Spent three nights at Meltemi Village and it was a great stay from beginning to end. The receptionist, Roy was really great when we checked in. She explained everything that we needed to know. Manolis is the manager and he recommended a beautiful restaurant for my wife and I to celebrate our 2 year anniversary in Oia and was very responsive via email when I had questions. Andreas at the pool bar was awesome. My wife and I loved the music he was playing at the pool the entire three days we were there.

When you get to your room, it feels like you're in your own little cabana. Beautiful flowers cover the grounds and the buildings have that iconic white Santorini look. We stayed in a standard room and it was just that. Had a small kitchenette, bathroom, small TV and we had one double and one single bed. It was more than we needed considering we spend most of our time outside of the room.

The included breakfast is great. Lots of different choices ranging from baked goods to hot foods and everything was delicious.

The pool is very nice. There were a lot of sun beds available any time we went but I can see as this place gets busy they might not as available.

Getting to Fira was easy enough using the bus as there is a stop right outside the hotel. It costs $2.20 Euro each way and depending on if you get the express, takes between 20 and 35 minutes. But beware, buses coming back from Fira will be packed. My wife and I had to stand a few times. If you get claustrophobic, you may want to consider a taxi which is about 20-25 Euro.

The beach is a 5 minute walk down one street. Easy enough to get to. It's very different as it's black volcanic 'sand' that gets extremely hot. There are a ton of restaurants on the stretch of beach that cater to all nationalities. I prefer to eat local food so I can't attest to any other dishes.

Last but not least, the hotel is so thoughtful they provided a bottle of wine and a very nice note on our anniversary to help us celebrate. We really appreciated that extra effort and we definitely wouldn't even consider staying at another hotel on Santorini after that.

Overall, you can't go wrong staying at Meltemi Village.

We wanted to go to Santorini but we were unsure on where to go... Then we found this gem! I was 6 months pregnant at the time so we got a suite which had a jacuzzi (well a cold bath) which turned out to be perfect! The room was so clean and tidy, we had so much privacy and the jacuzzi was just what I needed!
The staff are incredible! so helpful and always smiling. Well actually I could say that about all Greeks! they were lovely. Perissa itself doesn't look like much at first but to us it was the best beach by far!
I would highly recommend hiring a car for a day. To get to the other end of the island it is only a 45 minute drive but you can go to Oia for the sunset. Be prepared Oia is beautiful but expensive!!
I would strongly recommend Meltemi Village it really was great :)

For many years now we are enjoying our yearly stay at the Meltemi Hotel in Perissa. We are so very pleased about the outstanding service, the very friendly and helpful staff and owner as well the clean and comfortable rooms. The food could also not be better and is everyday a delight for our senses. So far there was never a reason to complain - we only have compliments to give. At the Meltemi Hotel we feel like beeing home! We are so greatful that we can enjoy unforgetable holidays every year at the Meltemi Hotel.

Room Tip: We have stayed at many different rooms and suites and they all are recommendable. Of course rooms on...

Stayed here 4 years ago and this time returned with 2 kids, 13 & 10! Great hotel for excellent people like Manolis, Roy, and Andreas- the fabulous bar , breakfast boy! We loved our 11 days and the people - staff made us warmly welcomed dare I say feeling at home! The room with loft worked for us but second floor was warm. The bed, that squeaked was minor and quickly fixed! Great offer to move but the loft ended up fine. Totally love the pool, fabulous breakfast, outstanding people who offered advice, laughs, and lots of friendship! You REALLY relax at the Meltemi! Love to return to Meltemi maybe an upscale family suite!!!??? ... Only a suggestion if we get to try it out!!

We came back to Meltemi Village with family and friends earlier this month after visiting the hotel for a week in September last year and being impressed.

We chose this hotel for ten nights over our wedding day and stayed in one of the suites. Many of our wedding guests stayed in double or twin rooms.
We all had such a fantastic time!

The hotel is very well run by Manolis the manager and we had great correspondence with him when arranging for ourselves and guests to stay. Roy on reception is so welcoming and friendly and she will go out of her way to ensure the guests are kept happy! She always has a smile on her face!

The breakfast has a great variety and was always fresh. Andreas and the kitchen staff ensured the food didn't run out and the poolside meals were also good!

The room was really nice! Very clean with a lovely courtyard, sunbeds and an outdoor jacuzzi which we used often. The staff left us fresh flowers several times and sprinkled rose petals all over the bed after we got married.

We had the most enjoyable stay here and we will be sure to visit the hotel again. It was great to be welcomed back with open arms on our second visit to the hotel.

Thankyou so much to all the staff at Meltemi who ensured we had the most perfect stay during the most special time of our lives!

Just back from 2 weeks in the meltemi and what a holiday.First the staff are lovely especially Ronnie the lady on reception. Our room had 3 beds for the 2 of us and extremely spacious with a small kitchenette. The balcony was huge with 2 sun beds , 4 chairs and a table, it could easily hold 8 more sunbeds with space as well. We have never spent so much time in our rooms before. We had no neighbours so it was very quiet. The beds, towels and room was cleaned each day.We ate at the pool bar and the food was lovely and plenty of it.Next door in the meltemi bar we drank with gabby, stelios and nico each night.Stelios and nico run the bar and gabby works there. Great people and we loved it. Perrisa is a great place and we hired a dune buggy to get around, great sunset in oia, lovely food in kamari and fira the cable car was a must.I cannot fault the holiday except 2 weeks was not long enough as i could easily have stayed longer.I have travelled around europe and the usa and besides vegas this was the best hotel i have stayed in and we travel twice a year abroad and thats for the last 30 years.

Room Tip: Best to have a high room

Was initially disappointed to get a back groundfloor room after requesting first floor. However it was so clean and staff brilliant, especially our room maid and andreas at the pool bar. Breakfast was great with plenty of choices. Lovely pool. Very quiet and only five mins walk to the beach. Meltemi cocktail bar was just outside, also run by a lovely couple, plus dorians pub across the road, both offered very cheap beer and cocktails. Would definitely recommend it.
