My 3 daughters and I stayed at Elarin for 2 weeks in July , in two studio apartments. Although quite basic the rooms provide everything you need and were regularly cleaned and sheets and towels changed. Eleni and Nikos are wonderful - nothing is too much trouble and they made us feel so welcome. Elarin has the perfect situation - very close to Club Street but down a side street so very quiet - even in spite of some quite loud guests who were also staying!! The whole place is really clean and well kept and the pool is lovely - small but plenty of sun beds for everyone. W probably should have paid the extra for a/c as hot at night, but it is Greece and anyway we survived without it. I would recommend Elarin 100% as self catering accommodation and wish I could go back there really soon.

My friend and I have just arrived home after staying at Elarin for a week (17th - 24th July). We had a wonderful stay here and I wholeheartedly recommend these apartments to you if you are looking for a holiday that is good value for money.
We are both 18 so went with the intention of partying as well as sunbathing on the beach/by the pool.
The rooms were simple but spotlessly clean - our bed sheets were changed I think, 3 times a week and so were the towels. We were given one bath towel and one hand towel each as well as a bath mat - we used one of the hand towels to dry up our breakfast things. In a twin room you have a dressing table, flat screen tv, beds, wardrobe with a safe box that you have to hire the key at 1 euro a day (worth doing). a double ring hob, sink, fridge and a cupboard containing sets of cutlery and basic utensils. On the balcony we had a table/chairs which was a lovely place to eat breakfast. The air conditioning was 6 euros a day and is definitely worth purchasing - it is also useful to yourselves and helpful to Nicos & Eleni if you email in advance so they can switch the air con on for you if you have a late flight; there is nothing worse than arriving after a long tiring journey to a hot stuffy room.
There is free wifi which pretty much covers the whole block - strongest signal is by the pool/reception area.
The pool itself is again emaculate. It is small but big enough to allow you to cool off and there are also some inflatables that you can use which we made good use of! There are plenty of sun loungers, most with parasols as well for shade. Nicos & Eleni run the pool bar themselves and it is great value for money. Toasties, burgers, fries, pot noodles etc all very cheap and are good for snacks. They also sell cold drinks and ice creams and can also offer you cocktails.
Foodwise there is a supermarket literally next door which sells groceries, cereals, bread - all the stuff you will need. 6 packs of 2l bottles of water which were very cheap. They also sell souvenirs, magazines - its pretty well stocked and the people running the shop are lovely. It is very cheap in there too.
Location wise I would say it is about a 10 minute walk into the centre of Faliraki but one of the main clubs, Bed Rock which was very popular is about 7 minutes away. The beach front is also about 10 minutes and there you can hire sunloungers for 4 euros a day. I recommend Peter's watersports who will do you great deals if you are repeat customers and they also own "Peter's taverna" which do beautiful greek food at low prices - Nicos has business cards for them and other nice restaurants. The location was good because you were close enough to the hustle and bustle of the nightlife but far enough away to be safe and to have a peaceful nights sleep.
I think all that is left to talk about is Superman and Superwoman themselves: Nicos & Eleni. They are two of the nicest people you will ever meet and they try so hard to accommodate your needs. It is a very non-commercial atmosphere and staying here you feel part of their family, it's lovely. They always have a smile on their faces and are always willing to offer recommendations if you would like them. - Their personalities and endeavor add that little bit extra to the place.
Everything in this review is 100% sincere, it was our first holiday away from Mum & Dad and we felt safe, happy and came away from Elarin with big smiles on our faces. It was a needle in a haystack find and can say that it is much better than the pricier 18-30 residences. Book it now!

