“Excellent Service at Rodos Sun.”
Reviewed 25 May 2013

Myself and my partner Terry stayed at Rodos Sun Apartments from 13th to 23rd of May. Rodos Sun self catering apartments are run by Father and Son George and Nicholas Kattavenos, the service is second to none. The apartments are very clean with maid service every other day. There is a bar serving a variety of Soft Drinks, Beer, Spirits and Cocktails, bar snacks are available from early morning to late at night, which we found to be excellent, also a Full English Breakfast which was really good value at €5.00, there is a weekly BBQ at a cost of €10.00. The Pool is cleaned every morning and there are plenty of sun loungers.

Rodos Sun is about a five minute walk to the nearest supermarket ‘ASDA’ with ‘Morrisons Euromart’ a further 3 minute walk along the main street and AB Food Market is about a 15 minute walk from Rodos Sun but offered better prices at the time of our stay.

There are a couple of bar/restaurants just a couple of minutes away, and the Beach, the centre and Bar Street is about a 15 minute walk.

Room Tip: All rooms have pool view from the balcony and garden view from the front door of the apartment.

Although my holiday was in August, the trip is still playing on my mind and I feel the Rodos Sun deserves a review!
A group of 4 of us, all 20-21 years old, and all keen for a lads holiday.

We arrived during the afternoon and Nick greeted us and told us what the hotel had to offer. The hotel had a great atmosphere.. Nick and his family were lovely and would chat away to you and see what your plans were for the day. By the second day Nick knew us all well and by name... probably because we weren't the quietest bunch. He didn't give us too much hassle though when we had music blaring and were causing noise when we were getting sorted to head out, just telling us to keep it down a bit if we got to noisy.

The hotel was a mix of all ages so it provided a nice atmosphere and everyone chatted away to each other while lying by the pool. The bar was cheap and good quality for food and drink!.. countless milkshakes were ordered as a hangover cure!

The BBQ is a mussssst!!! It was amazing and everyone raves about it. The bar crawl that followed was great banter and pretty hilarious. A good majority of the guests go. Nick is keen to get everyone wasted.. including himself!

The holiday was amazing, but the best part had to be the hotel!

If your reading this, thanks Nick from all the boys!

Room Tip: Get aircon if you are travelling in the summer.. Faliraki gets very warm!

Group of 6 of us went after our exams this year and it couldn't have been a better hotel! Really friendly staff, super clean rooms and pool and perfect distance from sea and nightlife. Definitely recommend for the price, friends and family couldn't believe the price! Worth asking Nick for recommendations of restaurants too, we had a lovely meal out at a local restaurant which we'd never have found otherwise!

Room Tip: We had it overlooking the gardens at the front but I don't think any had a bad view!

Rodos Sun was literally the perfect base to enjoy the nightlife while being far enough away to chill out and relax. We went as a group of 4 girls, first holiday without our parents and Nick and the staff at the hotel were amazing. They were always there when we got in and really looked out for us :) the room was really basic.. bed, dressing table, bathroom, 2 hob rings and a fridge. didn't even have any bowls so we were eating cereal and supernoodles out of plastic cups but we weren't really bothered! poor side bar is good for breakfast and snacks at lunch. beach is about a 10-15 minute walk and bar street (which is where the nightlife mainly is) is 10 mins away tops. even has a maccy d's for the way home :) overall we couldn't have asked for more for the price and security!

Room Tip: pool view is preferable.. otherwise you'll be looking at a carpark

6 40 somethings just returned from a week in the Rodos Sun and the place has a brilliant atmosphere!...
From the off Nick, Myra, George make you feel very welcome and you can become part of the atmosphere or do your own thing....
Full mix of all age groups which are managed to ensure that nobody is offended by late night noise...the best that I have ever seen but because of atmosphere everyone showed respect to everyone else....
Lots of quality & value for money restaurants & bars withing 5 minutes walking distance with the option to venture to Falaraki center is approx 10mins.
Beach about 10 mins too but no need....as loads of space and FREE sunbeds around the pool
The BBQ is as everyone else says a MUST....Food GREAT & plenty of it, with the games a good bit of simple fun....
Will I go back YES & & Will I go to the BBQ Yes
Falaraki itself is suitable for all age groups with areas for the young and the old....& if considering I would ignore anything shown on TV as there is so much more that what was shown as your holiday can be as active or as quiet as you want it

In conclusion if the RODOS SUN was graded on its service, atmosphere & enjoyment it is SIMPLY 5 STAR.

As usual an excellent base for a holiday. Nick is the best host we have ever met, knows everyone's names and nothing is too much trouble, the apartmens are very clean and spacious. The pool is lovely to sunbathe round with plenty of sunbeds and very clean.
We wil continue to go there every year as we are always made so welcome
