Apollo blue is a good hotel rooms are very spacious and clean as is the rest of hotel. Breakfast was ok we were b&b had evening meal once which was average you can go all inclusive for extra 35 Euro's per person per night would not recommend it as you don't get any spirits only local beer on draft. The staff are all very friendly hotel is in a great spot right on the beach and close to bars 7 restaurants. Anyone with kids there are no activities during the day. Would go back

The hotel is ok, staff is friendly. We did not think the buffet lunch and breakfast food was any good, would not order all inclusive again. The room i had booked should have a sharing pool just outside, but we got a seaview room with a balcony, to get to the sharing pool we had to go about 20 meters.. The location is good, in a quiet area, 5 minutes walk to the main street.

Sentido is a large and spacious hotel. I liked the lobby, very big and bright thanks to the windows.
The rooms are simple and well kept.
The pool area is very large and well organized. Although the hotel is large and crowded you can always find a comfortable place in the area for sunbathing.
My rating is so good but I found the hotel a bit cold and without personal elements.

The property is nicely designed and well laid-out, giving an impression of clean expansive accommodation with an open, relaxed attitude. A short path leads to the public beach and into the sister hotel next door (where your AI bands are valid for drinks). Our room was pleasant and spacious, if a little business-like in decor. A firm bed and decent aircon allowed restful sleep.

Grounds are sprawling and the complex loosely wraps around a pretty pool and sun terrace. Plastic chairs and disco music do not make for the most peaceful pool bar, and a couple of (separate) noisy groups seemed to dominate the atmosphere at various times during our week.

The food is above average AI fare - different dishes each evening though the theme seems to alternate every other day. Breakfast good but unexciting, and the extra charge for orange juice seems quite ridiculous for this standard of hotel.

All staff we met were friendly and professional, though some of the waiting staff seemed a little beleaguered by their workload (though all in good humour). Evening entertainment was typical large hotel standard (professional but uninspiring).

We had a free massage voucher, and the spa was great on a rainy day - credit to the therapists and desk staff.

The town of Faliraki is not what it once was, it's noisy and brash, but we didn't see much of the liveliness and fun we had hoped for when choosing our resort. The beach is always busy, but the boats spend more time honking for business than towing fun-seekers. Fear not though, this is the only noise you will hear at the hotel, all other city thrum is off in the distance.

In summary - a pleasant unpretentious hotel for a relaxing holiday, but clearly over-priced and therefore disappointing.

Room Tip: Don't bother upgrading to shared pool, it has no privacy and the main pool is great,

I have beed to so many hotels but this one was flawless. It's a new hotel, well designed, quiet, the food is devine, friendly staff. The have a cute indor swimming pool.
They have a one hour free internet in the lobby. At first I was dissapointed that the internet was'nt free in the room, but hey... one hour to check emails is more than enough. The purpose is to disconnect :)
The village of Faliraki is wonderful also.
If you are going to Rhodes... this is it

Room Tip: Seems like all rooms are good. We had room 278 279 facing the quiet side (not facing the swiming poo...

My wife and I booked this hotel for a 10-day holiday to the sun (4-13 September). We opted for the All Inclusive (AI) package. Here is our review of the hotel (and a bit more).

Reception area

We arrived around 11.00 am and were warmly welcomed by the front-desk staff. They handed us the registration cards and showed us the welcome area where we could have some refreshments. Luckily our rooms had already be cleaned, so we could go up immediately.

Hotel

It is a large, clean hotel, no high rise buildings. There is a bar at the reception level (first floor) where you can also sit outside (nice views of the sea). There is also a bar at the restaurant level (ground floor) but that was closed (probably because it was a bit later in the season). The hotel itself lacks a bit of atmosphere, we found it to be a bit sterile. Some rooms have a private pool or share a private pool (not accessible by other hotel guests).
There is internet at the hotel, one hour free every day, there is also an internet corner (paid). There is also internet access from the room (cabled) which you also have to pay for. But hey, you are on holiday, right?

Room

Very spacious room (we were in 394), including a small sitting area (the couch also transforms into a bed) with a flat screen TV (for Dutch folks: including BVN). Spacious bathroom with a large bad (whirlpool) and a tiny shower cabin (I could fit in, only just, but had to be careful not to accidently shut off the tap). Towels, bathrobes and slippers are provided. For me the bed was comfortable, my wife thought it was a bit firm. Depends on your weight I guess. There is also a mini-bar which is filled once (on arrival) and contains water and some soft drinks. A safe deposit box is also available, free of charge.
Our room had side sea view, which was a blessing in disguise, since that meant we did not have the sun shining into our room. There is also air-conditioning, which was working well.

