Mitsis Faliraki is a good hotel, with eccelent fasilities. Big clean rooms, whit well funcking AC. Very well outdoor arrangement. However, there være too much que at the dining room. At all meals, there were que both to come inn and be placed to a table, and further more, even longer que to get hot meals. Most service personell være nice and polite, exept ms "Sunshine" (dark haired, middel aged woman) at the bar/Crepes. She looked tired and misfit all the time, morning or evening.
There were no fitness center available.

Just returned returned from 14 nights arriving at 11pm on the 26th of june to the lovely smiling Georgia who our 7yr old son adores from previous stay.we were shown to our room within ten mins and my son jumped straight into pool as connected to balcony which is fantanstic stepping out and wrapping up in a bathrobe that is supplied by hotel (great) room cleaned everyday to high standards mini bar filled every 2 days beer, water, pepsi and orange fresh fruit on arrival.
Breakfast is main restaurant somedays queues but soon seated with no problems and staff very polite and helpfull, good selection to choose from and also fresh omelettes fried eggs made to your liking,
All pools are kept spotless and plenty of sun loungers Elina had moved to pool bar from last year so was missed at the beach bar which other repeated guest also commented on.

The Hotel: 4 Star Appearances
The hotel is very clean; you will constantly see cleaning crew throughout the day. With that said it does take them a long time to clean each room every day. Sometimes we wouldn’t have our room cleaned until 3pm, not a big deal. They have beach towels to rent which was very convenient. Also, we had a room connected to a private pool which was heaven. The restaurants are a lot better than the daily buffet. As for the noise in the hotel that was another issue, children running and screaming in the hallways as all hours of the day/night. Maybe put some carpet in the hallways to help decreasing the amount of echoing.

The Staff: 1 Star
After staying at the hotel for 5 days and having digested nothing other than what the hotel supplied, I became violently ill. To the point I had to be taken to the Rhodes Emergency Room. The doctor there said that it was due to the food. When the manager was presented with this information, she argued and needed to consult the in house physician. Where was this physician at two in the morning when I was violently ill, why did they call a taxi to the ER if they had an in house physician?? Not once did anyone apologize to us, in fact the staff seemed to stay away from us entirely the rest of the stay. The worst part was when they asked for me to remain in my room so not to get any other people sick. The hotel later argued that I had sun poisoning and it couldn’t possibly be the food. This was completely untrue it was due to the food!
Honestly, if at least one staff member was kind about the situation and tried to accommodate us since we wouldn’t eat the rest of the time there things would have been fine. Instead they were rude, unaccommodating and uncaring.
When you’re in the customer service business you need to be there for your costumers or you will get a bad reputation.

I am a travel agent just returned from 14 nights at the mitsis faliraki. We arrived late at night on the 22nd and check in was swift. On arrival we were stunned by the impressive and modern interior. Everywhere was spotless and the photos don't do the hotel any justice.

The next morning we went for breakfast and found long queues for tables and buffet selection. Despina was very friendly and also the two male maitre d's
always were pleasant. It was apparent the hotel accomodated a lot of various nationalities and some of there manners were non existent pushing into queues . The hot food was not hot lukewarm at the least and very little choice everything was repetitive.

The pools and outside grounds were amazing especially the small pool by the specialty restaurants very quiet and lovely area to spend the days. The hotel was directly on the beach with selected watersports available.

The morning after arrival we booked with reception the specislity restaurants and had no problems getting into them .

Asian - friendly service and nice food but limited choices

Mexican - friendly service but not overly rating the food quality

Greek - food quality amazing but service lacked friendliness we git told we weren't booked in and the list thrown infront of us even though we had been given the reservation booking slip by reception

Italian - good food quality service could have been friendlier.

In all restaurants it was apparent they wanted you in and out serving courses while you still eating the previous course. They wanted you to have four or five courses in under an hour ready for the next sittings.

Beach bar - service and choice was excellent especially the iced coffees and toasted sandwiches

Pool bar - good service However sometimes queues for crepes were ridiculous sometimes people
ordered 8 crepes at a time

Main bar - excellent friendly helpful service with good quality drinks and free WiFi in bar area.

Entertainment excellent selection of daytime sport activities however only one of the entertainers Alex actually engaged in conversation and tried to involve you. Evening entertainment I felt started too late and was not enough variety . The fireshow and Greek night were good.

The resort faliraki - a real letdown everywhere felt run down and lots of dirt and Empty shops, tavernas and apartment complexes. Ate out at tgi which was excellent service and nice food at good prices . Found some prices very high compared to other European Destinations.

Easy to walk to bus stop and public bus every twenty mins to Rhodes town costs 2.2 euros each way or shuttle boat was 6.5 each way.

All in all we.booked the hotel based on reviews from.tripadvisor and based on.what we paid felt very let down as to the quality of food and also the service we received from certain members of staff at the hotel. I think the big problem here is that the hotel caters for too many nationalities and preference seems to be given to Russians and French

We had two weeks of nice weather and relaxation but didn't feel the island or hotel was as wonderful as we were expecting and therefore would not return to Rhodes.

My friend and I both in our early 40s returned last Wednesday 26th June after a 2 wk holiday at this hotel; we arrived to a fantastic reception service to be taken to our room which was one with a private pool absolutely out of this world.

