“Perfect little oasis!”
Reviewed 11 June 2013

This little hotel is hospitality at it's finest. The owner, John, is incredibly helpful to make your stay perfect in every way. The location in old Rhodes town is perfect for walking to everything and yet the setting is quiet. The private courtyard is lovely for breakfast and sipping wine in the early evening. The bathrooms are beautifully done, clean and efficient. The beds are great. We were traveling with another couple and it was a wonderful spot to come home to in the evenings!

Room Tip: There are only three rooms. We were in the one downstairs - perfect. Our friends were in one above...

Think no more. Zacosta is the place to stay in Rhodes Town! We recently stayed at the Zacosta Villa hotel and we still talk about how awesome the whole experience was. It is a beautiful hotel located inside the midieval town. What makes the hotel stand out is the service. We were met from our taxi by John (the owner) and from that point on he delivered an exceptional experience. The hotel has only three rooms, two upstairs, one downstairs, and a beautiful patio, where you can unwind after a day of sightseeing. We booked Giardino for our stay, but since Raimondo was available, John was kind enough to upgrade us to that room. He is very personable and provided us with an excellent service. He made excellent restaurant suggestions, and we enjoyed our chats while sipping on ice cold beer. We liked the location in old town as it was an easy walk to anywhere in Rodos, but it could be a little tricky to find your way back to the hotel at night. And the breakfast was delicious - I asked him where to get fresh baklava, and the next morning, he served us baklava at breakfast (the best baklava we had during our entire trip to Greece and Turkey - and I still regret leaving a piece behind). You can't beat the customer service provided by John, and the little souvenirs he gives to his guests. So do yourself a favor, and stay at Zacosta Villa, and enjoy every single minute of your stay.

p.s: John, good luck with your 'Bin 36' concept, and thanks for everything!

This is an excellent hotel run by the best owner. We enjoyed stay in old town Rhodes. The hotel is just barely off the beaten tourist trail. Quiet and close to all the major sites, shopping, and good restaurants. Nice size rooms and great private courtyard. The owner John was very helpful in every way: He picked us up at the ferry. Directions, no problem. Restaurants several great recommendations. Change of plans no problem. He made us feel right at home. No worry. Now what set this hotel owner a part from the other 99.99% is this: One of us forgot their cell in the room after we checked out and were on the way to airport. John to the rescue, calls the cab, races to the airport, delivers the phone at the check in, and refuses payment for the gas. How many of us have left something behind only to never to be seen again? Not going to happen at Zacosta Villa, John will see to that. I would give him 10 stars for service, value, and comfort if I could. We will be back. Thanks to John it was a truly remarkable stay that our family will never forget.

Room Tip: They are all good rooms. We prefer the upstairs room. Beds were comfortable. Rooms nice size and pri...

We found this hotel thanks to Trip Advisor and there could not be a better recommendation! This small owner run hotel is a real gem - in the old town - easy to walk to anywhere. And its just like being at home. We will be back!
The breakfasts are simply great also!

Sometimes in ones travels and I have travelled around Greece for more than forty years, you find a place that you want to continue touching base with, where you know that you will be comfortable, cosseted and looked after in an oasis of quality and charm. Set in the oldest part of medieval Rhodes, inside the walls and down a series of rustic alleyways, the Zakosta is just such a place. John, the owner is staggeringly helpful and goes out of his way to provide a quality of service that will have my wife and I returning over the years. He dropped us off at the ferry port so that we could take the ferry to Symi and then picked us in his car on our return, his breakfasts were delicious and served in an utterly charming courtyard surrounded by medieval buildings next to an old mosque. John is interesting and informative, it is lovely that his bar operates on the basis of trust and his rooms are clean and comfortable with beautiful and well appointed bathrooms - my wife was particularly enthusiastic over the soap, sponge and shampoo gift sets! There is absolutely no doubt that when we next visit Rhodes, we shall stay with John at the Zacosta, indeed, the Zacosta is one of the reasons that we will visit Rhodes again.

We loved our stay at Zacosta! It's like staying at a B&B, only better. We were there for 3 days and John was super warm and friendly, helping us with everything. The breakfasts were great; I loved the bathrooms with all stone and wood; it was elegant and charming and definitely a place we'd go back to. We loved eating on the patio with the medieval backdrop - Thank you, John, for a wonderful stay!

Room Tip: We were in the Raimondo room which had a Queen or King bed in it. Bathroom was gorgeous, with bathro...

We stayed at Zacosta for 4 nights at the end of March. Zacosta is a great little boutique hotel
with excellent service, location and facility. Add to this the outstanding, warm and friendly hospitality of John (the owner) and you get the best hotel for your Rhodes stay.
We enjoyed every minute and can only highly recommend this place for people that can appreciate quality.

Room Tip: Opt of the suite on the 1st floor if available
