much when we visited in September 2012 that we were determined to return. We were slightly apprehensive as our first visit was hard to beat. However we were not disappointed. We were welcomed back warmly and once we sat on our private terrace and took in the breathtaking view, we knew immediately that we had made the right decision. This is not a cheap hotel, but it is worth every penny. Indeed it is almost worth it for the view alone! However it also has a winning combination of beautiful suites, which are simply but expertly furnished with nautical themes, and a small and friendly group of staff who go out of their way to provide exceptional service. It is ideal for couples who want a quiet or romantic location, particularly if celebrating a special occasion. It should be borne in mind, however, that the hotel is on several levels as it is built into the side of the caldera. As a result, it is not particularly suitable for young children or for those who would have difficulty in climbing up the many steps from the rooms or the pool to street level (there are no lifts). The hotel does not have a restaurant but will provide pre-ordered meals directly to guests' rooms or private terraces. Indeed one of the delights of Homeric Poems is to open the door in the morning and see the breakfast table all laid out and that amazing view in the background. This was an experience that will long stay in our memories and I suspect we will go back yet again.

Room Tip: All the rooms have private or semi-private terraces and all of them have wonderful views. The Captai...

I decided to surprise my girlfriend and bring her to Homeric Poems to propose.
I have been to many places around the world but nothing compares to Homeric Poems.
If you want a romantic break with your partner, this is pure bliss. the views cannot be described in words, they are just mind blowing and will stick with us for the rest of our lives.
The hotel is a boutique style and the level of customer service you recieve as a guest is something i have never experienced before. From the guy that picks your suitcases up to the manager Rossella, nothing is to much trouble.
We had the honeymoon suite with a view that I thought only the rich and famous got on there terraces. We were having our breakfast looking down on the many cruise ships below us, they look like toys to give you an idea of how high up you are.
Now I can tell you from first hand that the sunsets that Santorini gets are nothing short of spectacular and really do make you feel quite emotional, the best location on the island is from Firostefani where Homeric poems is, everyone seems to clammer to Oia but I have seen both and Firostefani gets the most spectacular in my opinion.

Rooms:
The rooms are amazing, our Honeymoon suite had a rain shower with a giant window looking out to the ocean, you stand there starkers looking out to the sea but you are so high up noone can see, it is the weirdest and most amazing experience to witness.
Beds are so comfortable, wardrobe and draws etc in an very rustic greek design.

Pool and Bar and food

aaaah the infinity pool, wow you sit in the pool and it looks like its never ending and to top it off you have George the guy that runs your cocktails to you (room or by the pool).
This guy seriously knows how to make a cocktail, they were reasonably priced at 8 Euro and the Pina Coladas and Mojitos were awesome. George you really helped to make our stay special, and a bit drunk but hey your on holiday.
The food that they offer in the hotel is reasonably priced and you get a very generous portion.
We tried the steak, the pork amongst others and it cannot be faulted in anyway.

We fell in love with Santorini and Homeric Poems in particular, we have decided to actually get married in Santorini and I can 100% guarantee that we will be staying in Homeric Poems, it was amazing.
Take my word for it, this place is what dreams are made of, be aware that Santorini does have a lot of steps and this hotel is on the edge of the Caldera so dont be surprised if you have to do a bit of climbing to get to the top of the hote.

My partner and I stayed at Homeric Poems for four nights in early September and absolutely loved the hotel. Prior to arriving in Santorini, we spent a great deal of time deciding which hotel to stay at and we could not have been happier with our choice. First, the location in Firostefani was perfect as it allowed us to take advantage of the night life in Fira (10 minute walk) and dinners in Imerovigli (15 minute walk) as well as Firostefani. Second, the entrance to the hotel off the caldera walk is only for Homeric Poems and there are no hotels below it. Once in Santorini (versus what we could discern online), we realized what a huge difference this makes in terms of privacy and convenience. Many of the hotels we considered existed within a much larger complex of several hotels. So, in order to get to your room, you needed to walk through a number of other establishments. It is quite dramatic to see the hotels clustered on top of one another down the side of the caldera, but it feels a little "tenament" like as you are walking through someone's patio or by their jacuzzi.

Third, the hotel is extremely well designed. While it is located right off the caldera walk, the design of the complex provides a great deal of privacy and people on the walkway are not able to view more than the hotel rooftops and stairway down to the pool area. Our apartment was spacious with a vaulted 13' ceiling in the living/dining area. Our private balcony with views to Imerovigli, Oia, the sea, etc, was just spectacular. The infinity pool and bar area are beautiful and large enough so that several people can be enjoying the area without feeling like your space is being invaded. After the first day, we realized that it was best to explore the island in the early morning (before the cruise ships unload their passengers!), return to the hotel to spend the afternoon at the pool with a nice lunch (the food and drinks are excellent), and the head out again in the evening for dinner, drinks, etc. We loved having drinks and appetizers on our balcony while watching the sunset every night. While everyone raves about going to Oia for the sunset, we didn't feel it was necessary at all...we decided that the folks flocking to Oia for sunsets weren't lucky enough to have the set up we did!

Finally, you could not ask for a more pleasant staff to make your visit feel very special. They did everything they could to ensure that our stay was wonderful and that all of our needs were met. They provided restaurant recommendations, outlined options for day trips, and helped arrange a care rental one day so we could explore some of the beaches. Santorini is one of the most beautiful islands in the world and Homeric Poems is a perfect choice to enjoy it.

Room Tip: Some of the balconies are more private than others. We stayed in Poseidon and thought it was the bes...
