First of all we would like to say THANKS to all the people who work there, they are wonderful,we were living like in family, and this is what was the most important thing for us at that moment!! We had the best room, thanks to the owner for that! The location of the hotel is very comfortable and surrounded by mountain, very beautiful!! The swimming pool always clean, the bar has a good variety of drinks. The only thing we would like to add is a little more diversity of food, anyway it was good. We a had a great time there!!!! Hotel was clean with spacious rooms, pool was good enough. Clean sea, 5 mins. away. But what spoiled our holidays the most was terrible food. All 10 days long was same fish (lunch and dinner) sometimes with different spices. And just second meat, mostly chicken. Just once beaf, two days lamb. As a side dish just spaghetti, rice or potatoes. Feta cheese was just for first 5 people in the line. For breakfast you can expect allways the same type of cheese and salami and hard-boiled egg. Russian bartender was reluctant and high and mighty. Definitely not going back !

We were pleasantly suprised as we were met upon arrival by the owner who was really friendly and made us feel very welcome from the start. Our room was spacious and clean and we overlooked the pool area which was really lovely - especially of a night with all the lights on.
We felt this was a good spot as it was out of the main hustle and bustle of the resort - yet it was an easy stroll to the bars and restaurants. The beach was fairly close too when we wanted to venture out. We enjoyed the fast food style Chinese on the main bar street and when we found the small harbour - there was some lovely greek style tavernas where we had a couple of meals.
Food in the hotel was good and they also has a greek night with musicians and the family got us all up dancing.
It was a nice break in a comfortable atmosphere and we would definitely go there again if we went on holiday in Rhodes.

Room Tip: Ask for a pool view - as its lovely of a night.

Just back from Greece, where we visited Kos and Rhodes island, had a quick look around for the places we stayed and to be honest I am very surprised reading a few comments, mostly from Italians, that don’t make justice to this nice small hotel Olympia Sun.

Holidays are different thing to different people and in our case, middle age couple; we don’t look or stay for a 5 start neither of an All Inclusive Hotel on our frequent travels around Europe. We prefer small and friendly but with clean and comfortable accommodation hotels with breakfast and that is what the Hotel Olympia Sun is. A good recommendation by our Kos Travel agent. The staff at Olympia were very friendly, helpful and laid back but always there to assist and their manager went beyond the call of duty to get us a dirt cheap price hired car. Thanks Savvas for everything!

Nice looking hotel, peaceful location, excellent facilities, and close to the beach. The room we stayed was immaculate and very large with large balcony looking the pool, simple but with very good furniture quality. The bathroom had all the facilities, bath/shower, soap, shampoo, towels including hair dryer. The buffet breakfast offered was more then adequate and of good quality fresh food and the whole package for the price we paid, was excellent. One of the evenings I took a good look to see what was on offer for dinner to all inclusive clients and the selection of food was very good, several meat and vegetable dishes, including fish and I think for a small hotel that was very good in my view.

We hired a small car and travelled around to Rhodes town and the island and we did not bothered to visit the main street of Faliraki at night, as that is not for us.

My wife and I had an excellent time, staying in this small hotel and we highly recommend it and as somebody else said, you get what you pay for and the Olympia Sun hotel is very good Value for money.

My best friend and I booked our holiday through Co-op travel (special thanks to Amy) on a monday and were in faliraki at the olympia sun studios by wednesday! Although a little apprehensive at the fact that there were seemingly no reviews available whilst booking, we decided to go for it as it was the cheapest holiday we could get. Well, you get what you pay for - we went self catering - limited cutlery/crockery and no toaster (can't remember if we had a kettle or not?!) but honestly, if you're looking for a cheap and cheerful break, you can't go wrong with this hotel! the staff were friendly, laid-back, but always there to lend a hand (miss you george!) - they were quick to get us toilet roll when we had ran out and the manager even came to our rescue when we stumbled across a killer spider in the bathroom! the bedsheets were changed half way through our stay, the bins were emptied and we were given clean towels 6 out of 7 days; i'm guessing the day we didn't was the maid's day off! the floor got a little dirty but that's only a minor niggle. Our room was much bigger than we had expected with a double and single bed. The pool area was clean and quiet, no trouble in grabbing a sunbed. The cocktails were lush and not too expensive either! The hotel was close to a number of amenties, with a shop 2 mins walk away, the beach was approx 10 min walk and the night life about 10/15 depending on the route you take.

Some info about Faliraki itself... The beach is lovely, quite a sea breeze so sunbeds are recommended else you will get sand everywhere! We went on a banana boat and got to swim in one of the clearest parts of the sea, it was amazing i would definately recommend this - you could see right to the bottom of the sea bed! Faliraki's waterpark claims to be this best in Europe - I beg to differ as the water park I went to in Ayia Napa was far superior! However, like I said before about getting what you pay for, and it's a cheap day out so worth it.

Well, as for the night life - WOW! The atmosphere is buzzing, everyone's out to have a good time =) you do get harrassed to go into clubs and bars and stuff with the offer of free shots/entry etc - but you HAVE to buy a drink. Never pay to get into a club, there's so much choice that you can easily haggle some deals.

I haven't mentioned much about food, that's because we literally starved for our first couple of days after a poor experience on our first night which ended up with us eating pizza at a cocktail bar on bar street - not a good idea! basically, avoid the restuarants directly on bar/club street! we did eventually find some decent tavernas near to the beach (v.cheap!), also found a lovely mexican, bit more pricey though. Zorbas is the place to go for an english breakfast, all english imported and only 3.50 euros, yum! didn't try the hotel's food wasn't very appealing to be honest.

WORD OF WARNING FOR YOUR OWN SAFETY - NEVER GO OUT ALONE AT NIGHT! Ask the hotel staff for the best route into and back from the centre at night or better still get a taxi. We tried a number of routes like the main roads, the dirt track and the beach and had some rather scary experiences such as being followed and pestered by Greek men and other foreign holidaymakers. Hence this being the reason for only giving 3 stars for location.

To conclude, if I was to go back to Faliraki, I would go back to Olympia Sun Hotel. I know it's such a long review but I don't think anyone has given this place the justice it deserves!! =)
