After me and my family were upgraded to this Hotel, we were so pleased and amazed to how beautiful it was.Our two little girl's absolutely loved it and most of that was down to Irene who was part of the annimation team, she was fantastic with all the children. The Hotel itself and location which was right on the beach was great but the beach was pebbly and there was a sudden drop in the sea which wasn't good at all for younger children.Overall most of the staff were good, lovely food and lovely weather. We would return to this hotel again.

My daughter Sophie and myself stayed at this beautiful hotel from 23-30 October and I was worried that as it was the last week of the season that the standard may slip (restaurants closed etc) but I couldn't be more wrong. All staff gave 100% especially the lovely young lady in the champagne bar, nothing was too much trouble. We had no problems what so ever with the Russian tourists, they were lovely. Our only regret is that we didn't get anyone's email address as we met some lovely english tourists who made our holiday fun

Room Tip: We stayed in a private pool room which was first class, it was sheer luxury to get up, pull back the...

We went there on august this year , and was wonderful. The location is convenient , near rhodes old town , and the hotel is really impressive . All was clean , and the personal very kind . We had a great time . What's more we met Stamos a very friendly waiter , who really likes his job and very professional . We're lucky we've met him and any hotel would be lucky to have him in it's staff . We want to come back next year .

On arrival at this stunning reception area after the end of a long flight at c midnight we were confronted with the very unwelcome news that the hotel had 'overbooked'

Since returning from holiday we see this is now a familiar story.

Be warned the alternative hotel they offer you is far from the quality that you will have booked and paid for.

Yes when you eventually get to this hotel you will not be disapointed as it is truely a stunning hotel and the staff running it work very hard to make your stay perfect. It is perhaps the managers and accountants that run this hotel at perhaps 120% capacity that are at fault playing with your holiday arrangements.

If you are happy to play Russian Roulette with you holiday arrangements then this is the hotel for you!

We were thrilled to arrive at this hotel but were told at reception that they had overbooked and that the first two nights we were to stay in another hotel 10 minutes away but this turned out to be a downgrade and the food was terrible. When we eventually got to our booked hotel it was fantastic, but be warned if you are going to book this hotel as the Russians come first.

We booked the Alilia on a recommendation end of Sept. Beautiful, impressive hotel. But sadly upon arrival at around 23.30, we were informed that the hotel was over booked by 27 rooms, (this appears to be a regular occurrence) there were already people in the reception kicking off over this and refusing to be moved for the night, they offered us a room at an alternative hotel in nearby Faliraki. Assuring us it was a nice one, as we were tired we agreed, but not before finding out what compo they were offering. (we got a letter offering us a free room upgrade, guaranteed late check-out and one days free hire car, As we had planned on hiring a car we were happy). We were taken by one of the hotel security staff in a hotel car to the Apollo Blue (Sentido spa & resort), which was of an equal star rating and given their A/I band to use. Our room there large, clean, modern. Not a problem.
We were picked up the next day around 10am after having a champagne breakfast and taken back to the Alila, where we eventually got our room. Rest of the week we had no problems. Staff friendly, over worked but helpful. Facilities great, lovely restaurants, Bars etc. Downside, small pool area, pool freezing, stony beach and the usual problem of too many rude, arrogant, bad mannered Russians.
Would go again next year, but will be reading all reviews closely before making a decision as it appears that standards have slipped a bit since opening in May.
Rhodes is an amazing island, Would recommend hiring a car to see the full island. (Take your driving license)

Room Tip: Book a sea view on the higher floors,
