“Third time to Amelie!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 26 September 2013

Third time back to Amelie, and we always enjoy it! Marios and Vicky work day and night to make their customers stay perfect and are so friendly and helpful. Room was cleaned every day and always had fresh towels and sheets. The location is close to everything (beach, restaurants, shops, bars). If you are visiting Santorini, this is the place to stay! Service is always first class!
Thank you Marios and Vicky! Hope We'll have the pleasure of staying with you again!

Stayed for a week at the Amelie and am already planning to go back next year. Marios and Vicky are wonderful hosts, very helpful in terms of things to do and see. My room was great, big bed, air conditioning and a fridge for snacks and drinks.

The pool area was gorgeous, I actually preferred to suntan there rather than at the beach. No wind blowing sand around! The pool bar was a lot of fun too, especially as I was travelling alone and it was a great way to meet people.

I also found Perissa to be the perfect area to stay, Fira was only a 20 minute bus ride away. Kamari was more crowded and to my mind other fewer things to do. Climbed up to Ancient Thira which was very near to the hotel. Well worth doing.

Thank you Marios and Vicky, see you again soon!

Our start to our stay did not get off to the best start at Amelie, our booked transfer through Amelie never turned up at the Airport. Follow by no power and running water for 3 days. Although the power and water issue was out of Amelie’s control, I feel the staff could have done more (i.e. provided buckets of water to wash with). The main issue was the bed we were sleeping in, had serious roll together and for 5 restless nights we put up with until we requested a change of rooms. This is when it turned ugly, the Amelie’s staff offered a room that was not satifactory. We requested our materess in our current room should change with another room. This was refused and ended in confrontation, we suggested we would leave and find another hotel. This was not an option as Amelie refused to provide any refund on the remaining stay. After countless phone call to bookings.com there no option other than to stay and put up with the bed or lose 510EUR. As Amelie never once inspected the bed to clarify the isue, I took it upon myself to investigate and within seconds of lifting the materess I found the problem. The timber supports had all gone to the foot of the bed, leaving no support in the middle. I fixed this within seconds and the bed was fine, had Amelie inspected the bed in the first place the confrontation and stress to our holiday could have been avoided. I spoke to Amelie and explain the sistuation, they then apologies and kindly gave free trip to the Caldera for the trouble cause. This could have all been avoidable!!!
The hotel itself is nice enough, good pool, OK breastfast (No fruit), good location to the beach and resturants.
Would I stay there again, definitiely not.

Room Tip: Up stairs for the View of the Mountain

We have just returned from a 7 night stay at Hotel Amelie, although the rooms are quite small, and basic the bed was very comfortable & there was as good size fridge in the room. The pool and breakfast area was spotlessly clean. The staff were extremely helpful and they also arranged a hire car for us, which was delivered & collected from the hotel. A very nice place to stay.

My girlfriend and I recently stayed at the Amiellie Hotel and it was lovely. The Owner Marios was brilliant and looked after everything from taking our booking (we emailed directly as it was easier than going through an agent) to making sure we had anything and everything we needed. He even took us to some amazing beaches nearby for lunch.

We would definitely recommend it to all of our friends and have already booked in again for next year.

We loved this hotel. Loved the location only a short walk to the beach and a large selection of bars and restaurants to accomodate every taste. The owners Marios and Vicky worked day and night to make their customers stay perfect and were so friendly and accomodating. Our room was cleaned every day we certainly had no complaints about cleanliness. Perissa is a perfect location to explore the rest of the island, 10 minute walk to the bus stop which is a short ride to beautiful Fira with breathtaking views and endless amounts of shops, jewellery, bars, restaurants and clubs. Or onward to Oia for the sunset or to Athinios port for some island hopping! Amelie Hotel was a great base for us with a lovely breakfast by the pool to set us up for our day exploring, would go back in a heart beat!!

Hotel Amelie is a wonderful little boutique hotel run by a lovely couple Marios & Vicky. Our thanks to them for making our honeymoon so memorable. We really enjoyed the breakfast near the pool and the chilled nights at the pool bar with the nice cocktails with Marios. Our room was cleaned every day and always had fresh towels & sheets. Vicky organised our treatments at the hotel which were much needed after all our wedding preparations. The body massages were very relaxing by the pool and the manicures were excellent. We already are planning our next trip back to sweet Amelie.
