“Perfect! Have Stayed Over 10 Times and Keep Coming Back”
Reviewed 6 July 2013

Hotel is perfectly situated in close proximity to Fira. All rooms and the veranda are set on the rim of the Caldera, where the view is breathtaking. Have seen the sunset from various parts of the island (including the most famous one in Oia) and will attest to this being the best one I've seen to date given the contrast of Thirasia in the backdrop and Imerovigli further up the island.

Nektarios is a most gracious host. Friendly, extremely knowledgeable about the island and will arrange for any sort of day trips, vehicle rentals, or can provide recommendations on the best restaurants and activities on the island.

Every time I plan a return trip to this incredible island, my first call is always to Nektarios to book a room for my stay. Highly recommended!

The view outside your hotel room is divine and has plenty of space. The service was also great - helpful with dinner recommendations, directions to local entertainment, and even recommendations gor other islands. The free breakfast was also fantastic. All in all, though, the reason I will definitely go back to this hotel when I (hopefully) return to Santorini is the deck view - simply stunning and an even better sunset experience than Ei (really).

This place is a jem! The caldera view is amazing... When you sit on that terrace you forget the world! Must love walking if you want to go to the beach, or you can rent a scooter. Nik is a lovely host and will accomodate your requests. Breakfast served when you wake up, at the table outside your room. Very nice...

The location and view of this hotel is awesome. The staff of the hotel made us feel as in home with their warm hospitality. The breakfast is great and the best part is that you enjoy the beautiful view while you are served. We would definately recommend this hotel without any doubt and stay there again if we get a chance to return to the island.

My friends and I visited the Sunset Hotel for 4 days on our first trip to Santorini, Greece in June. We loved every minute! We enjoyed numerous sunsets from the comfort of the jacuzzi. The hotel is also conveniently located near a number of nice restaurants and is only a 5-10 minute walk to city center. We preferred staying higher on the island because it's quieter, more romantic, and stunning views. I'd highly recommend this to all of my friends in the future!

Room Tip: Make sure your room has a patio that faces the sunset. I think all of them do but there may be a fe...

My husband and I have just returned home after staying in this amazing b&b. It was like a home away from home we felt so comfortable while staying here. There is a good balance between staff being helpful and leaving you be to do as you please. It has a very laid back and relaxing atmosphere and with only 9 rooms is quiet and seems more private than larger hotels. Not a lot of steps to have to climb up and down either which is a rarity in Santorini. The outside Jacuzzi is also a bonus as you can just sit back relax and enjoy all of the wonderful views.
The views from here are absolutely amazing and the sunsets breathtaking right from outside of your room. The rooms are comfortable and clean, after being there for a couple of days I was asking the owner Nek about different sorts of rooms they had there and he gave me the keys to a larger room told us to check it out and if we liked it to change to there, which we were so happy about being upgraded without even asking. Nek was only ever too happy to help us with anything we needed and was friendly with a good attitude and provided a lot of useful information about Santorini and Greece in general. Special mention has to go to Maria the breakfast lady/ cleaner she does a great job and I always happy and friendly.
We had an amazing time here and did not want to leave its in a great location and its good to be away from all of the weddings that go on around Firostefani that happen at other hotels in the area. The prices are very, very reasonable for such amazing views of the caldera and we had the best time will definitely return if staying in Santorini cant wait

My husband and I spent 3 nights at this wonderful hotel. The view from the hotel is unbelievable. We were welcomed by the lady at the front desk with 2 glasses of wine, sat on the terrace and enjoyed the beautiful sunset. It was SO peaceful. The breakfast spread was plentiful and included the best greek yogurt I've ever had. The rooms are basic european size (small), but clean. Location is about a 20 minute drive to Oia, and about a 10-15 minute walk to Fira. Loved every second here and would highly recommend. It is truly a special place.
