We mucked up some travel arrangements and found ourselves at this hotel for a stopover we hadn't counted on. It had been recommended by Alex at Spirit of the Knights (also in Rhodes old town).

Hotel Attiki has everything you need including fabulous hosts. A lovely setting, clean rooms, close proximity to the ferry terminal and situated in the heart of Rhodes old town. Breakfast was wholesome and tasty which was a great way to start the day and to end our very short but happy stay at hotel Attiki.

We were a family of four sharing a room at this great guest house. Mara had sent us easy-to-follow directions and it was an easy 5-6 min walk to find the hotel from the bus station at the edge of the old town. Things that we found particularly appealing about the place were; Mara's efficiency in giving us advice about places to eat or visit - she always had time to talk to us or answer our questions; the wine or drinks in the courtyard in the evening; the breakfasts which gave us plenty to eat and good variety with fruit, yogurt, toastie, coffee, juice etc; the great location which made an early morning swim a possibility for those in our party that woke early and the drinks fridge that operated on an honesty basis. Mara was also kind to the children when we left, giving them a small wooden cat a a memento of their visit. We would definitely recommend this hotel as a plus point of a holiday in Rhodes.

Hotel Attiki is a lovely peaceful haven in the bustle of Rhodes old town. Our room was characterful, clean and pretty if a little small. It had a nice balcony overlooking one of the courtyards. Breakfast was tasty and home made. This is a lovely guesthouse. The owners recommended some wonderful local restaurants off the main tourist trail which were exactly what we wanted. We would definitely stay again!

The Attiki is a quaint rustic hotel in the old town. This is the place to be, the newer parts of Rhodes are not that special. The rooms are rather small but well appointed and clean. The biggest plus about the Attiki are the hosts Mara and Francesco, along with Gabriel make you feel as welcome as is humanly possible. The breakfasts are well worth paying the extra couple of Euro for. When we arrived the taxi had to stop about 100m from the hotel and there waiting for us was Francesco to help get our luggage to the hotel! Mara in particular is very forthcoming with useful eating out tips and any other advice you might need. Would have no qualms about staying there again.

This is a gem of a hotel right in the heart of the old town of Rhodes. The rooms are simple, but are all unique and very quaint. The hotel is a gorgeous old building with lovely patio areas for hanging out that have lots of planting for shade.

What makes this place are the hosts. Mara was extremely helpful to us when it came to making the most of the limited time we had. Also some excellent suggestions for places to eat. Bukia-Bukia (sp?) was a really interesting experience (great food for lunch - a must!!). Francesco's breakfasts were very good also.

Keep up the great work guys!!!

We stayed four nights at this lovely bed and breakfast run by the ever helpful and happy Mara and her partner Francesco. We found the place on trip advisor and were thrilled when we were shown to our quaint "jack Kerouac" themed room. It had a double and a single bed, lovely bathroom and mini bar which was very convenient, particularly in a place where you can't drink the tap water.

The location was wonderful, right in the old town and not far from the beach and transport to other places.

Mara is an absolutely lovely person who has no shortage of amazing eating recommendations. We went everywhere she told us and they were exceptional!

Breakfast was delicious and filling and we were disappointed the day we missed it by oversleeping!

The only quibble I would have is the shower is hand held which I find impossible for washing my hair!! But much of Europe has it this way, I guess one simply must embrace the culture!

From the moment we arrived we felt welcomed into the Hotel Attiki family. Mara was waiting to greet us on our late arrival and the great service continued throughout the two week stay with great restaurant recommendations and organising a reasonably priced rental car for a few days. Her lively, bubbly personality added to our great holiday experience! Francesco was a quieter presence serving breakfast with a smile along with Gabriel, am not a morning person so this suited me wonderfully! Even Chichillia who cleans the rooms was always ready with a friendly smile and noticed and reacted to clues during our stay, eg, my mother placed a blanket under her pillow as she wanted it higher, after the next cleaning we both had an extra pillow on the bed, very thoughtful. The location of the hotel is perfect, right in the middle of the historic old town but far enough away from the main streets to be quiet. This is a quirky, friendly, eco-friendly place to stay where nothing is too much bother for Mara or Francesco. As with most Greek islands there are plenty of cats but those at Hotel Attiki are well fed and cared for so they generally just lay around sleeping all day and night! I travel a lot but this is the first hotel that has prompted me to create a TripAdvisor account and write a review, hope to see Mara and Francesco again next year.
