We stayed at S.o.t.K in October and what a haven it was! Rhodes can be bustling with tourists even in mid-October and after Lindos we were fearing the worst. Although Roges Old Town was as busy, to turn a corner and step into tranquil calm was just fantastic.
Spirit of the Knights is not a 5* Sausage-factory resort but a true boutique hotel where the charm of the decor is only matched by that of its owners conversation. If multi-channel TV, an olympic pool and buffet breakfast is your bag then avoid. If however you seek a sophisticated twist on Medieval, a calm place in the midst of mayhem and a cooked to order breakfast that keeps you full on quality as well as quantity then this is for you.
Oh, and..if like me..you love your history (or are an avid fan of any restoration show) ask to see the photo's of how the mother of this family run business turned a derelict shell into a palace. Deeply envious of her skill and in deeper admiration of seeing a british family pull off such a fab concept. Bravo x

Room Tip: Ask for an upgrade if at all possble and remember, you are in Greece - Mosquito's can bite even in luxury rooms.

If you are looking for a friendly familyrun hotel in old Town Rhodes this is the one. Alex and family are taking very good care of you from the moment you step into their garden. Rooms are luxury and breakfast superb. Our 8 yrs daughter had the best omelette (and biggest ) in her life. We were a family of three generations and we had a Lovely stay, cozy and a lot of privacy, very good for small Groups like ours. Big thanks to Alex, longing to go back. Cheers from Mia and family, staying the first week in nov.

Room Tip: All rooms are nice.

My husband and I stayed for 4 nights in October and found this hotel fully worthy of it"s rave Tripadvisor reviews. We stayed in the Crusader Suite which was full of character without sacrificing modern facilities needed for a comfy stay. Alex and the rest of the team provided a warm and friendly but unobtrusive service with little complementary extras like fresh bottled water in our room each day. Breakfast served in the beautiful private garden was delightful with the biggest, freshest croissants I have ever seen!
We would thoroughly recommend this hotel as a convenient way to see Rhodes town from the inside, whilst having a civilised and characterful place to stay. We hope to be back.

We stayed in the Pasha suite for 3 nights and wish we had planned for longer. This beautifully and interestingly restored old, old building is in a quiet street, close to the main square of the old town, the Palace of the Grand Masters and other historical sites - an ideal location. From our arrival Alex was the perfect host, everything is done with warmth and style and attention to detail. Breakfast is in the courtyard garden and is delicious - is a wonderful way to start the day. The rooms are spacious and comfortable - it was all perfect.

We spent three nights in this tastefully remodeled hotel. It was friendly and very quiet, never heard another soul around, but we saw them at breakfast. The owners are British ex-pats, extremely friendly and helpful. Arranged a guided tour for us, which was amazing. All their dining recommendations were excellent. An easy walk to the old town--all in all a wonderful experience!

Room Tip: We enjoyed the Crusader room. It has a loft if you have kids.
