I went on a last minute, money saving holiday with 2 other girls. We arrived at 2am , and were given a room which was still messy and dirty. but after we complained, we were given a room straight away, which was lovely and clean. the staff are really friendly and helpful. I wouldn't recommend this hotel to families or older people. It is noisy because of the bar playing music all day, everyday. this hotel is perfect for teens / early twenties who are looking for a good night out, the drink and food served here are lovely and cheap. The walk to the main strip is about 5-10mins and only 5euros for a taxi back. The beach is a little further, about 15-20mins. The waterpark is a must, and is only 20euros. The room is very basic, but lets be honest your not gonna spend all your time in the room. I suggest getting air con, otherwise it'll be too hot. We didn't get a safe, and nothing went missing (we locked everything up in our suitcases) Our neighbors however, had stuff missing, so depending how much your willing to pay for a safe, its better if you have one. after reading the reviews we had our doubts, since it was our first girly holiday, ignore them, the hotel is wonderful, the staff are friendly, your meet people, its perfect if your looking for a party holiday. Really want to go back. x

This was a last minute booking for us and as we had never been to Rhodes was not sure what to expect. We arrived at 6am exhausted due to flight delays, the receptionist was not very welcoming and insisted on taking our passports and keeping them, when I kicked up a fuss as no-one else had he said it is for the police!! I have travelled all over the world and have never had my passport held, usually a photocopy is taken. The passports of everyone were shoved into pidgeonholes (not in a lock box) and told we could collect them in the afternoon. The room was stifling when we walked in, we did not know air con was available and only realised 2 days into the holiday, and we were quoted 40euros. The kitchen area is part of the bedroom and again realised after 2 days that the reason the room was so hot was the fridge which generated so much heat the stove and sink burnt my hand. The ice box was solid ice and we tried to defrost it ourselves, eventually we complained and it took 2 days for someone to have a look and sort it out. We slept with the doors open which helped cool the room. We also took our own pillows which was just as well because the hotel ones were like wafers, but we knew from experience most hotels are stingy with their pillows. The bathroom basic, but we had to clear a blocked drain, the first shower water poured everywhere, the shower curtain too short, also toilet paper has to be put in a bucket, which is open, so the room smells. We decided after the first day to use the shower as a bidet instead which worked out more hygienic. Pool area super, but music a problem, they need to play more generic stuff instead of constant ministry of sound radio. The echos from people slamming doors is atrocious and at night we were constantly woken up by people coming back from late partying, so we had very little sleep, also the walls are paper thin so you can hear everything going on either side, including conversations. Overall it ws ok for the price but there is quite a bit that could be done to improve standards and staff need some training on PR and customer service.

We stayed here in August 2010 and it was lovely. It was our first hotel as a couple and although it was very basic and not pricey, it was just what we were looking for. The rooms had a kitenette with a stove, sink, some cutlery and plates and cups and also kettle (although didnt work which wasnt such an issue as i had brought me own travel one!), the room also had a nice double bed with a thin sheet which was ideal as greece in august is mega hot. The rooms bathroom was nice and the air con was a god send. There was a safe box you could rent to keep your important things in i.e. passport, money etc.. and you were gven a key to access it however it was downstairs in the reception rather than in the room, but that was ok because nothing went missing :]. The poolside is great and the little bar is lovely but the one thing i would say is that the beach is quite a walk away it took about 15-20 mins and although this isnt that far in the searing heat, it wasnt too pleasant. (even at night it was quite a walk to take on!) Restaurants in the area were amazing especially the chinese on the main road down to drinking central, and a grill which is owned by a big, giant man who is ever so friendly and also owns a restaurant in the old town too. We took a mini comedy type train around the shopping town and got to a high area overlooking the sea just as the sun was setting and it was just perfect. Overall, i would say the achousa is a lovely hotel in itself with really nice staff, only issue is its location if you plan to walk everywhere.

Took my 15 year old daughter for a experience??? Arrived in day, to find we were not booked in, so no room?? Rectified after 10mins. Rooms very dated, but u get what u pay for.
All in all, a noisy hotel, the music around the pool, was sooo loud, you'd have to shout to the next sunbed, for the lotion!!
Plus it was all that chavvy techno stuff, I can party like the rest of them, but after day 3, I would have gladly set a sledgehammer to the system haha!!
The walk into the main resort, what a hike, along a busy dual carriage-way, the taxis were on strike :-( ,
Would I stay in this hotel again???
Yes: if I were a group of 18-25 drunks,
No: if I were a young family, especially with tots. STAY AWAY!!!
Did my daughter enjoy it?? Loved the nite life on bar street, although tacky haha!!

Oh yes.... must recommend a Greek restaurant, walk down towards main resort, then a street on your left, opposite 'Mick's' pub, amazing mezes, proper Greek food mmm!!! Loads 2 eat n drink only €23 for 2

May the chicken gyros be with you!!! X

Went here for a week with a mate on a last minute cheap holiday.
reception was helpfull and pleasant with any questions you had, the rooms were basic but clean, beds not changed as often as stated (we were told every 2 days) but it was only changed once in the weeks stay... Air con is a must!!!!

Didnt bother with the 18-30's outings as your just rushed from bar to bar. The pool area was clean and pretty chilled out untill about 3pmish when those that had been out all night got up, but then they were all too hungover to make too much noise. plenty of shade by the pool and loungers. my friend and i made it down the pool early each day and it was very relaxing.

