I love this hotel. I have stayed there twice and its great. Clean, comfortable and the staff are very friendly and helpful. The pool and surrounding area are lovely, but who would stay by the pool when the beautiful sea is just up the road. Stunning seascape and hills, the sea is literally silver in the mornings. Love it! Will definitely return again and again.

We visited the Hotel Rena for the second time in August 2012 and this time we took our children (aged 16 to 21) with us. We all had a great holiday. This hotel is tucked away and is so peaceful, yet just minutes walk from the beach and tavernas. We had a friendly welcome and although our rooms weren't huge, they were clean and all we needed. We revisited Cyclades restaurant, God's Garden and Tranquilo and the food was great. We also ate at Waves (which we had not done on our first trip) and enjoyed a couple of great meals there - this restaurant is owned and run by Mario, who runs the Hotel Rena.

All four children could see the attraction of the hotel and all said they would return there themselves. Breakfasts will still as 'simple and basic' as last year, but we made use of the 24 hour bakers (next to the Co-op), so it wasn't a problem. The only thing missing on our visit this year was the noticeable absence of Jacob behind the bar at the Rena, but hopefully he will be back again next year.

This hotel is well worth a visit and very good value for money.

We stayed at the hotel in September 2012 & found it very clean & friendly. The pool & bar area was very nice & the location was excellent - 2 mins walk from beach & main road. Good budget hotel that exceeded expectations.

I have stayed at Hotel Rena three times and think that says it all, and my next visit to Perissa, will be staying there again too, The hotel is small, friendly, clean and relaxing, the staff are very helpful and friendly too. The pool and pool area is kept clean, tidy and the choice of music is varied and just right for relaxing. It is very convenient for the beach, local bars and restaurants which are all within in easy walking - trips into Fira and Oia are easy by bus as the bus stop is also near by. I would certainly recommend staying at this welcoming family run hotel.

Went to Rena Hotel in July 2012, all I can say is don't book this place. The only good thing that I can say about it were the bar staff . Rooms terrible, we paid for 3 adutls and our room barley fit 2 of in, the first room we were given had no balcony & no where to make tea when we had booked for self catering. The breakfast a total hit & miss and the pool never cleaned & not enough beds for everybody. I have been to may Greek island & paid the same as I did for this place and never had a room like it. The actual island is lovely and will go back but never to this hotel.

The hotel is in a great location as its set from the main road and as its a small hotel the pool is never overcrowded apart from the day before flights home. The rooms are very basic and very dated. We stayed in number 26. 80's decor and next to the generator room so constant noise. But having said that our room was a decent size. Others complained of tiny rooms. But it was clean and sheets and towels were changed on a daily basis. Breakfast was very random and choice was very limited. The family that run the hotel were lovely. In essence it is a budget hotel and you get what you pay for. Santorini is a beautiful island. There is enough space to park a car if you hire a car.

We stayed at the Hotel Rena and I have to say we had a fantastic week. The hotel is small, friendly and very clean. The pool area and bar was clean and great to chill by. I would recommend this hotel and Perissa. The beach is only a short walk away with lots of bars and restaurants. A trip to Fira and Oia on the local bus is a must. We also enjoyed the trip to the volcano and swimming in the hot springs. All in all I would highly recommend Hotel Rena and Perissa.