The room bar was also free so we could have a drink straight away which was a bit of a surprise for us so we enjoyed a drink around our private pool before venturing out to the restaurant that was buffet style, my only complaint here was far too many people and screaming kids! And foreign people have no manners or control over there children! And the food was only warm when arriving back to your seat to eat! However after this experience we booked into the al carte restaurants for the rest of our stay I recommend this if you cannot abide queues or screaming kids and arrogant foreigners. The food in the al a carte is amazing Mexican - Asian (Chinese) - Greek - Italian and sushi ( only avail at lunch times ) , My favourite out of these was the Greek restaurant and special thanks to Theodore and his team Theo speaks fantastic English and works very hard to make sure you are happy with the food and you stay.

The pools are amazing but be aware that there is a lot of towels on sun beds going on so get up early so not disappointed, there are ample sun beds however if you want poolside it is advised to be up early to avoid the towels of sun bed spat ! But very clean and tidy pools and bar near to the beach. Beach is also amazing with fantastic waters activities to par take in we did the sting ray! I recommend you wear elbow pads! My elbow is still recovering now! and then we did the banana safari which is a definite must and then the Para sailing which was out of this world fantastic experience, Make sure you try and haggle with the prices on the board to get a better deal we did.

Animation Team – daytime entertainment and evening entertainment – Alexandru and his team work very hard to make your holiday the best they put on some amazing shows and very much people persons who work far to hard, however there reward is happy holiday makers, it is a must to see Alex and Emilio’s fire act .
Alexandru and his shaga laga ( animation team name ) team were totally amazing.
They were Always around to entertain you by the pool side or in the evening with different entertainment.
If you did not want to be bothered they would leave you alone but if you wanted to join in they would make you feel most wanted and made our holiday wonderful
Thanks you guys x
Love Dawn

All in all, a truly amazing holiday that ended far too quickly however I would not hesitate to return again.

Thanks Mitsis & Alex and his animation team x

Arrived June 8th , cab from airport is a must ,20 euros ,just missed lunch but this is not a problem as food is available in pool bar and beach bar
Been to Faliraki before so knew what to expect of the shanty town, The hotel is brilliant, we were given a swim up room just to the left of reception, rooms were very clean, bar service faultless ,pool areas and gardens very nice with no shortage of sunbeds .The majority of guests were Russian who were absolutely fine ,they enjoy their drink like the rest of us and we found they queued like the rest of us. The main buffet was manic with huge queues with the problem being that the meat or fish was cooked at the end of the line and when this ran out everyone came to a full stop. This problem is resolved by booking the themed restaurants which by the way must be booked on arrival, we arrived Saturday and could not get a table in any restaurant until Tuesday lunch, we dined in every restaurant except the Sushi and the food and service was very good, if only they would let you finish one course before serving the next ,it really was fast foodish .All in all we had a very nice holiday the staff were all very friendly and helpful but having joined "friends Of Mitsis" we are still waiting for our points but we did get a bottle of wine, some fruit and two t/shirts, Thank you Mitsis for a very nice stay but we would rather have Mitsis Roda Beach in Corfu anytime

Room Tip: Pool and sea view are above the bars and entertainment areas , our room was swim up and very quiet...

My congratulations to the Mitsis group and the great staff at the Faliraki Beach. My partner and I and our friends (another couple) stayed at the hotel for 10 nights in June.

The transfer from the airport took a little over 30 minutes by coach . We arrived at around 21.30hrs and hotel looked beautiful with its blue lighting. Checking-in took barely a couple of minutes and then we were on our way to room 54 and our friends 61, rooms on the lower level off of reception (up stairs). Unfortunately our room (54) overlooked the back of the restaurant and the barrel store. Typically, our friends room was out the back of the hotel with the swim up pool. Our room was a reasonable size with two single beds pushed together. The bathroom was up-to-date, clean and shiny. And in the bedroom one wall was completely mirrored. Overall the decor of the room was modern and of a high standard.

All the common spaces were very clean and immaculately presented. There is one main restaurant and it is busy at meal times. Although don't ask me about breakfast I never made it! At lunchtimes there can be long queues for the hot food but the salad bar and dessert counter were much less busy. The food was of a good standard especially the salad items and the hot food hot enough.

There are a further 5 al a carte restaurants, a Sushi open only at lunchtime, a Greek and Italian open both lunch and evening and an Asian and a Mexican. Book at reception as soon as you arrive for as many as you like, we booked all but two evenings and two lunches. The food is from a limited menu but is cooked fresh and is very tasty. Snacks are available from both the pool bars, one of which includes a creperie (yummy), ice creams and desserts.

There are three swimming pools, the main one can get quite busy but there are normally sunbeds on the grass. The beach is the other side of the wall but sunbeds on the beach cost extra. There is a hidden pool which is very quiet and most of the time only one or two families are using it. Go past reception (keeping it on the right), past the lifts on the right and shops on the left. Take the corridor up the stairs on the right to the very end. Turn to the right once out the door and go down the stairs and you have almost your own personal pool.

If you get a chance go to Rhodes old town. The bus stop is just outside the hotel and it costs €2.20 each way, although it gets really busy! But do yourself a favour and catch the water shuttle back for €6.00 which leaves from the harbour and returns you to the beach two hotels down.

All in all this hotel did not disappoint, the staff are exceptional and I would recommend this 4 star hotel. Thank you for a great holiday Mitsis group, I will be booking another one in the future no doubt.