The hotel is about a 15-20min walk from the main strip of bar street and club street which we ventured out to every night of the stay, well lit paths along the road but be very carefull when crossing the roads!! Its a downhill walk into the main strip of bars so its not too knackering and the walk back was always after a few drinks so didnt notice the uphill bit. The only time the uphill was felt was when carrying supplies back from the markets.

While walking down bar street the you will be hassled to come in with free drinks and shot offers, you get used to it after a night or 2 of it, they dont take no for an answer but are pleasant about it all. At the end of the day they have got to earn a living.

we went self catering but ate out almost everynight, shop around for the best deals at local markets, as some are a bit pricey! the room was did not have much in the way of cooking stuff there was a kettle, a 2 hob electric cooker which was alright for cooking easy stuff like pasta. one pan and just enough plates, cups, knives and forks etc for the 2 of us. alright for making a quick snack. Eating out was great, learning a few greek phrases go along way with the locals... just general maners like please, thankyou, hello and goodbye. usually got a free drink after the meal for giving things a go. the food itself was awesome i didnt have a bad meal and you always got loads for the money. Sizzlers steak bar is a must if you like your meat.

The waterpark is a must, although id advise wearing aqua socks as the paths in the park gets so hot its like running over hot plates between shade if the hose's are not working to cool the path! can easily spend the day there.

look around for the mini cruises as you can get some real good deals for a 3 or 4 hour trip around the coast of rhodes visiting a few nice bays that are great for snorkeling with plenty of time to get off the boat and have a swim... or get pushed off the boat mush to the amusement of the captain and other travelers. Who needs enemies when you got mates that do that to you eh??

the beaches are clean and get busy, plenty of loungers but you have to pay was about 3 euros for the day so not tooo bad if you were spending the day on the beach. the sea was warm and calm im over 6ft tall so could wade out pretty far from the beach before needing to swim which was nice.

overall i can not really fault this hotel or holiday and thats why im going again in august 2011 but for 2 weeks this time and to the same hotel!

We researched this hotel to ensure it was far away from Faliraki and quiet. What we read was that it was "on the outskirts of Faliraki with its own bars, cafes & shops, near to the beach, a quiet location, suitable for couples and families". All total lies!
It was nearly a mile walk to the nearest shop (1.5 miles to the nearest real food market AB), nearly a mile to the nearest restaurant or bar, a mile to the nearest bustop, 2 miles to the beach. All along a very fast motorway with almost no shade - quite a dangerous walk in scorching temperatures and no breeze. Taxis were too expensive to use. The hotel charging 1 euro for a bottle of water which cost 33 cents in AB.
For the first 10 nights of our 14 night stay we were woken between 5.30-6.30 am with young louts slamming doors, shouting down the corridors, gathering for parties in their rooms. Despite confronting them ourselves and the receptionist ordering them back to their own rooms & to be quiet, they would not stop the noise so it was often 8.30 am before we could sleep.
Then, at 9.30 am each day the pool bar switched on dance/rave music at full blast. This echoed over the whole complex and continued until 9.00 pm. When they were asked to turn down the volume so people could relax at the pool they were told: "If you don't like the music, leave the pool".
The notice on the door of the room stated "If complaints are received regarding your behaviour within your accommodation, either by other clients or accommodation owner, Olympic Holidays have the right to terminate your holiday, the owner has the right to evict your group without prior notice ...." When we pointed this out we were told only the rep could evict them. She served a 'written warning' only after 10 days of noise & they were due to leave then anyway. Our last 4 days were relatively quiet at nights but only because the noise had moved to other corridors. We did attempt to get moved out but would told we'd have to pay over 100 euros.
As far as self catering facilities were concerned, this consisted of (in the corner of the room): a sink, fridge, electric kettle, 2 electric rings. Two of each crockery, glasses, cutlery. 1 frying pan, 1 boiling pan, 1 spatular, 1 ladel.
Air conditioning cost 40 euros a week and the fidge fitted under the drainer ensured the sink area was always hot. Plus the room was carpetted making it even more hot & sticky indoors.
We talked to several unhappy families and couples who had each read the false information that the hotel was quiet with family facilities so, like ourselves, had been duped into making a booking and were desperate to move out.
This hotel caters strictly for 18-30s only & clients are generally what can only be described as British louts with zero respect for anyone.
If you are a family or couple do not go there or you will have a truly horrendous holiday experience.

This hotel isn't the 'best dressed' but as long as you have a bed to sleep in then i dont see why that would matter!! The rooms are spacious with each one having its own balcony. Our room was situated round the side of the hotel and we had a view of trees, but i think this was good because we were away from the pool music and the bar where it could get quite noisy. They are cleaned everyday with the bedding changed every 2 or 3 days. They have there own little kitchen area but we never used it, only the fridge!
The pool is quite big with lots of room to laze around it. There is constant dance music being played around the pool area which is good but as the week goes on you kinda feel like you could do with some silence for a bit!
The staff and friendly and helpful thoughout the hotel. The food that is served at the pool bar is quite cheap and you get some of the biggest, best tasting food in world!!!! If they have a bbq whilst you stay, GO TO IT!!
The hotel is located down the road from the strip, around a 15 minute walk.
Overall this hotel is a great place to stay with helpful staff and I would recommend :D

Room Tip: I think it's best to have a room away from the pool and bar sides, especially if you stay in at...
