Having read Trip Advisor prior to traveling we were a little concerned but the negativity about the Alila Hotel is out of date and misplaced. The hotel is now just one year old and it till looks like it has just opened. It is constantly being cleaned to maintain their high standards. From our arrival the staff were courteous and friendly, making us always feel very welcome. The food, whether eating in the main restaurant for breakfast, lunch or dinner, was always plentiful and varied and tasted fantastic. The food was always fresh and well presented. The pools and gardens were enjoyable to be in, yes there is a restriction on the pool use but the main pool is plenty big enough and the kids are in a safe pool by the animation kids entertainment area.
Only issue is the gym, not a major issue and did not affect the enjoyment of staying in this hotel. Only three pieces of equipment; a bike, cross trainer and running track. The hotel charged EURO 10 per hr. Very frustrating that they provide overly generous helpings of alcohol, proper brands like Gordons, Baileys etc but they charge for gym use. Would have been happier with a weaker G&T!
We are considering another visit for Sept 2015, taking my parents next time, all the praise the hotel really needs.More
