“Nice memories...”
Reviewed 13 October 2012

Fantastic vacations in Rhodes! Thanks to Atrium Platinum and its entire staff. I thoroughly enjoyed staying there with my 4 girlfriends and I am already thinking of returning with my partner... Both of our rooms were very spacious and quite nicely equipped. Excellent food thanks to talented chef Lefteris, we tried all of the five restaurants that offer great variety of dishes. Don’t lose one day in the fabulous Spa, they will really take care of you and make you feel totally relaxed.
The location is excellent, close to the city of Rhodes and its famous Old Town. A small walk away from the Acropolis and the Ancient Stadium.
We went by bus (that we took at the citycenter ) to Lindos. It was really worthy, nice memories…

Rooms very spacious, modern and clean. Beds very comfortable. Nice sea views from the balcony. Breakfast was always excellent, lots of choice. Staff always helpful and engaging.

However, my reasoning for 4 rather than 5 star is that the hotel feels unfinished, the cocktail bar is soulless and when the sun is at it peak it feels like a sauna, the tennis court with no nets or fence, the sunbeds with no padding and finally not enough staff around the pool area to provide a waiter service.

Loved Rhodes Old and New City, ate out most evenings, in fact the Kerasma was exceptional and fully recommend trying their menu.

Overall nice relaxing stay in the sun for a week.

Very wide room. Always clean. Every thing is new, nothing broken.
Environment is sometimes noisy (room 210 - 2nd floor)
The team is exallent, proffesional and well trained, gives you warm and pleasent feelling.
Breakfast is exallent.
Dinner: Dishes are not so tasty but there are alot of other buffet optitions to select and enjoy.
I didn't like the way they force you to buy drinks during dinner.
The don't serve water. I understand the business issue, they want to sell beverages but basic act of mediterenian hospitality is to serve water to your guests. Simple pitcher with plain water will do.
If somone wants mineral water, beer, wine, he will pay don't worry.
Lobbie animation, only two nights of 5 i spent. One jazz evening was exallent, the other (called: reggae night ) was poor. Other nights theres nothing else to do exept talking to the charming waitress at the loby bar.

Room Tip: Ask front view rooms. side view is ugly although sea can be seen (428).

We are just back from a 7 day stay at the Atrium Platinum in Ixia, Rhodes. The hotel does have a very clinical appearance inside as there is no carpeting in the hotel and very little artwork on the walls. We had been allocated a room at the side which did not have a clear view of the sea, but managed to change to a pool facing sea view room which was much better. The pool complex is amazing and the staff at the pool bar are excellent. I agree with other comments about the pool being a little chilly at this time of the year and would suggest heating it.

We were on half board and the buffets were excellent. If you want a change from the buffet in the evening there are several small restaurants on the main Ixia Road, within a 5 minute walk of the hotel. We ate lunch at the Surf Bar there on several occasions and found the staff very friendly and the food reasonably priced. One negative comment about the evening meal at the hotel is that they refuse to serve regular iced tap water. If you want to drink water you have to pay for bottled water. We brought this up with the hotel general manager, Eleanor and she said she would look into this for us but we never heard back from her. They do serve iced tap water at breakfast.

We also took the bus into Rhodes old town a few times. The journey takes about 10 minutes. The ambience there is wonderful and it is very relaxing to sit with a coffee or glass of wine watching the tourists. We also walked to the Sheraton Hotel nearby for post dinner drinks. Their bar on the 7th floor has great views and a superb cocktail list.

We hired a car for the duration of our stay and thoroughly enjoyed touring the island. Even the small roads are well maintained. Presoni beach in the far south is quite a long drive, but well worth a visit. Lindos too is very interesting, but be sure to get there early morning before the tour buses arrive.

We found the people on the island extremely helpful and friendly. We stopped at several small villages and received a warm welcome and great cappuccinos.

In conclusion, Rhodes is a wonderful island to visit and we can highly recomme

Room Tip: Choose a high level room overlooking the pool

Great hotel! The hotel is new, clean, the staff is very kind and helpfull. The food is great as well, and there is a lot of variety and options to choose from! It's not in the city center but it's quite close about 7 minutes by bus or taxi. Two tips however, the pool is really cold so I would recommend warming up the water temperature, and also put on some music around the pool (there's music at the pool bar, but you can hardly hear it if you are not around it). Overall, just great!

We recently spent 11 nights at the Atrium Platinum. What luxury and total relaxation.
Staff on reception were very polite and pleasant, the porter was exceptionally informative pleasant, nothing too much trouble for him. All the staff in the hotel were polite, pleasant and helpful and very efficient.
We were on the 7th floor and overlooked the pool and sea. Sitting on the balcony watching the shipping coming and going was loved especially by my husband. Take binoculars!
Rooms very luxurious, yes a lovely Jacuzzi bath, separate shower and two sinks . Toiletries replaced daily, hairdryer efficient , Cleaning by the maids was excellent. TV in room, desk, two comfortable chairs. Balconies spacious and cleaned daily . Rooms superb!
We stayed on a bed and breakfast basis as we wanted to eat out at night. There was everything you required at breakfast, the best i have ever had! My only complaint would be re the hot food, it was never quite 'hot' , warm really and the plates were cold, which i dont like.
Otherwise no complaints whatsoever.
We ate at a superb restaurant on the main ixia road at the front of the hotel. The restaurant olympias and found that to be the best one on the strip. Another one called Elysee was also fab. We also took the local bus into Rhodes town, 3 euros 20 cents for two into town, but taxis are readily available. Eat in the Old town, - such a beautiful town with so much history attached. The restaurants all pretty good standard with traditional greek food.
We will definately return to this hotel.
Spa facilities -didn't use them as they were so expensive.
More a holiday for couples. Weather was amazing and we returned on 1st October.
We never experienced any noise from the air con, it was very efficient.

Room Tip: When choosing a room ask for sea view and whatever floor you require, they are very accommodating.

I spent 6 days at the Atrium Platinum and had a wonderful time. I had a perfect sea view, all comforts I could have wanted in the room, the main restaurant had an amazing choice - the biggest problem was trying not to eat too much! The staff really made you feel welcome, something which is not always evident in a hotel this size. This is one of the best hotel experiences I have ever had and I look forward to returning soon.
