“A hidden gem”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 16 June 2014

The Venezia Resort is one of the best holidays we have had. The resort is run by a lovely family who cant do enough for you. The pool area has been newly refurbed and is better than ever. We went self catering and food and drink are very reasonably priced. Very relaxed environment but lively at the same time. Has a small supermarket in the reception area which proves more than you would ever need during your stay. A/C and safes are provided at an extra cost but again well worth getting for the price. Will definitely be returning and we cant wait.

My sisters and I booked this holiday at the last minute. We had our reservations about going to Faliraki but need not have worried. This hotel is sufficiently far enough away from the 'bedlam' that is the Falariki resort. Granted it is up a relatively steep hill but there is a bus stop directly outside and a taxi from the centre is only 5 euro, so it wont break the bank.
Venezia Hotel is totally family run and it shows - they cannot do enough for you and are very attentive. Our rooms were very comfortable and well appointed - the beds and towels were changed every day. If I had one 'gripe' about the room it would be that the shower cubicle was too small - it may have been better to make them wet rooms as the space was at a premium. However this is truly an observation and it did in no way spoil our enjoyment of the room.
The AcquaPool area is fantastic - there are plenty of sun beds, hammock seats under trees, and a childrens play area around the child pool. Snacks at the bar are freshly made and very reasonably priced. It strikes you that the whole area has an attention to detail seldom seen these days. The standards are so high - the snack bar so clean and the public toilets round the pool are exceptional. Our 'gripe' for this area is the loud music continuously played. Takis - please note most people have personal headphones for the music they wish to hear. It would be lovely if there was a 'quiet period' at some point in the afternoon. However again this is a small 'gripe' and did not ever detract from our enjoyment.
Within the hotel, the food was exceptional - we were half board and can honestly say we never had a bad meal. The dining area had superb views over Faliraki and the bar/lounge area was very welcoming and comfortable.
A measure of our comfort within this hotel is that we only ventured out into Faliraki town one night - the rest of the evenings were spent very happily at the hotel.
I cannot stress enough how much we enjoyed our stay at Hotel Venezia. We felt very comfortable from the moment we checked in. This is a wonderful jewel in the Falariki crown - we shall definitely be returning.

we could not have asked for a more friendly and welcoming hotel if we tried. Having stayed at hotels all over the world, at all standards, this was the first hotel we felt really sad to leave. The staff could not do more to help and after upgrading to one of the new suites (recommended!) the room and view were excellent. Love to Anastasia and all the staff who looked after us.

Room Tip: It is up a hill so a good walk but easy taxi's and we even got picked up by staff when we walked...

Had no knowledge of this hotel as our trip was extremely last minute.
It is family run and much bigger than it first appears.
Whilst it is slightly out of Faliriki and up a road which gets steep, the view down over the town and of the sea from the bar/reception/breakfast area more than makes up the effort.A lot of the rooms have the same view, though whilst ours did not, the garden area/swimming pool which we looked over was not unattractive.
Cleanliness is high on the list for them and although some of the fittings are'standard for Greece' (haha) they were clean and tidy with plenty of hot water and soft white towels every day.
The family is lovely and obliging, all working together to provide the right effect.
Even though it is billed as a 3 star we thought that the (looked like refurbished recently) pool bar and pool area and the very enjoyable snacks (usually cooked by one of the brothers)and drinks was almost bordering on 4 star.
If we were to be critical at all it would be to mention that the food for breakfast in particular is perhaps a little too simple. Some more fruits and yoghurts or similar would be good idea.
Overall, this is a good place for people who do not want or need to be in the thick of Faliraki.

Dear trippers087
Thank you for your time in sharing your opinion about our hotel.
As you mention most of our rooms have indeed sea view and the room that you also stayed has indeed garden and pool view. Since our 2012-2014 renovation we have also made some serious works at our garden and hotel’s areas so that all of our guests will enjoy their stay. We as a family and our staff, always do our best for every service that our clients will get, whether thy are at their rooms, Aqua Pool Bar & Restaurant, Venus Main Restaurant, and all hotel premises in general. Regarding breakfast, yoghurt and fruits are also served but we have well kept a note about your opinion.
Additionally we would like to really thank you about your nice words about our hotel and services in general.
We really hope to see you again at our hotel and we wish you all the best

Just got back from my 9th holiday at the hotel...each year the rooms get better! The drinks get nicer and the hotel has just a great feeling of being welcome. The pool bar improvements are still looking amazing and there's nothing better than a frozen glass filled to the top with mythos sitting by the pool!! Takis and Taz and the whole family take such good care of everyone....can't wait to come back in August and see all the guys once again :-) amazing place!!

We stayed for a week in May on a family recommendation. It was our first holiday together and the Venezia made it very special. They are a lovely welcoming family and really looked after us. The hotel is out of the centre of faliraki which is what we wanted. The hotel has everything from nicely spaced out rooms, apartments and bungalows all round the site, a great pool area, pool bar serving a great variety of meals, snacks and drinks, indoor and outdoor children's areas and a lovely spaced out bar and balcony. Nothing negative to say. It's up a steep hill so a car is handy but there is a bus stop on the road outside. Loved it and would go back tomorrow