We have just returned from a week's stay in the Elarin. We arrived in the middle of the night and the holiday rep showed us to our room. We were surprised that nobody was working at the hotel at night and this originally made us a bit apprehensive although we soon realised that the hotel was very quiet and safe at night. We met Eleni next morning and she sorted us out with a safe and air conditioning. Air con is a must! We found the owners to be very helpful and friendly, always willing to answer questions or offer help. The rooms were cleaned every day except Sunday and towels were changed a few times during our stay. Although the room was basic it was spotless, as was the rest of the hotel.
The pool was fairly small but had enough sunloungers for the crowd who stayed by the pool. The pool area was quiet during the day and a nice place to relax. The only minor problem was that you could not bring your own food and drink to the pool area.
The hotel is a five minute walk from the start of club street where there were plenty of bars and restaurants. Another 5 minutes took you to Bar street which is a bit louder and the beach. We found some lovely restaurants in Club St, especially Panchos mexican and Linguine Italian. Bliss cocktail bar serves enormous cocktails and King Arthur's bar was good for some live music and the hypnotist show.
I would definitely recommend both Faliraki and the Elarin studios and hope to return in the future.

We stayed at the Elarin at the beginning of July and found that it was definitely worth paying the extra for the air con.S

The apartments were well situated and easily within walking distance to everywhere in Faliraki but away from the noise on Bar Street and Club Street. The apartments had everything you needed and would recommend if you are after a cheap and basic place to stay.

We stayed at the Elarin 15-29th August. We went over for a wedding held at the nearby Kalithea Springs (worth a visit). My wife and her family stayed along with their children. We found the Elarin to be everything we needed. The owners Nikos & Eleni were very helpful they couldn’t do enough for us all.
The rooms were fine and were regularly cleaned. The Elarin is set just off the main road so it does not get any noise from the main street.
To be honest I went on a lads holiday in Faliraki 12 years ago so was dubious as to how it would be now that I am older. I can certainly say it’s a lot different, I think its reputation precedes it. The locals say that it has calmed down a lot over recent years and it is becoming more family orientated which I certainly agree.
Situated next door to the Elarin is a mini market which has everything you need including English papers. It was nice to have a drink in the evening at the hotel bar then head out for tea and a few drinks.
We often had breakfast at the Orion apartments snack bar round the corner where we were welcomed by the lovely Maria who we often visited at the end of the night for a cocktail.
We can highly recommend a restaurant called Zorbas which is not too far away on the main strip. The food was excellent and we visited there a few times.
As for where to go Rhodes old town by day and night is a must, we had tea and drinks their one evening as well as a shopping trip through the day. It’s about 20mins by taxi costing around 17-20 Euros or alternatively the bus service runs straight up the main street direct to Rhodes costing around 3.60 Euros.
Another place to visit is The Kalithea Springs this is only a ten minute bus journey from the Elarin.the wedding we attended was held there and provided beautiful views all around.
Lindos was another place we visited, it is a beautiful setting with lovely shops round the tight little streets. We ate there at one of the many restaurants with roof terraces overlooking the sea, around sunset is the best time to go to really appreciate how nice it is. Lindos was 45mins from Elarin and we hired a car at the rental shop down the road for the day a cost of 50 Euros.
All in all a very good holiday and the Elarin provides a perfect base for whatever you want to do with your holiday whether it be chilling by the pool or going off for the day. Nikos & Eleni were only too happy to make our stay as welcome as possible.

We stayed at Elarin between 18th August - 25th August 2012. We had the best time we have ever had in Rhodes and we are planning to book there again next year. The owners were the nicest people you would ever meet, extremely helpful with anything you needed. The pool area although small was lovely and you were always able to get a sunbed. Faliraki is a 5 minute walk up the road and with the supermarket right next door everything was on your door step. We had family stopping in one of the big all inclusive hotels on the beach but they spent more time at Elarin than their own hotel because of the friendly peaceful atmosphere. The rooms although basic were lovely and clean with toilet rolls and towels provided regularly (we were only there a week). The apartments are tucked away on a quite road so you can have a good sleep at night, but with the nightlife a 5 min walk away you have the best of everything. Highly recommended.
