“Mixed feelings......”
Reviewed 2 August 2012

We visited Apollo blue at the end of July.We were 2 adults with 2 children (12 and 14 years). The hotel is new and very clean. It is excellent if you will visit it as a couple and without peeking the all inclusive package!!!I will begin with the positive things of the hotel:1)EXCELLENT STAFF,(especially Stavros from the taverna and Tsampika from the bar can make your day or night)The problem here was that the staff can not fix the problems of the management!!!2)EXCELLENT BREAKFAST.3)Great facilities ,location, beach(not private, you have to pay for the umbrellas),pools are fantastic.4)Medium quality of food at lunch and dinner.5)Very bad choice the sofa bed. This sofa can be used as a bed for very little children. The mattress is very thin, you can feel the iron frame. This was a huge disappointment.6)DON'T GET THE ALL INCLUSIVE PACKAGE!!!!We took this package for the 1st time and we really felt as B or C clients. Here are some ex.:The first day we asked for a bottle of water from the bar and we were told that this was not all inclusive,we asked for a toast and we were told that this was not all inclusive(instead we could go to the taverna and have pizza or salad. So we could ask for a full service in the taverna but we couldn't take a simple toast?),we asked for a granita and by mistake they made us from fresh fruits which ...was not for the all inclusive, during lunch if you are All Inclusive you can choose only from THE ALL INCLUSIVE DESSERTS?????,and finally the drinks. The wine for the all inclusive is unacceptable,(we tasted the white and the red.AVOID THEM).We asked for 2 whiskeys and the barman didn't see the AI bracelet ,so he asked me and gave me a JW.When he saw it he gave me the drinks but he told me that they were NOT FOR THE AI.The second ones were for the AI but were very low quality. As you understood we were bored to here the same thing. They gi information only for the hours and not for what you can take.FINALLY ,this hotel is the best choice if you don't have children and if you won't take the AI.P.S.Choose the taverna for your lunch.Great location and view and no smells. For the management i have to say that we made our complaints at the front desk and we were told that they will try to fix them .We are in Athens and we are still waiting!!!!!!The 4 stars is because of the staff!!!!

Just spent 8 days at the Apollo Blue. The biggest plus is service especially the girls at the front counter who I would give a 12/10 very helpful and good at what they do.Nothing was ever too difficult and they went well out of their way to help.

Rooms and bathrooms were always nice and clean.

For me the beds were not that comfortable but more importantly there was at least 3 times when the internet went down for several hours ,and as a day trader, that is not good enough. It was not wireless in my bedroom so the only way I could moitor and trade was in the lobby .

First time in a large highly rated hotel in Rhodes and the towel reserving of outdoor lounge chairs was ridiculous .At one stage there was about 50 people around the pool and all 120 plus lounge chairs had towels or some article reserving them. After sitting in a chair reading for an hour I decided to grab a recliner which after being vacant for so long it was reclaimed 5 minutes later which then ended up in a dscussion that this european chap owned it and that is acceptable practise.

I disagreed as I then said he might use it 20 minutes during the day and thats not fair to all customers paying the same money, so it gets unused the other 14 hours and he comes and goes as he pleases !!!!!!! This needs to be monitored in a better way so everyone gets equal use of the facilities.

There is a dress code when having diner at the hotel in relation to length of the pants you wear.

To me it seems odd that ladies can wear a very short ,short skirts yet as a guy my shorts (good quality and expensive) which are about 4 inches above my knee were deemed not suitable as they were not long enough but they were prepared to allow me this once to eat there.

I think this needs reviewing as I was not prepared to buy extra clothing just to eat within the hotel.

Hotel is well located , direct access to beach and also a nice walking path to other facilities and cafe.Night time entertainment was fun with tributes to Tina Turner and Abba a lot of fun.Day spa is very good , well worth using , girls are very friendly. A good stay but spoilt by a few factors .

We booked this holiday as our friends were getting married at this hotel. The hotel itself was excellent. Very clean, big bedrooms, friendly staff and the food was out of this world. We booked up for half board for 2 weeks but quickly changed to all inclusive as the deal was too good only an extra 13 euros per day. The food was excellent, lots of choice, very fresh and you could tell they take great pride in the food and a lot of thought goes into it. The staff were excellent as well, if you have the pleasure of meeting Stavros at breakfast and dinner then you are in for a treat. He really made our holiday. The hotel was so clean and plenty of sunbeds around the pool. The wedding itself was beautiful everyone made our friends who were getting married there feel at ease and nothing was too much trouble and they made a real fuss of the happy couple which was nice to watch. The hotel was not over crowded which was nice and great live music on in the evening. Overall I would say that I would return to the hotel tomorrow if I could. Very highly recommend and if you are thinking of getting married in the area contact Beverley the wedding planner she is great and she is independent.

Large hotel for a limited amount of guests. Which means, always room at the pool, always room in the restaurant, never have to wait long for your drinks.
Food was always ok, sometimes very good.
Rooms are good and very clean. Nice Spa available.
Staff is great, doing everything to make your stay a real holliday.
Even the evening entertainment was good, not always to our taste, but still good.

I must say everything was perfect!!! We just come back 2 days ago with my boyfriend.
Hotel is even more beautiful than on the pictures. Swimming pool, beach amazing!!! Hotel service was very friendly, helpful and flexible. After night life we were so tired to wake up for breakfasts and still they were so kind to allow us to eat in the restaurant. For a good reason the hotel won 3 years in the row the reword for the best hotel in Faliraki. I was very surprised that prices of the treatments in SPA in the hotel were the same is in here in Amsterdam…The food in the hotel very delicious. Every day on breakfast and dinner was something different. Even fried potatoes had differences shapes every day rise was served with different herbs also….Small details but makes your holiday perfect!!! Rooms are light and specious. The design of the hotel is very smart and beautiful. We had room for two with the view of the side of the see. IT was also very nice.
Hotel is very quiet compare to all others in Faliraki. I would advise it for couples and families with bigger kids. Unfortunately (which for us as couple was nice) hotel is not adjusted for kids. We as young couple wanted to have good rest and also go out. Hotel is situated in perfect place, far enough from noise of the center but 5min walk from there so without any afford we were even able to walk back at 3-5 at night after parties.

The Sentido Apollo Blue is simply the best hotel I nave ever been. Nice staff, amazing rooms (the junior suites have a direct access to a private pool). We choose the All Inclusive package, which gave us the opportunity to taste different kind of delicious food, everyday there was something new. The whole hotel is perfectly clean. If you want a delicious cocktail go to the reception bar, Victor is the best barman in the Hotel. Visit also the SPA to have a relaxing moment. This place is perfectly suitable to relax, we will come back as soon as possible.

This is your typical, good quality beach hotel. Spacious, light and well appointed but slightly devoid of character. Absolutely spotlessly clean, it would appear it is being constantly cleaned and gardened. Rooms were large, bathrooms suitably luxurious and again spotless.Ample space around the pool, comfortable sunbeds and great facilities throughout the hotel. The food was great, we just had breakfast but I have never seen such a good selection of good quality options.

I would have given the hotel 5 however we had just a few gripes. We were not the hotels usual customers, a couple in our mid 20's, English speaking with a private booking. Once at the pool bar a server seemed to imply in German that we hadn't paid the bill, which we had. Every day at breakfast it was difficult to get attention of a server for coffee whilst people around us were seen to immediately after sitting down. This didn't effect our experience much and otherwise we had a wonderful, relaxing stay.