Restaurant

We only had dinner in the main restaurant (buffet). The AI package also included one dinner at the a-la-carte restaurant, but we didn’t use it. The food at the restaurant was OK, lots of local produce. Attention to detail, although I have to say that the hot food was not always at the optimum serving temperature, so that is something that could be improved on. Included in the AI package was wine, beer and soft drinks, so if you want an aperitif, go to the pool bar first and then have dinner (otherwise you will to pay for that).
Lunch was at the taverna, also buffet style. The variety here was not that great, but the food was good. If they have the mousaka, go for that, but you have to be quick when it is there (or as one of the chefs would put it (in Dutch): opperdepop (translates to ‘all finished’)).

Pool

Large pool, water a bit chilly. The sea water temperature was a lot better, but you will have to pay if you want a sunbed and umbrella at the seaside (this is not part of the hotel, most beaches in Greece are public).

Pool bar

Nice pool bar, opens strictly at 10.00 am. Choice and volume of the music was sometimes a bit off, but they try to cater to everyone’s taste (also depends who was behind the bar). Not all drinks are included in the AI package, only the ones marked with a red dot on the bar drinks menu are. Don’t blame the staff for that, blame the management (one of the staff mentioned that at one stage a new cocktail was introduced (Bloody Mary (vodka/tomato juice) which was included in the AI package. But, if you wanted tomato juice only, you had to pay for that. Where is the logic in that?).

Entertainment

Most nights there is entertainment, either at the hotel or at the sister hotel next door (Apollo Beach). The AI package will also allow you to have drinks at that hotel. No entertainment for kids, so that’s probably why the number of children at this hotel is low. There were a lot more kids at Apollo Beach. There is also a games room, but all the machines here need to be fed with euros. The hotel also has a gym and spa, you can access the sauna/hamam once (for free) during your stay.

Surroundings

The hotel is located in Faliraki, which some people regard as the Chersonissos of Rhodes (so if you like bars and discos, you’ve come to the right place). However, the hotel is slightly outside the center and really tranquil, no noise from outside. Because it was later in the season it was already getting relatively quiet, some bars already closed.

Rhodes town

There is a boat going from Faliraki to Rhodes town (and also to Lindos). You can get on at the beach, right at the hotel. A round trip will cost you 11 euros, one way takes about 40 minutes. The old part of Rhodes town is charming, really nice to visit. Watch out for minimum charges (10 euros) at some of the tavernas (2 drinks suddenly become expensive then). You can also go there by bus we have been told. Other tips: visit Lindos and Tsambika beach (nice tavernas right on the beach)).

Summary

Nice hotel, a bit sterile, food can be improved upon (temperature wise, selection was fine). The AI concept needs to be looked at, it’s strange that AI is not really AI. The staff is great (thank you all for looking after us :-)).

Would we go back? To Rhodes, most definitely, to the hotel, not likely (we will try something with a bit more atmosphere next time, probably something smaller).

We chose the "all inclusive" option for this first stop on a two-centre holiday and were not disappointed. No, this is a not a 5* resort hotel, but to be honest I am not sure that there are many in Rhodes (but do check out the Atrium Prestige).

However, what you do get are very clean and very stylish rooms, a completely hassle free food and beverage experience, very friendly staff and an excellent location on the beach front.

We stayed in one of the suites on the top floor with a shared, private pool. The shared terrace and pool were a little lacking in character, but the main pool was what you would expect; a nice relaxed atmosphere and plenty of sunbeds to go around.

Food on the all inclusive (AI) deal was good, but not amazing. Plenty of variety across the board (but not much from day to day). The AI wine is barely drinkable (but I've yet to encounter an AI wine that doesn't taste like paint stripper) which is a shame. The other AI drinks are fairly limited, but probably not more than anywhere else (and not to the extent that it effected my enjoyment). The hotel doesn't really publicise the fact, but if you are AI then you can also drink next-door in the Apollo Beach (which seems to share the entertainment programme at certain times of the year). And wrist-bands??? Please, not at the rates you charge.

A few minor gripes. EUR15 for use of the spa is a bit over the top (although I think that most guests receive one free use). WiFi coverage is not amazing and is capped at 1 hour per day per device (so either take lots of different devices on invest in some software that can spoof a different MAC address). We had an afternoon of persistent rain and it would appear that that hotel don't possess any doormats, so they laid bath towels at each entrance. These are, as I say, minor issues which didn't really matter but do indicate that just a tiny bit of a change in mind-set would enhance the guest experience that little bit more.

If I stayed in Faliraki again then I would probably stay here.

Room Tip: It really did seem to be worth going for the sea-view rooms. Some of the others did seem to be a bi...
