I'll make it short and sweet. It was just awesome. This diving club really needs no assessment, it can be not at all a review. So great, friendly, kind and above all, funny people are there who have been assessed by life itself, for a long time. The dive was an experience, and the boat ride to get there. A ream big thank you to Vicky, Lefteri, Mary and James for a memorable day. I will like to visit again and again.

“Friendly, safe, enjoyable place to dive or snorkel”
Reviewed 8 September 2013

I'm open water certified and paid for a 2-dive boat trip, my wife is a very unconfident swimmer and did a snorkel trip (on the same boat). The sites dived were at Mesa Pigadia (the south west tip of Santorini).

The experience was really great. Everything was done by the book, which is good for a new OW diver and essential for my wife's happiness. For the first time she snorkeled in water she couldn't stand up in and that's increased her confidence enormously.

The dives had wonderful visibility (see the photos) - maybe 100ft - and, while they were shallow (37ft max) there was quite a lot to see and do. Mesa Pigadia has steep cliffs (like the west side of Santorini) but is still fairly shallow (unlike the west side) and there are interesting caves as well as a moderate amount of fish life.

Dive conditions were pretty much ideal - no waves, no, or next to no, current. The water was a really good temperature - 73.9F - and the 3mm wetsuit was certainly adequate. I used all their equipment apart from my own dive computer, I'm a medium or large-tall and what they had worked well.

My wife was extremely satisfied with the snorkeling, despite a certain amount of initial fear from the first boat entry (this was the first time she had entered the sea out of her depth!)

They provided transport to/from our hotel and were very flexible about this - we wanted to eat after the dive and to enjoy some time in Perissa.

The video on their web site shows some shots of the Mesa Pigadia dives I did and that definitely is the boat they use :-) I think it's fairly representative of what you can expect, although maybe the fish life is over emphasized; the Aegean doesn't compare with the Carribean in this respect.

“Fun and safe diving”
Reviewed 29 July 2013

The staff were really nice from the moment we showed up. All four of us were certified divers, but one person only wanted to go snorkeling after a bad diving experience a while back. They were kind enough to bring extra equipment so she could do a short test dive once in the break between dives.

The rest of us had to do a review since it was a while since our last dive, so we got our own divemaster on three people. The remaining five divers (a family) had one divemaster, and the three snorkelers had a guide of their own. In other words, the groups were kept nice and small!

Due to wind we couldn't go to the caldera, but we were all really satisfied with the diving locations they chose. Good visibility and warm water. We knew we shouldn't expect too much in terms of marine life, so I think we all were positively surprised that at least a few interesting fish swam by (or crawled, in the case of the fireworm). The second dive was a cavern dive which was really fun!

If you want to go diving when in Perissa, I highly recommend Mediterranean Dive Club!

Had two good dives.Weather not great but still good experience. George and Vicky on the boat were very helpful and full of fun. Totally different to what we are used to seeing under water as we have only dived in Southern Africa.

“Good overall, but staff could have helped guide more”
Reviewed 6 July 2013

Overall a good experience - they did oversell a bit in terms of what we might see, but that's OK since this is not in their control. Most parts were fine, but there was an assumption that one knows snorkeling - staff could have helped guide more. Also, they should have a better way of tracking fins and goggles to prevent confusion later on what belongs to whom. Staff was very friendly and helpful.
