My partner and I needed a nice hotel in Perissa as we were getting married in Santorini. We wanted somewhere nice. We booked a double room and was very nice, clean and comfortable.
The whole complex was really nice too. The staff were so very friendly and so nice!

The breakfast was the best spread i have ever seen! the choice was phenomenal.! They had nearly everything.

On our wedding night, the hotel had a lovely surprise for us. When we got back from our wedding reception, we found on our door a lovely little note saying "Congratulations, the residence of Mr and Mrs Nikos" and when we opened our door to our room the bed was covered in rose petals and hearts! Also to the left was an ice bucket with wine and glasses and a letter to us congratulating us on our marriage. So nice!

My wife and I were off to Crete for 4 nights and were returning back to the meltemi village for our final 2 nights. When we got back from our amazing honeymoon, the really nice lady welcomed us back but she had some news to tell us… i was worried something had happened to our stuff in our rooms while we went away or something…she said she had something to show us.
My wife and I looked at each other and were worried and we were walking a very different route to our room. She asked us how the honeymoon was and how Crete was which made me feel at ease. To our most amazing surprise she walked us to the villa area of the hotel and opened this door to this beautiful villa. She said, " we want you to enjoy your last 2 nights and remember your honeymoon forever, we are giving you the honeymoon villa complimentary" OMG!
We were touched, the villa had a jacuzzi outside, lots space everywhere, a massive bed, a massive lounge, slippers!!! robes, a walk in mediteranean cave shower, oh and a resident cat thrown in too which we named Kri-kri.

Just amazing.

thank you

A very nice place. Hardly any children. Peaceful. Pool, bar, breakfast room all good Lots of restaurants close by. 1/2 mile from the beach. But where it came into it's own was the staff and management, they were super. Nothing too much trouble. One day we were away from the hotel and unfortunately we had our cards and cash stolen from my pocket. The management of the hotel were great, lent us money till we could get some sent over, sorted meals for us, ran us around to the police and so on. Well worth a visit.

Room Tip: There are no bad rooms all with free air con.

On arrival the hotel looked lovely, pool was a good size, bar was lovely, reception area lovely, our room, so tiny, no space to put the empty suitcases, the only facility was a very tiny fridge, we had to use the glasses out of the bathroom ( for toothbrushes, toothpaste) to drink our water/ pop. The balcony was un tiled and overlooked a scruffy side alley, very disappointing.
The pool area could have been cleaner, sunbeds too close together, and because of all the trees you had to keep moving around to avoid the shade, difficult I imagine when it's busy,
The hotel overall, was in a good position for beach, bus stop, bars and restaurants. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Meltemi cocktail bar, next door was great. And our tiny room, along with every other room was kept really clean, clean towels and sheets every day.
Santorini itself is absolutely stunning, and Perissa beach is gorgeous.
Well worth a visit, I would even go back to Meltemi Village, other guests had lovely rooms, we just drew the short straw, even though we booked over 12 months prior.
So yes, I recommend this hotel, just not room 34 !

We have just spent a wonderful relaxing week in this quaint hotel. It was exactly what we needed, it is very very clean, pool area is lovely, staff are so helpful and polite. Breakfast is unusual but if you are prepared to give things ago you might find as I did that it was all really quite nice. If you just want to relax, enjoy the sun and try a different restaurant every night and you don't expect 5* luxury for 3* prices then this might be the place for you. There is a couple of negatives first being loo paper going in the bin not the toilet which my husband hates doing and the flies and mozzies which drove me nuts. On the plus side the pool wifi is free and even worked in our room which was at the far end of the village. I am so glad we went and the only reason we won't go again is that we are trying to go to each place only once. We also met some lovely people as everyone was very friendly both in the village and at the cocktail bar just outside. Many thanks to you all.

Room Tip: If you struggle to walk about please mention this as some rooms are a bit of a way from main hotel a...

First impressions of the hotel were great, very clean with lovely pool area with a nice bar terrace. Andreus helped us in with the bags, all the reception staff were wonderful and checking in went really smoothly.

The rooms are a decent size with nice large beds (on the harder side but that was fine for us), with a fridge and excellent air conditioning. However, we felt that the bathroom was small and could do with some T.L.C. This really is the only downside at this lovely hotel.

Breakfast is from 8 - 10, and is buffet style. Lovely European selection of food with fresh bread and pastries.

The bed linen and towels were changed every day, and there was no mess or litter anywhere in or around the hotel. The sunbeds around the lovely pool were comfortable, you could have as many pool towels as you needed and Andreus was there to serve drinks and snacks at the pool bar when you got thirsty or hungry.

Room Tip: Pick a studio for extra space.

Check in was smooth and efficient and Roy at reception made us feel very welcome. My first impression of our apartment was a little disappointing however I soon realised that it had everything we needed and couldn't fault it it. Some of the fixtures are a little dated but spotlessly clean and in perfect working order. Personally I found the beds a little uncomfortable and hard, my husband agreed but our 12 yr old son thought they were perfect so it's all down to personal preference. Our room was cleaned every day, fresh towels and sheets also. The maid works really hard and always had a smile. The small patio area outside was just lovely and quite secluded, perfect for a peaceful late night glass of wine that can be bought from the local mini market, €3 for litre and a half. The pool area is fantastic, very clean, quiet, plenty of sunbeds and Andreaus at the bar is so friendly and helpful, nothing is too much trouble. Both my husband and I celebrated birthdays while we there and on each occasion we came back to find a bottle of wine in our room along with glasses, flowers and wee note wishing us well. It's touches like that which sum up the service at Meltemi Village. Personable and first class. Will definitely be back.

Meltemi Villas/Hotel is a wonderful stay, the rooms are fine and what you would expect, there are various types within the Meltemi Villa complex, you have a couple of suites that have a jacuzzi, then you have the hotel room side of things, and then the Villas. The pool area is great, albeit there are a few huge palm trees, so the sun is shining more on oneside of the pool in the morning then as the sun hits midday, it moves and shines over all the pool area, though you may have to move beds if you are a sun worshiper, this is not a problem at all though. If you are half board you receive breakfast as standard, then a voucher were you can eat in the outside restaurant area where the food is great though this voucher can only be used in the complex up to about 7pm of an evening, where you can then use the voucher at the restaurant on the sea front which is called the - Atlantis, I would suggest you use your voucher of an evening and either make yourself something or pick some food up from the local market shop.

Certain prices with the restaurants vary not to much though as the food is virtuality the same, though there are a few exceptions, the pricing on the drinks within the restaurants can vary in a dramatic way, I found whilst drinking a beautiful bottle of Santorini Boutari (red) may be €15, it was €28 in another, so just be careful with this particular bottle, though you can walk along and look through the menus and check out the prices. If you are going to use the sun-bed's down on the beach, some charge €6 per couple, you can stay clear of these as some offer Free sun-beds, so check out the boards along the beach front. The bus service is good getting from Perissa (try and get the express bus it only takes 15 minutes and there is a board in the window at the front of the bus) to Thira(Fira) the capital and then from the bus station you can get to other locations around the island for a very small cost.
