Stelios place is a great hotel. Staff is nice and very helpful. Location is perfect. Rooms are spacious enough and clean and have nice balconies. This hotel is good value for money: not luxorious, but very very nice.

This was our first time on Santorini and Stelios Place ensured that it won't be the last. Stelios and his family worked tirelessly and were very kind to us from the moment Stelios collected us from the airport until he dropped us back there. They always greeted us with genuine smiles, friendly (and subtle) service and good advice; they booked our trips and provided one or two extra little perks as well. Our room was modern, clean, comfortable, maintained daily and we enjoyed excellent views from a spacious balcony.

Stelios Place is ideally located for the beach, bus, shops, restaurants and yet still has a calm and peaceful atmosphere and a clean pool for those refreshing dips. It is also within walking distance of the ruins of Ancient Thira. Perissa offers a great beach with taxi boats providing access to other beaches and regular, local buses provide cheap rides to other parts of Santorini (via Fira). Stelios Place is a nice size and suits both the overnight-island-hopping-backpackers and families with young children like us - many of whom return every year. We enjoyed one of the most relaxing two week holidays we have ever had.

Our daughter insisted that we write our first ever Tripadvisor review on Stelios Place as she made some special friends in Stelios, Eva, Katerina and Voula and was very sad to leave. We know that she will visit again and hopefully she will get some more of those delicious grapes that they very kindly gave to us. Our holiday policy is never to go anywhere twice, but before we reached the airport we were already discussing our next visit. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will definitely return ...

We had a wonderful stay at Stelios Place! The family was so, so sweet and extremely helpful. The hotel is clean. Rooms are quite small, but it was definitely all we needed! The beach is metres away, as is the long street that has TONS of bars, restaurants and shops. The location was absolutely perfect. I would recommend this hotel (and this area) to anyone!

The wife of Stelios and his daughters are always smiling and ready to help. They are amazing! My husband and I have been travelling Italy and now Greece for almost a month. This has been most amazing, welcoming hotel we have stayed at.

I see other reviews speak about the showers not being big enough and the floor getting wet. Our floor also got wet when showering, and we simply wiped it with the floor towel they left and didn't even think twice about it. I was surprised to see people comment on that. This is not the sort of thing we would choose to remember/dwell on/let it bother us. It must be kept in mind that when traveling in Europe, American style hotels is not the norm. If this is what you want, then you're going to have to pay more and stay in a American hotel chain (if that's available).

We have nothing but great things to say about all aspects of this hotel and feel comfortable highly recommending it to anyone! : )

We have stayed in Perissa before but the first time that we have stayed at Stelios Place but certainly won't be the last. The hotel is a family run hotel in an excellent position (The location on some maps not showing accurately) It is 50m from the beach and 50m from main road but nestled between the two so very quiet. Just a few minutes walk from the small town square where the bus terminates for Fira and nearby the taxi boat can be caught for Kamari. There are plenty of tavernas and restaurants close by providing good food at reasonable prices.
Our room was kept spotlessly clean during the whole of our holiday as was the rest of the hotel. The rooms are comfortable and well decorated. The shower room was spacious and nicely furnished, hot water all of the time (Not something we have always experienced in Greece!)
The pool is not huge but big enough for a cooling dip and pleasant to sit around.
We had breakfast every day at the hotel and there is a good choice.
The big thing that made or holiday was the overwhelming hospitality of Stelios, Eva, Katerina and Volua. Whenever we saw them they were friendly and welcoming and really made you feel at home. Stelios met us at the airport and we found him within seconds of walking out of the building and of course took us back as well. The ladies we're all lovely and served our breakfast, drinks and snacks during the day and generally looked after us, we had many pleasant conversations with them during our stay and they and us really feel like guests not just customers. if you are lucky you will be treated now and again to Evas home made cake (We were lucky enough to have some of Volua's name day cake too! and even some of Stelios' home grown grapes)
The hotel was popular with all ages and nationalities either with guests staying for a week or two like us or just for a few nights.
We had a marvellous time and will miss the family as much as the location. We certainly wouldn't stay anywhere else now in Santorini.

Well - another year and another great stay with Stelios, Eva, Katerina & Voula. The family were again so friendly in every aspect - booking easy, and nothing too much for the family to make us feel really welcomed. It was a pleasure from booking, meeting, pick ups, stay, and drop off. We love it. Only literally 50m or so from the beach - chill out and relax. We've never had any problems and, whilst the hotel is clean and rooms nice with A/C & safe in with the price, its the family that make it for us a bit special. Looking forward to another stay not too far off. Love to you all & Voula, study & party hard whilst you are at University xx xx

Overall, I have to start by saying that Stelio's Place is a nice place to stay. It is right next to the beach and many restaurants, it is next to the bus stop, and the pool is a great benefit. Plus, it is much cheaper than any place you would find in Fira.

However - there are some things that made this place less worth the price that should be mentioned. Other people mentioned the shower - yes, the showers in the room are really annoying. They are very small and not well placed and so no matter what you do you will flood the bathroom floor. Also, I was surprised that for the price they did not offer free breakfast. I have stayed at many other hotels in Crete, Athens, Mykonos for the same price and they all offered free breakfast. Here you pay up to 10 Euros for a small breakfast in comparison to the free buffets offered in other places.

I have to say that the women who run this place - the mother and daughters are simply incredible. They are some if the nicest Greek women I've ever met. They go out of their way to make you feel at home and help you out finding your way around the island. However, I found the man less friendly. I am a solo traveller and don't mind being ignored, but I found him making conversation with couples and families, giving away free fruit and drinks to people and yet he rarely spoke to me. In fact I always felt as though I was bothering him and this to Made the place seem a little less comfortable. Still, the women of the house really made up for this cultural challenge I felt.

Overall, I did enjoy my time here. It was relaxing - but definitely consider all options as there are some problems I think this place still has to work out.
